- This week we are joined by a Sopranos legend, Vincent Pastore. You know him as the wise guy character on the show referred to as Pussy. Apparently his character was based on a real person in New Jersey and was a cat burglar! Vincent tells us about his role in the hit television show The Sopranos, working with James Gandolfini and how he started acting. Vincent is from New York and started acting in college that brought him to big roles before the Sopranos. Listen to his stories about owning a bar, becoming and actor and more!

Chazz, only reason why you don’t have a million subs already is because nobody is aware you have a podcast. I personally just found out about it today. So glad I found out
I just found out today from the Joey Diaz podcast 💥
@@ScarfaceAngelll Same here Diaz, Thank Mad Flavors. :) Worked with zito, and Vinny On THIS THING OF OURS. Pete Gashin produced Bronx tale.

Hard to believe Vincent Pastore will turn 76 this year. He looks and sounds great for his age.
Most amazing thing is that Chazz is 70 and Vincent Pastore is 76
In this day in age 76 is like being 36
@@Don_Salieri1899
I’d have to agree overall. I just wish it was also the case with Ray Liotta RIP
@@carlograziano722 RIP
Italians and Sicilians eat lots of meat and animal products. Raw meat, seafood, butter, saturated fats, eggs and such. Their cholesterol is high compared to what other Europeans have but cholesterol is essential to the body and keeps the skin and heart good. No wonder they all look so good so old, look these things up the because all this vegan vegetarian nonsense with inflammatory plant and seed oil madness is very bad your health.
We have this false notion that our favorite actors ie. James Gandolfini, Tony Sirico etc. are indestructible and are 37 years old forever . Seeing Tony Sirico age the way he did broke my heart , because believe you me he was a piece of steel! A Man’s Man . But we have our time when the clock ticks out …. Vinny looks great God bless him . Tony James , Ray Liotta ,Frank Vincent are sorely missed ! May they all rest in the sweetest peace . They live forever in our hearts ! Buon Anima 💪💪🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🙏🏼🙏🏼😔😔😔😔
Paul Sorvino and Jimmy Caan also
Chazz is a great actor , Bronx tale was over the top.
Oh my God, what a pleasure it was to listen to Mr Pastore. You truly have the best guests. Thank you for a great show. Keep it coming.
He's Mr Diaz for all I care
Mr. Pastore? hahaha dude come on
I have seen so many mob, gangster, mafia type movies as I love the action, but I want to tell you Mr. Palminteri, YOU have been my most favorite mob actor EVER! Ever since 'A Bronx Tale' I have yet to see one better than you in charactor. I even had tears when the dude stepped behind you and shot you in the movie. I was really drawn to the part you played. Thank you for being such a super guy who enjoys his fans.
Oh man, now I know what happens! Damn
I think the reason Chazz and his podcast are so special because he reflects the Italian American culture that has been lost over the years. The way we talk to each other, the food we eat, how we love our family and friends, and even most still going to church for holidays. Because Italian Americans didn’t pass down the language, it is less pronounced, but I still identify more with those values than I do with being an American or white.
Bravo
Sopranos showed that well when Tony went to Italy and dealt with the original "old country" Mafia and it was jarring to him.
Vincent Pastore is only 3 years younger than Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci. 4 years younger than Tony Sirico (RIP), 6 years younger than Al Pacino, 5 years younger than Chazz, 5 years younger than Tony Danza, 7 years younger than Paul Sorvino (RIP). To keep to Italian theme going. He's the same age as Sylvester Stallone.
Chazz is younger than Vincent, Chazz is 70 at the moment.
Many old school mafia actors passing away. RIP
All of the old schoolers have and we will meet the big shooter “That’s Life “ thanks for your comment….
I still can't get over the fact on how similar Vincent Pastore and Joey Diaz look
Love all the old school Italians! Italian pride til i die!
I respect your culture.🇺🇲🇮🇹👍🏼
@@MrRed-tf7bv Try to remember that there are good and bad in every culture and it's easy to get caught up in the hype when people start slinging shit around like monkeys in a zoo. 😉 Never judge a book by its cover but rather by its content inside.
Using Serbian orthography?
I can dig it.
Snitches
Never get tired of Vincent Pastore great actor and story teller.
I remember thinking that Vincent Pastore would make a PERFECT Angelo Ruggiero not even knowing that he DID play him and he did PERFECT!
Quack Quack
Vincent pastore owned a bar in the 80's in my hometown of New Rochelle, NY. It was called "the crazy horse" my mother and uncles were in there regularly
I love how an acting superstar like Chazz gets as much of a thrill doing his Billy Bats impression ["Go get your shine box!"] as much as we mere mortals do!!
Vinny looks like a old Italian grandmother.
😁
This is a master class in interviewing, better than Howard Stern. Chazz understands that the show is for the audience and asks the questions that the audience would ask..and gets the answers. Pastore really opens up on this one, laying himself out for better or worse and does so in a relaxed matter of fact manner. I felt like I was in the room. Great job Chazz.
Thank you my friend
This was such great entertainment - appreciate the conversation ... listening to these stories is pure gold.
My father is full Irish from Boston and my mother full Italian from South Philly. My mothers father was born and raised til 8 years old in Italy, from Calabria….I wish there was a way to post a photo on here of him because he looks like he would be Vincent Pastore’s brother. They look almost identical it’s uncanny. The only difference is he had jet black hair and never greyed other than his gray sideburns until he died at 87 years old. I wish my grandfather would have lived to see the Sopranos, he would’ve loved it.
Put it on your pfp
Terrific show Chaz 👏 such fantastic guests you have ! Please , keep them coming 🙂
It's like I'm sitting in the room with these guys. Another great episode.
Great show. I love Vincent and the old stories. Wish it went on for 3 hours.
Chazz is a man of class and wisdom and integrity. God bless him.
Great interview love you guys 2 great actors together thank you for the great interview chaz
Love the old school content and putting history right time line while the real people are still alive from the family's history of how things relay went down
I really enjoyed this show. There's nothing like old friends getting together and conversing...
So glad I found this! I love you and this format 💜
Seriously this podcast needs to be longer!
Great show...I just subscribed. I loved Bronx Tale, it reminded me of my neighborhood growing up in Astoria Queens. I lived a 6 unit apartment house at 2338 Broadway that was the exact one as Deniro lived in, in the movie. Met Chaz briefly in Harrahs, A.C. as he came out of the showroom at the completion of his Bronx Tale play. He was very exhausted from the arduous performance but said hello to us in the lounge. A true gentleman , great actor, and proud Italian. Bravo Chaz.
Absolutely epic show! Love it! Vin is the best! 🔥🙏🏻❤️🎥💪🏻
OMG. Such a pleasure to listen to Vincent Pastore. I live in Harrison and knew the Santadonato family from town. My husband grew up in "the west" of New Richelle. Great podcast
This guy 75 yrs old! God bless him!
I would love to be actually sitting in a pub with these guys. They are from 'that life' but not part of 'that life', but have some amazing anecdotes which are almost like a behind-the-scenes.
Vincent and Joey diaz are a near spitting image of each other
its honestly uncanny
Definitely,
Tremendous
I never saw the similarity physically speaking
Always thought they were half brothers Vincent and Joey Diaz
I truly love listening to both of speak..What a great inspiration that card would be. Hello from Oklahoma. I'm up late due to thunder storms. So what better way to spend the time
No joking these guys i could listen to for hours on in...... Very blessed to enjoy great content...I salute!!!

