    Looks like you'll be splashing soon. I would love to see the process they use to get the boats in the water. Also, my wife really appreciated the video with Anchor Girl cleaning the shower drain. A video of how y'all prep the boat for the season would be a cool idea too. Thanks for the videos and updates.

    SO it's Ontario that's getting all the rain! Nothing in BC to talk about except for cooler than usual temps. I am looking forward to the AC installation video. That's a gargantuan project!

      I'm really hoping we don't get a repeat of last summer, with never more than two days in a row without rain...
      And yes, the A/C replacement turned out to be a lot more time consuming than I had anticipated - mostly due to the confining area to work in. Definitely didn't help my aching back.

    Hello Paul, from a 73-year-old man, if I lived closer, I would like to volunteer to help you clean Boogaboo from top to bottom and make her look nice so we can see more videos. Gil in Massachusetts

    We won’t be in till middle of may. Even with record early ice out my marina is repairing docks and we won’t be allowed into marina basin until mid may. That’s ok cause I have a long list of things to do. Got a bunch of work done yesterday in the snow. Needs to warm up for bottom paint etc. glad you are in soon. Enjoy!!

      I'm surprised that they are only getting around to the dick repairs now. Most marinas would normally do that during the off season...

      @@BoatingWithBoogaboo they did a great chunck of the work in the fall. They are replacing the float chambers under the docks and the docks are on shore now. They just started putting them back in. Then they have water and power hook ups etc. will be nice when done. But it’s a big job.

    Unfortunately I moved to a new winter storage location and they’re adamant about not turning on the water until May 1 so I can’t wash, wax or do pre launch start up until then. I was able to at least put the canvas up and touch up the bottom paint but it’s frustrating seeing boaters already launched at my marina. ☹️. Looks like I’ll go back to my old winter location which was more expensive but usually turns on the water based on conditions instead of arbitrary dates.

      That's unfortunate, as the season should start as soon as weather dictates, within reason.

      @@BoatingWithBoogaboo I actually understand the concern about frozen and busted pipes but for the price of storage, they should have alternative means for running water - like long hoses they can connect to a frost free water source.

      Today's delays were as a result of a last-minute decision to change the condensate line from the air conditioner, which resulted in a damaged bilge pump (right beside it), which resulted in my having to install a new one. Glad I had an appropriate spare onboard 👍

      It is cold and wet here in Ohio also. I dock on the Maumee River in Toledo and all the stuff floating down the river is crazy this time of year. One of the reasons I don’t launch this early

    Does the ac unit drain into the bilge or is there a drain port directly out into the water?

    • @BoatingWithBoogaboo
      @BoatingWithBoogaboo  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Good question. Given that the boat has two units, the pump will generate almost 300 gallons per hour going through the system, so it has to be pumped overboard.
      Here's a video I produced last year that looks at the whole system - complete with a view of the water pitching out and back into the lake; czcams.com/video/3x2VCzzUl28/video.htmlsi=JryTq9C9V9ORnh-a
