The way this video is cut reminds me of retro corporate training videos. I like it, it's charming. It's like watching an instructional video on how to gamble lol
Great video as usual. One tip I would like to add is: always shop around. Going off the strip or downtown you can usually find table games with much lower minimums, and true 3:2 blackjack instead of the insidious 6:5 blackjack.
6:5 blackjack has overtaken the strip like a disease. I refuse to play it. I only play blackjack off the strip. Not to mention you are seeing a proliferation of constant auto shuffle machines. I won't play a table with one.

I’ve spent the last five years of my life, educating myself on slot machines and gambling so all these mistakes you showed this video I do not make I don’t drink anymore and I usually come home with more than I gamble 75% of the time I come home from Vegas with more money than I gamble with

Great video - the denominators caught us out so many times on our first trip 😂 we check every slot machine now screaming at each other “are you sure that’s only a 1 dollar spin” 😂
Also great advice to only take cash you’re willing to lose - we only ever take cash for tips and gambling so once we’re out we’re out! It is all about entertainment though, like you say, and if we walk a few $100 down we’ve spent a good few days having fun and that is the main thing to remember 😃 (not that we lost 😅)

We used Casino Quest in the Fashion Show Mall, the guys there were great. $25 for an hour lesson. I chose Roulette, hubby learnt Craps. We did so much better in the Casino after learning some basic strategy.

What drives me crazy is people playing triple roulette at venetian and the tables were packed! I go down to the plaza for single zero
These are the same people playing 6:5 blackjack and have absolutely no clue they are playing a sucker game. It's so sad what has become of the strip bamboozling people with no player's knowledge. These people came and played these sucker games and it spread like wildfire. It's maddening!
Any game in a casino can be considered a sucker game. In reality you are knowing and willing putting in money you are statistically going to loose.

Great video. When it comes to mistake #2, this also applies to the sportsbooks as well as I have seen many people when visiting Vegas (especially when I was there during the World Cup in 2022) not know the terms related to sports betting such as over/under, spread & parlay & what they mean before they place a bet. As a result, they overdo it in an effort to try to maximize their winnings & end up losing money when the outcome they wanted doesn't happen. In addition some staff members at sportsbooks get quite upset (especially at the bigger casinos) if they have to take time to explain the basics of sports betting to someone who hasn't placed one before as they want to process as many bets as possible, especially during big events. I totally agree with Jordan that it is important to do your research beforehand so that you are prepared to play that game or place a bet in the case of sportsbooks.

Im a big fan of Blackjack at Durango and slots at Rampart :)
Here’s my advice: Play single zero roulette at the Plaza. Play craps at Main Street for 20 x odds behind the pass line. Play 3-2 blackjack and learn basic strategy. Find a slot machine with a maxed out major. Don’t gamble what you can’t afford to lose. Good advice to use the players card for comps.

Is it true that bubble craps and Eating roulette don’t give tier credits on players club cards? Keep up these great videos, I appreciate all of the info.
Most don’t. The reason being that it’s too easy to get a massive amount of coin-in that way with very little risk.

That came from the Cosmopolitan, it has their logo on it! Unfortunately it was a few years ago so they probably don’t sell it anymore.
Anyone playing blackjack needs to get a basic strategy chart - and use it. It will greatly help your chances of winning!

The drinks aren't really free. With inflation, I always tip the server $2 for her hard work for each beverage delivered. And if someone just lost $100 and got 2 "free drinks," that's $ 50 per drink!

Its good to give some advice going to Vegas, but if a person going to Vegas thinking he is going to lose, why go to Vegas? The reality is people who go to Vegas to gamble is 'HOPING' to win. Negative mindset is the worst thing to have. Many people know chances of winning is small but the chance is there..This is why people gamble in Vegas
There are about a million reasons to go to Vegas. Going in thinking you're going to win money is not one of them, and having a "negative mindset" regarding gambling is not going to affect the outcome. In fact, it will probably help a person stem their losses.
Rule #6 is leave the working girls alone. The po-po will nab you if you try getting a date for hire. (not legal except for a few place outside of the city and the strip.) - (Not that I have first hand knowledge of this or anything....)
Great video! More mistakes. 1. Playing slots at the airport. 2. Playing 6:5 blackjack instead of 3:2. 3. Playing these crazy blackjack variation games and/or the sucker side bets. 4. Playing triple or even double zero roulette as someone else mentions.
in my experience the airport slot machines are looser than whats in the strip.
@@joeking9061 That's a good random outcome. But they are tighter. There are so many documented videos on this topic out there. The strip is getting tighter, too. Downtown is the place to play anything these days. The strip is a ripoff.