Chazz, loved you on the joey diaz podcast. Excited to add your podcast to my rotation.
Armand: "Who said you could leave?" 😂👍🏽
Wow! finalmente I know why he pronounce his name Pastor and not PastorE like all Italians do, I always wondered why😄
I knew Matt Dillon. He lived in Chelsea 19th St in the late 80's and early 90's ( maybe he still lives there who knows)? . Ill mannered snot nose originally from N Rochelle. I hung out with Pesci for 6 or 7 years right up till he made The Raging Bull. Hilarious guy. Great with the prank calls when he was in the restaurant in the afternoon (when he had nothing to do). At night I would pay him NOT to sing at my table! Joe D, Joe D Jr were the best . Gar and Connie were also around until they divorced. Connie had to leave the neighborhood (for good).
Vincent is a great guest. Great episode!
Great show ! blessings
Love watching your pod big fan UK

I keep hearing Dante and thinking, 'I remember kid when you used to have to wait in the car!'
What a wonderful podcast this is
Grew up on Lorillard Place by Fordham Rd. Till I was 10. My father remarried and lived in West End Warren street till I was 17. Can relate to both Nieghborhoods these 2 are from. Great 👍 podcast. Thx 😊
He is one of the best actor's in Mafia movies. Amazing in Gotti and others movie's.👍👍👍👍👍👍
In all his movies he’s great
True Love is an excellent and under appreciated film. Way to start at the top, Vinny.
100% Excellent!!!
I loved the episode with Vincent Pastore on Grounded For Life where he played Claudia's uncle who was in the Mob. It's my favorite episode.
Luv this
I used to be a bartender and I applied at the Crazy Horse Saloon once, as I lived in Westchester at the time, but I never got the gig.
Honestly one of the funniest roles I've ever seen is Night at the Roxbury... "There's Jim Carrey I gotta say hi, get over here you pet detective bastard! Smokin! You crazy son of a bitch!!" Lmao
Belmont Italian American playhouse was the name.... that's how I got in your movie a bronx tale
The man who played Luca Brasi in Godfather. Wad a made man in the Columbo family
This guy is great They both are
Chazz, we need you in Toronto. More Italians here per capita than in New York! People would love your show here.
Vincent is a great actor, like that he on your show.
Shout out from the Boogie Down.
Keep doin great show
First time watching the Podcast
....All the Way From the UK....
Crazy to think Vincent Pastore is 5 years older than Chazz

Can't wait to see you in Lancaster chazz.
This Is Awesome 🤩
I studied at HB studios in my 50's its amazing what you can use for you to get to the lines. Listening to your partner in the scene is a must as opposed to just knowing you're lines.
Boy o’ boy the two of you guys have done a lot of acting work🙂👍
