You have a right to free speech but not a right to incite hatred.
they dont incite hatred. Its people like you who intentionally TWIST IT into hatred.
People like you would turn "good morning" into "hate" if the wrong person said it.
What hatred?
Define "Incite hatred"
Nigel Farage should be arrested
for urinating in a public convenience
Why? Come on brain box, answer the question.
Yeah, its called the dock.
I'm all for free speech and am happy for them to say whatever they want to say publicly.
What I'm not happy about is that the mainstream media don't challenge them as vociferously as they should.
If Question Time has them on as guests every week, they should be held to account more.
His fascism has been evident from a young age
Kick him behind bars
...after in the balls.
The Reich always play the victim.
We have an orange PAB here.
Send them to Rwanda.
Outrageous that Farridge should be asked nicely to leave Brussels.. He is a third country citizen WTH is he doing in Belgium?
If I had anything to do with any government in the EU, I'd ban all involved in putins brexshit.
Eeeh, he is free man, and last time I checked freedom of movement is still a thing in EU.
@@andreaspetrou9296 farridge lives in the UK does he not,
@@markgoestofrankfurt Yes farage lives in the UK, although some "freedom of movement" is now coming back after EU proposals for a "youth mobility" sceheme.
I would say the point is not whether the far right should have a platform. The point is, the EU is composed of independant sovereign nations and what happens within their borders is up to them. UK is no longer a member of EU and so can no longer have a voice on the rules.
Sovereignty works in both directions. 😂😂
They should have a platform, not because they are good, but because they will eventually implode on themselves with their pointing and not fixing rhetoric.
The irony of this is only the other day I heard Fartage whinging about the Palestinian protests in London, and that they should be stopped. He's basically saying 'My freedom of speech is okay, but your freedom of speech is not okay'
When did Farage call for violence against?
Free speech, fine. However, what the likes of Farage, BravOmen, Bannon, Banks and Robinson demand is not so much free speech. But rather the ability to say anything no matter how offensive and untrue with total impunity and immunity from any criticism, pushback and satire. When questioned or challenged in any way shape or form, these supposed tough guys who call others snowflakes immediately shed tears of self pity.
Give ONE example brain cell
Yes, let's hear all these offensive and untrue things.
They sohould not be gaged, but they should not go unchallenged. My biggest beef is with the media outlets that dont call out Farage, braverman, Tice etc, when they spew thier bullshite.
Well done Mr. Mayor of Brussels!!!
👏👏👏
enemy of democracy
I hope you feeel the same when the communists shut down YOUR free speech.
But the News Agents are being sarcastic!! They're telling the truth when they say that Farage et al are loving it.
I get that to an extent
@@politicalx6151 I agree with you when you say these far right thugs should not be given a platform though
Surely they must of had work visas? or were they doing it for free, which I doubt very much. The authorities should of stopped this before it started
I agree with that
but do they not deserve their sovereignty
Well, the Belgians know what it's like tobe ruled by the national-conservatives. And the national-conservatives happening in Brussels, probably brought back unhappy memories of the sad days of the 1940s and occupation. The Belgians have the full right to refuse any national, of any nation, who won't to use their soil, to manifest their ultra-right anti democratic politics. National-conservatives; is just a new fancy name for an old Italian politician philosophy.
Why didn't they hold their ultra-right anti democratic happing in London? Maybe it's because the UK's police, have the same rights as the Mayors of Brussels have.
You mean National Socialists?
Yes, with a warning of what happened when they were previously allowed a platform.
The irony is they can always take Brussels to the European court of human rights if they don't agree with the decision to stop the conference 😂😂😂😂
He better do it quick then, because his mates in the Conservative Party want to withdraw from ECHR! 😂😂
@@BennySantana501 😂😂😂
There was a barman in the US who kicked out one Individual straight away, as soon as he entered the bar because he seen just slightly under his t-shirt he had a Nazi symbol on a chain. Other customers in the bar worried and asked why he was so heavy handed with that one person. He responded “You have to. He comes in, has a beer, causes no trouble. The next time he comes he brings a pal. They don’t cause any trouble and so you let them back. But then every time they come back they bring a few more people. And after a while they do cause trouble and they become your only customers so then your bar turns into a Nazi bar. So it’s better to turn that guy away straight away.”
