  • Short version. The grass along the windrow garden I started this spring, was ready to mow again. I had planted it with sprouted seed potatoes a week ago. See • Planting potatoes thro... Here I am scything the grass so that the windrow ends up alongside the old mulch. I am using an 85cm Falci 100 scythe blade. Then I rake and roll the windrow of fresh-cut grass on top of the old mulch, being careful not to cover or damage the potato sprouts sticking up out of the old mulch. I show a close-up of the leaves already growing on some of the sprouts, only a week after planting. A song sparrow sitting on top of a fence post near my camera, adds a lovely early morning soundtrack to this video. For more info on my windrow gardening method see onescytherevolution.com/windr...
