    Good one Omri! Arbhar can do a lot of different things, pretty amazing. How much does it overlap with Morphagene would you say?

    • @OmriCohen-Music
      @OmriCohen-Music  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah, it's a beautiful instrument. About Morphagene, I don't really think that they overlap at all. Already from the way they handle recording, it's quite clear that they are 2 different worlds. It's true, Morphagene can splice the audio into short enough splices, but it's not really granular. And Arbhar cannot really playback full samples like Morphagene.

    where did you get your morphagene replacement knob fir the speed dial? was it easy to swap out? for as sensitive as that dial is i would love to replace with something larger. i just got an Arbhar and all your videos helped seal the deal. thank you so much for all your instructional vids.

  • @lifeformmusic3301
    @lifeformmusic3301 Před 3 lety

    Great video Omri! At around the 13 minutes mark you use the quadratt through the arbhar expander to get a wet signal. Is that the same as using the wet/dry pot on the top of Arbhar itself or is there a difference?

    What are you using reverb wise at 0:29?

  • @collectionofsensations

    Is it possible to jump between different splices using morphagene too? And morph between them. Also the live granular mode, is that kind of how mimeophon works?

    • @OmriCohen-Music
      @OmriCohen-Music  Před 2 lety

      Well, yes, you can sequence the splices. It will not have the same effect as Arbhar, but you can still jump from one splice to another. The Mimeophon is not really granular. You can freeze the delay and scan through the recording, but it will not granulize the signal like other granular processors do.

      @@pavlosfarsalas6347 Well, I've been using different things until now. I used my Zoom recorder as a mic. That worked quite ok. I also used it to amplify a different mic, and that was great as well. I finally decided to get something dedicated and got the Befaco Instrument Interface. I really enjoy it until now.