It is verboten to criticise globalism.
because it's scheisse
Free speech yes, lies and hate speech no. Lies need to be corrected by anyone who allows them a public platform and the minute offences involving stirring up hatred start to be committed then whoever is allowing them that platform needs to pull the plug on the broadcast & explain why or face the same penalty as the person making the statement.
Years 1930 good people turned a blind eye and let it happen. So I say bravo to the Brussels Mayor.
I think thats where Im at but I dont want restrictions in free speech
@@politicalx6151 I'm in general agreement but they have free speech, it doesn't mean they are entitled to platforms everywhere without restriction. Farages "free speech", posing in front of a photograph staged to duplicate a Nazi equivalent was intended to whip up hate, in all likelihood it contributed to the death of an MP.
Farage has loads of opportunities to speak, including being systematically platformed by the BBC. That does not mean he is entitled to insist on going into any venue and forcing his hateful ideology on others. If a local administration does not want this "movement" proselytising in its public venues it is quite entitled to prevent it.
@@politicalx6151 There is a huge difference
between Free Speech and hate speech.
@@clivesmith9377 do you have the same energy when it's left wing hate??
@@gazzisright7362
Can you describe what you mean by that ?
Are you thinking of Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion, Greenpeace, CND ?
Who exactly ?
The night of the long knives all over again. History must not repeat itself Alex. I'll join up on here. Keep it going 👍👍
Baverman: "...Thought police..." But she'd have Thought Police in her regime given half a chance.
Farage and Co are the very same people who if in power would shut down any kind of conference they thought to be "Wokist", and they'd do it without a thought to the hypocrisy of it.
Indeed, the Tories (including Braverman) have already begun such a process in the UK. They have already restricted our right to protest. And yet, playing the victim is a key signature of the authoritarian.
Nat-Cs worldwide would shut down dissenting voices in a heartbeat. We must take a stand against this hate filled vitriol that pours from them.
Oh look, Braverman getting a taste of her own medicine. Couldn't be happier!
She closed down a far left conference?
Does England even realize every time he appears, it lowers your already dismal reputation amongst the world?
Certainly in my case I'm old now worked a good few jobs as d saying goes u have to be streetwise and farage is d biggest shitstirrer I've ever seen .he's d one that loves to say I told u so a snake
@@noelfleming3567 so you're low skilled
They love THEIRS, but hate it for others.
I live in Belgium and this was welcomed that it was shut down. It hardly made the news. This was including extreme right wing taking part and the mayor couldn’t and the police were not going to make officers free for them. Belgium was right to stop these terrible people.
Yes so they have hill on which they can be pind
Of course they should.
They should be allowed a platform and then the opposing side should be allowed to tell them they're talking absolute crap and explain why they're talking absolute crap. Shut them down and you just end up emboldening them to further their culture wars
We can’t silence anybody no matter their views or political standing. We must protect free speech 🎤
But this isn’t free. It turns out it’s very, very expensive.
Countries that have experienced occupation and real far-right policies tend to have a slightly lower tolerance level to extremism than a country like ours where the press in the 30's thought the Black shirts were a bunch of high spirited boys having a good laugh and should be allowed to have their Nazi rallies...
We know how extreme and unpleasant Braverman is, we know how extreme and unpleasant the international NatC movement is.
You invite one occasionally into a political debate and give them airtime - their right to free speech - to expose just how wrong they are,
but you don't have to tolerate or accept conferences and mass gatherings of these people in your town.
Be careful what you wish for. One man’s hate is another man’s freedom. Stop people talking and eventually they will stop you talking
Let them speak, because the more they say, the more they make themselves look stupid. However, that requires the rest of us to possess critical thinking skills.
