Plonker it's about what it could be if you're awaken that's going to be your downfall and would would be on all fronts if you didn't go down that lane.
I love how even though they appear to be in friendly terms, in one of the first scenes the shop keeper doesn’t hand him his bag until he hands over the cash, though in the second visit to the shop the guy extends his arm out and gives him the bag right away, really subtle but excellent detail.

I’m late in the game and just binge watched Top Boy. I really enjoyed this short movie and found it actually very moving to see a life not wasted in a different and very possible parallel. If this was reality, I’m glad he left the street culture and pursued a hopefully successful career and inspire more of the youths to do the same on his success and be a decent human being on life.

That was emotional and I can relate in a personal way.
At the age of 18, I was a ‘road man’ up to no good, I to carried a weapon and faced difficulties with rival gangs. I came from a poor background and lived in a very undesirable part of east london. This was in the late 90’s.
Only by facing these challenges and constantly battling to go against the grain and trying my very best to not being a victim of my environment. I did manage to pull through it all.
Fast forward to today, I am now 38, with a house, wife and a very successful career and live a comfortable life. I never thought I too could come this far and Im grateful I never gave up the fight to be a better person no matter the challenges and despite the environment I lived in.
I hope everyone can take something away from this. Be the bigger person and do the right thing. Life can be rewarding.

The ending was MAADD. The way it goes full circle. If marcus went to the party, he would've stabbed the guys leg and ended the guys football career. But they went it to play fifa instead. Then go back a year later he decides to focus on football. And when he wakes up, because he decides not to use his shank and he influenced his friends, all the weed and the trap phone he woke up with was gone. And the same guy was playing with him at haringey.
I know I'm stating the obvious, but its mad how much of a ripple effect it gives then someone does the right thing.
And it reminds me of a certain rapper who could've done good for himself if he went the way marcus went. (*Cough *cough* SJ *cough*)

That was an absolutely a amazing and deep depiction of how one moment can snowball into your destruction or keep you on course for something great. A wise man once told me it’s the choices you make that determine the path you take. We are all Marcus and too many of our people are choosing not to be the best version of him. We need more film like this that give us both sides.

Great film. I can connect in a way. Lost me mum, daughter, daughters mum, and cousin in a week. Didn't care about anything. Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find yourself.
This touched my soul. I rarely say this. But as he was said to be 16-years old, something clicked. Like, I was thinking:"Come on man, you stab for sneakers?" The same moment I realised, I was quite angry, lost soul at that age too. And the times we're dark. But to the point, the short film touched as I am 32-years old now, and for the long time I looked back and realised, Im so happy, relieved and proud that I didn't give in to those dark times. Thank you for this short film.

Man! Beautiful portrayal of Philosophical Determinism.. The effects of how one decision can offset your whole life, even to the point that it effects others. In a simpler explanation, this short film is like a Domino effect of how D is caused by C, and C is caused by B and so forth. Excellent portrayal especially in the ending where it shows how two paths were available based on a decision he made in 2017. Mad respect. This is deep visuals

All I can say is Wow. it goes into the depth of ghetto youth in london of how simple choices can change the path in life without realizing. Excellent way of plot going back in time showing the impact of his future, current life and emotional guide as it impacts the life around him and people. Very easy choices take you to different paths, you choose your own life this also presents "Live by the gun, die by the gun"

What an absolutely phenomenal master piece. I love everything about it from the actors to the way to way choreograph to the writing. Especially the message at the end. I don’t want to preach but this road life has consequences please choose your actions wisely.
Hopefully this video reaches those who need to see it the most. There is more to life than to waste it. Some of the talent these younger people have is amazing yet they don’t have the chance or help to take it anywhere. Just remember if you reach out to the right people they will help.

This film was really well done. I liked that the story went further and further back in time to that small but pivotal moment where Marcus decides not to carry the knife & go down the wrong path. It shows how making one seemingly minor wrong decision can have major consequences. This was well-written and the casting was spot on too. Good job 👍🏾
