It's so dope that you know how to sew. My grandmother is a seamstress, she can make anything. But she started sewing when she was 5. I wish I payed more attention growing up. Your so talented.
I know this comment is old, but I had to say this- it's not too late to learn! I'm almost 50 and just started sewing this past year. If you want to learn, you absolutely can!
@@LaynieFingers i think I can. I have a machine and I worked at a fabric store for a couple years before. I learned even more then. I think I might start trying. My daughter is 4, maybe I can practice and by the time she's a bit older I can teach her some things! ❤ I'm glad you got to sewing yourself too!!
@@genevieves8908 Do it!! Expect to totally butcher some things, and that's fine. But learn from things, and don't be afraid. And think how fun it will be to make exactly what you want... I've also been making jewelry, and it's so much fun to be able to respond to, "Wow, where did you get that?!" with, "I made it!"
@@LaynieFingers I think I will. It would be cool to make doll clothes for my daughter. And I loooove jewelry. I dont make it, but I like to thrift it from thrift stores and tag sales. Jewelry is my passion. My stepmother started making Jewelry a few years ago, she started wire wrapping, and now she making the most amazing things with all different medias and materials. Im so proud of her. I wish we all had time to just be creative. It would help people get through so many things. Creating things can be so therapeutic. Good luck with your sewing and Jewelry making!

Iridescent high heeled boots or matching leggings and heels aren't copyright protected lol. Not mention the former has been around since the 80s, Balenciaga just "brought them back" so to speak.
Personally I don't like knockoffs. However, statistically speaking knockoffs actually increase the sale of the product they mimic because they increase brand awareness. For example, some people watching this video may have never known Balenciaga sells boots like this if it weren't for this video. It's shocking to me how none of the top comments are from other DIY clothing makers. I am though and I really appreciate you sharing your tutorials! We're just way ahead of the curve I guess. I hope more women do get into DIY. Not only is it fun, and builds confidence, but you're mind really opens up to how expansive fashion can be and how, when you tailor an item to your own body, THAT'S when you really look good wearing it. You'll never be able to buy the pleasure you can get from how tightly you can tailor your own clothes.

You can use a razor blade to cut along the shoe seam instead of the seamripper. I'll have to try making these. Thanks for the video.
An exacto knife might be more stable to use.

Obviously, a 6'5" man isn't going to make this outfit. But let me just say that I have always thought that anyone who can look at a garment, make a pattern, and then sew an outfit--well, those kinds of people have some kind of super-human strength!
I mention my size only because I can't go to a regular store and buy anything. I'm forced to go to a big and tall men's store, where they believe that every big guy only wants to wear preppy clothes, graphic tee-shirts with NFL/NBA/NHL team logs or (even worse) beer ads, and other stale looks from the '80s and '90s.
I would love to be able to buy my own fabric and make my own clothes.

Wow! I believe you should start sewing so you can make your own clothes so that you are happy with what you are wearing. My dad has the same issues and request I make him things for special occasions.

I bought that iridescent fabric for tutus, but it was at the end of aisle with on a special display. Went back for more, but it was all gonna. Had to buy different, similar kind.This is a cool project for going out pants.

use the spandex pant pattern and add the boot. pattern. I made the barberella costume for my daughter in the silver ab this 2018 had no idea who that was but we watched the movie and down loaded many visual pics for point of reference. my fabric was the stretch leather type it came out awesome. she's going to flip when she sees you version of these panboot! tx.