To coin their rhetoric, it would be undemocratic to silence them, but they are happy enough to silence their opposition.
I’m a little bit torn regarding what happened in Belgium. Part of me agrees with what happened and there’s another part of me that thinks let them talk and then expose them for the racist bigots they are. But then we are giving them carte blanche to spread the hate fuelled rhetoric. but as has been stated, it was not a big event and was a kind of friends of friends event that no one was particularly interested in. But then maybe we should be interested in these kind of events. It’s a tough one. One thing for sure you’ll always find Nigel Farage at the middle of these things.
Farage has already been given carte blanche. We’ve found out he lies over and over but he has no scrutiny or punishment for his lies. He can lie all day long, and has done but nothing ever happens.
So some free speech is more important than other free speech. Got it!
I'm a Brit living in Austria. The referendum has had no affect on me at all. Im still in the same place as I was the day before the vote. But to me, like many organisations the EU has its problems BUT also to me, I'm a great believer in, to change something you need to be part of it. Walking away is going to achieve nothing and infact (as is starting to be seen) is probably going to be detrimental to yourself.
Farage and his followers seem to regret Brussels and keep coming back. I wonder why ?
Nuff respect
What kind of platform? Everyone should have a right to free speech, and express their own views. Does he deserve to have a platform on TV, on stage, or whatever, no. Nobody has that right. That right is held to whomever ownes that property,. If they want, or not want to host him, that's fine. I do not need to watch, or listen to the guy. It's very easy to walk away or turn the channel. Same goes for social media, the "Block" button is right there.
So Weimar was right to allow Hitler a platform?
@@politicalx6151 Like it or not, he was elected to a position of power. The people made their choice. I don't agree with thst choice (easy to say now), but it's a choice they had the right to make.
@@madness1931 Do people have the right to make choices that infringe on other people's rights?
@@madness1931 I don't think Hitler was elected to a position of power, correct me, but I thought he was head of a minority party and vested interests (gullible ones) projected him into power.
@katrinabryce They have the right to make whatever choice they want. Whether it's the right one is up for debate, and ultimately is for history to decide.
The issue was not so much whether people were taking notice of the far right goons at this NAT-C shindig. But rather its very nature and stated aims. Not to mention the influence of somenof those taking part.
Who decides who is free to speak? I believe everyone has the freedom to speak. I do no like the right but need to come up with better speech.
love your videos mate, heres one for the algorithm

They were certainly wrong about Brexit though, it's a disaster. Lots of bluster, promises and deluded arrogance but all we actually did in the end was show the world what an incompetent, failing, dishonest, nasty and irrelevant little nation Britain is in the 21st century.
The Right was very wrong there and should not have any credibility left after the past 7 years....😢
Everything more expensive.
LESS freedom
More immigration
Collapsing NHS
Loss of influence
Reduced opportunities for our children
Stale food in the shops
British farming and fishing collapsing.
Right right? Yeah right! 😂
😂😂😂 really? If Nigel Farage was correct the NHS would be amazing. Farmers would be happy, fishermen would be happy, the economy would be booming, we wouldn’t be suffering from a cost of living crisis and immigration would be at acceptable levels. Instead immigration is at the highest levels in decades. None of his “solutions” actually work.
Farage is not far right
😂😂😂😂 well what is he then? A centrist?
@@sarahbarrett1247 right of centre. Certainly not far right.
@@retrorampage484 😂😂😂 keep deluding yourself. If Nige is just off centre I’d hate to see someone you consider far right. Sunak and Braverman would need to look out for them. They’d definitely be on the plane.
@@retrorampage484 FYI someone just off centre would still have a little tolerance of the other side and would appreciate some of their ideas, not all of them of course but enough empathy for their point of view. The fact that Farage has zero tolerance for the left or their viewpoint puts him right bang at the far right spectrum of the political table.
We all hate to see people who are far right. They are usually espousing horrible ideas. Farage is not one of these people.
