Doing the same thing over & over again, expecting different results
Something I took for granted that I really miss is sitting back listening to the elder men talk. Back then, kids were expected to be quiet when adults were speaking, so you got to hear about everything they discussed. Even though I was a kid and a lot of what they talked about I thought was boring adult stuff, I picked up on a lot of what they discussed and I now realize it helped shaped me into the man I am today.
Fast forward to today and I am hard pressed to find spaces like this. Men have become so passive that they are reluctant to have an opinion about anything, let alone share time-tested knowledge. Now that I'm an adult with a family and career, I long for discussions like this because there is so much good knowledge being passed around.
Thank you for taking me back to a time that is very familiar to me. You two knocked it out of the park. I literally took out my notepad and took notes. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in the future. I will certainly be tuning in to check it out.

I was the kid sitting at the table in the mid 70’s listening to the adults talking when the rest of the kids were off making mud pies in the back yard. These were depression era people and WWII vets and their stories would captivate me for hours.
These days kids are so brainwashed I don’t even bother. You can’t get their attention for more than 30 seconds. I think we should just die with our skills and knowledge and let them all rot. Seriously. They don’t DESERVE the same country our parents left to us.

Bronk tale is the very best movie ever especially for kids growing up in this reality. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. I'll never forget that line my son uses it all the time . That the influence it had on a teenager

I'm 43 and a lead guy at my job. Man, you guys know so much and are so spot-on. The things you guys are saying here are things I'm really just starting to figure out within the last few years. Younger people, take note, and apply what these guys say. I wish I had someone tell me these things when I was younger.
'if you go to the store and know what you want you are done in minutes. if you just shop you are there for an hour"
hell yes! work in a deli and this is so true. so many customers just browse for 30 minutes and trying to ask them if you can help is like pulling teeth. and some customers it is like a script. the moment you look them in the eye and say good they they are "i would like 1 lb of roast beef, shaved up, if it is over weight it is fine" and you are done in under a minute.
I can get in and out of a store faster than lightning. I know walking in exactly what I want. Cheaper/more expensive. Doesn't matter. I don't shop. Never have.
My grandads are well gone. So Michael & Chazz are filling in for them with great advice. Love from Scotland💚

I live in Kokomo, IN Michael, and visited New York City a few weeks ago and felt safer there except the subways and the rat infestation due to too much garbage on the sidewalk s and alleys..A Bronx Tale is one of my favorite movies of all time..Great live...I have worked at Chrysler for almost 30 years and still respect what Iacocca did to save the company only to have Bob Eaton sell it out to the German s/Mercedes...Great live, I can relate to all of this and I have Italian heritage too, even though my pops was adopted into an Italian family..
