When I got mine new four or five years ago, when I started on this journey, it was the most I ever paid for a watch. Now it’s one of my least expensive watches, but it gets tons of wrist time because it’s so damn perfect. Accuracy wise, the 6R15is inconsistent, but even on my METAS or COSC movements, I adjust the time every day, so I actually don’t mind its lack of accuracy.
Ya I agree the 6r15 is hit or miss. I had several that were very accurate and some were not so accurate. Both were in normal deviation for movement but still too much variation.

It is actually dark coffee brown under clear sunshine.

I have a sarb035. It's nice, but the 6r15 has been a bit of a disappointment. It's within spec, but I prefer greater accuracy and consistency.
