Boyzone Tribute To Dearest Friend Stephen Gately (Ronan Keating speaks)

- Ronan Keating has said "nothing will ever be the same without our dearest friend" in an emotional statement given ahead of Stephen Gately's body being returned.
Speaking in Majorca on behalf of Boyzone, Keating said: "We have had countless messages of love and support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
He also said the future of the band was "too hard to think about" as their world had "changed forever".
The bandmates have flown to the Spanish island to take Gately's body back to Dublin.
They will spend the night watching over their friend inside St Laurence O'Toole's church on the street where Gately grew up, after the singer's mother asked them to.
"Stephen's mother didn't want him to be alone in the dark, so Ronan, Keith, Mikey and Shane have stepped up and will sit with Stephen's body," manager Louis Walsh told Sky News Online.
"He was like their little brother and they want to be a friend to him in death as he was to them in life.
"Stephen was a beautiful young man and we can't believe he has gone."
Mass will be held at the church this evening after the singer's body arrives and a funeral service will be held at midday on Saturday.
Volunteers have been working to tidy up the grounds of the small church ahead of the arrival of the mourners.
Celebrity friends including Westlife, Gary Barlow and David Furnish will accompany Stephen's family and friends to the service.
The singer's coffin will be carried into the church by his four bandmates and two of his brothers.
Parts of the Irish capital are expected to come to a standstill as Dublin remembers the boy from Sheriff Street who achieved fame and fortune but never forgot his roots.

yes this is true, as average joe's, we'll meet friends for a few hours in school and are then gone home, same with colleagues, even at home we won't spend every minute with our families, our interaction isn't nearly as involved as these guys, they were literally together 24/7, 48 weeks a year for 7 years, their bond is very unique.

Do any of you who are wrongfully disrespecting Stephen Gately realize (or even care about) how the remaining boys are feeling? Obviously not, have some respect! And how anyone could disrespect the likes of someone who did nothing wrong and only showed love towards whomever he came into contact with, should seriously have a long hard look at themselves, you must really lead a very sad existence. Also, don't forget, Steo was a human being first and foremost (just like you and me), and should've been (and should always be) treated as such. Just because he was gay should've had no bearing on how we all perceived him. I for one absolutely doted on that gorgeous man and loved him to bits (I always will). RIP my #1 sweet man, you'll forever be in my heart and never forgotten. xxxx

@longdongdude Have you any respect at all? We're talking about the death of a human being here, whether he was white or black, English or American, straight or gay, it's a loss to the world. God taught us to love everyone, and God loved Stephen so much that he took him with him. Don't judge him because he's gay, because after all, it's something he couldn't help. And he never harmed anyone, so have some respect and if you were not a fan of Stephen's, just don't comment.

they have new footage of him in his last hours...he took 1-2 drinks, he wasn't drunk. and he was in the pub for 36 minutes before he left with his husband and two friends.
the bartender said he was happy and relaxed...not trashed, not drunk. he died from natural causes...fluid in his lungs.

I converse with my son in it but not part of it only and no other living or dead second time around for what is to be completed and done regarding my sphere all up and out of it the resurrection of the dead this is a task to completion.
Father they are all not bothered and couldn't give a fuck and have said to me they don't want live forever.
My son expect nothing they are all dead I do not decide when they die it's the nature of what they fell to that takes them anything we do get is a bonus.

sadnessfullofjoy they knew him since they where 16 of course it was from the bottom of their hearts... and steo died because of fluid on the lungs which he had and didnt know about... which is really sad cause if they knew he had it he might not be dead 2 day and every1 would have the person they loved back where he belongs
