    How can a £3000 125 be seen as anything other than a standard price bike with questionable re sell 🤯

      Brand new, you're pretty limited. Any of the big 4 Japanese manufacturers you'll be paying minimum £4200. Throwing a wider net, looking at Chinese bikes, £3300 is pretty much the bottom end.

    As a rider with very little patience since I first started riding I naturally have always fell into to get it right now camp. However, I would whistle as I walk past this one and wait until I had the money to buy a better quality bike. Maybe I'm wrong but I think there will be a lot of buyers remorse on this model.

    Nice bike, like most Sinnis and Lexmoto this is a light rebrand of another bike. In this case the brand is GPX, from Thailand, I think this is based on the newest GPX Demon, which is a 200 or 150, so I wonder if the engine is different or just changed slightly down to 125 from 150.

    my yamaha r15 v3 was 4.5k AUD rideaway, i dont know if they're available in the UK, but it's been a flawless bike in the 6 months or so since ive had it. it sits at 110km/h easy (ive actually gotten it up to 147km/h), i get like, a billion miles between refills, and the only real downside has been the frequent service intervals.

It can definitely go faster than I was pushing it, though it's pushing redline at 6th at that point 😄I had a huge hiking bag & a full tank + some cat ear helmet accessories that probably knocked about 10km/h worth of wind resistance off the poor bike 😆

    My experience of a Chinese bike was diabolical. It was brand new and within one month of ownership the engine needed replacing due to the head bolts not being tightened down in the factory.
    After that despite summer only riding and being pampered it literally fell apart before my eyes. It made it , just to its first mot at which point I found out the cast aluminium rear wheel was cracked and needed replacing.
    Never ever again. I’m on a Honda now and couldn’t be happier.

  • @will_on2793
    @will_on2793 Před 2 lety

    Its a shame, if this bike was priced better and/or released a year or 2 ago it would be perfect, but at 3k a Zontes ZT 125 is much better and has ABS, better tech and more power. Unfortunately there's no reason for people to buy this bike. The LXS has more power, £500 cheaper and an extra year of labour warranty if people want a sportbike, or the ZT if they want the most power and tech but don't mind a naked bike. I love Sinnis, but this bike is obsolete in the current market. If it made the full 14.7hp it would have been a winner as a cheap sportbike option. A shame IMO

    • @Traxatnight89
      @Traxatnight89 Před 2 lety

      Actually you are wrong, those extra 2hp really doesn't make a difference considering the torque range reaches top speed earlier which means it should be able to get there fairly easy and stay especially with the sports bodywork and 6th gear. The main change would be front sprocket change for higher speed which I'm sure exists somewhere given this bike is available as a 200. I'm sure the r125, zontes G1 and and gsx all have better sprocket setups as stock to reach higher RPM. I know this as I did the same with the Keeway RKR which can reach 83mph with front sprocket 1 up at higher RPM.

    • @will_on2793
      @will_on2793 Před 2 lety

      @@Traxatnight89 Smaller gear ratios improve top speed but sacrifice acceleration which is the main issue with 125s. Even with optimal gearing for top speed and acceleration a 15hp bike would walk over this. If it was lighter it would be fine, I mean look at the old model cbrs. They only had 13hp but do 91 and keep up with 15hp bikes. But as it is this thing isn't cheap enough to make it worth buying imo.

      Your 100 percent correct, every youtuber pushes these Chinese 125s which have terrible resale value. A used jap (big brand) 125 it will more likely be pushing 15hp (125 uk limit) and have a much better resale value.
