I am here today in memory of my husband, who died on this day ten years ago. He loved Blind Guardian and the Bard song. The first time I listened to this song was at his funeral.

He enjoyed Blind Guardian with his friends in Wacken open air and his friend still keep telling me funny stories about their "adventures". They still do miss him a lot, as do I.

I love how the meaning of the song appears when performed live : when Hansi stops to sing and the public starts singing on its own for some long seconds, you know that their bard’s song will remain and their stories will be remembered even after them. It always takes me to the throat
