I am a lefty but something has gone very wrong over the last few years, I didn't leave the left the left has left me, they are fantasists and authoritarian, I knew things had gone mad on the left when we had BLM protests about a man who was killed thousands of miles away by another countries police force. the left is full of hate now and zero thinking, after they have attacked and subjugated women, the right, certain religious groups, they will turn on their own, their entire modus operandi now is aggressively them and us and anti respect for others, just like in the 1930s.

    What I don’t understand is why any white British person would even consider voting for someone as divisive and ruinous as Khan. I guess they aren’t watching this, but I’d like to know. Also why the British parliament seems to condone the Islamisation of London, why the so-called conservatives made no effort to put up a decent mayoral candidate against Khan? It is an outright betrayal of everything that England stands for. I do not understand what is happening. Reason seems to have long departed, or it is merely down to who is funding Khan and paying off the politicians?

    The unfortunate thing about the London Mayoral election is that of 6.1 million voters only 2.4 million votes (40%). Khan got just over a million votes so the reality is that only 18% - fewer than one in five of the electorate actually voted for him. The problem is local democracy is dead because only the 'block' vote votes and the disinterested majority are not heard.

    As Mayor Boris got around by cycling, but Khan decided to spend a huge amount of money on an armoured car for him to get around. That is one big waste of public money which he should be made to pay back. Khan keeps promising, every time he runs that transport fares will not rise and every time they do rise. Boris wanted to buy water canons to quell crime on London Streets but Khan closes Police stations thereby increasing crime. Khan was unhappy with the money raised by the Congestion charge so he not only increased it he bought in ULEZ and a pay-per-mile charge. He is crippling London. I feel that when it comes to the Mayor votes it should be that once two terms have been served it excludes a person from standing again, ever similar to the presidential rules in USA.

      There is a need for less emphasis on politics in the UK, we could get rid of the dross and reduce the number of 'represenatives' to 200, if they actually worked then they would do more for the country, but if this happens then the journalists wouldn't have a career, it's 99% nonsense, driven by the silly chattering folk who can do little more than that.

    That poor boy that was killed in Hainault was killed by a nut case, nothing to do with gang violence. Only way to deal with knife crime is to have more police which the tories cut the spending on.

  • @mamkam100
    @mamkam100 Před 29 dny +1

    Well this whole question of knife crime, it is relatively small, and West Midlands has the highest per 100k with London coming 2nd. Cleveland, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Humberside, Merseyside, all with similar issues. So this seems to point to a wider cultural change perhaps. And my perception, like most others is that liking Enoch Powell is indicative of far right views. I think that’s fine, if that’s what you think and believe. And ULEZ is not a big deal. 9/10 cars are compliant. I’m a working class guy living on the outskirts and I have a cheap 2006 Ford Focus that I bought for £1800. I had a cheap Fiesta before that, both compliant. I think these guys overestimated the level of supposed disenchantment with the mayor.

    • @Camille_Anderson
      @Camille_Anderson Před 25 dny
