I have done CT scan for 6 times. Still the oncologist said l have to do another for him to know why the chest sarcoma refused to respond to radiation/chemo.
Why does this video only have 11k views? The whole world should watch this!
True, It is the most reasonable and sincere opinion on this matter to me so far.
Over 10 min video and the answer was âwe need more studies â. Lol
Do you think full dental scan is safe(Cone beam computed tomography)?
The cone beam is lower in radiation However, no thyroid protection is allowed because of imaging concerns Make sure the dentist is justified for using it I would avoid the cranial facial cbct and only allow the upper and lower jaw to be in the panaramic cbct scan
How about the contrast, Gadolinium-based
X-Rays are Gamma Emissions.
I had one ct scan was scary because am only 26 and doctors one saying I need contrast then other doctors donât give me I was so confused so ending up with out contrast everything was ok I think just they could not make this mind up like
I am 19 years old.i had a head CT scan 2-3 weeks ago just for ear pain. From that moment onward i 've been
Feeling random pain inside my head.i am tensed and depressed i cant even focus on my study.when i consulted another doctor he said that CT scan was unnecessary. What
Will i do now ? Is tumor possible in future ??
I hope u feel better don t worry what u feel is because of your inner ear one ct scan won t do any harm to u just don't repeat it and if necessary go for MRI
Safest approach is to eat healthily, avoid sugar, avoid stress, exercise, avoid alcohol, smoking, and avoid taking unnecessary risks. Once you become ill, there will be unpleasant consequences. This is the remedy for more or less all illnesses. Avoid the hospital as much as possible. If you imagine illness only affects others, you are probably wrong. The health statistics are dreadful and getting mostly worse.
In india ,most technologist manning the Machine are so dumb they don't even have answers to quantum of sieverts they impress on our person . At 28 , i've undergone two CTs(last one yesterday )in span of about 3.5 years , all for concussion which was totally avoidable. The doctor didn't even briefed me about hazards of radiation, now i'm maniacal regarding this đą,what if my hairs fall . The dread of brain cancer , the most aggressive glioblastoma &likes ,are giving me nightmares đ
I hear green food that is G-BOMBS salads and Vitamin C 4k mg per day is best health insurance
good job, #thankyouverymuch
I am 22 year old .I got my CT scan done yesterday whole abdomen with contrast .is there harm of ionising X ray radiation .I got to know about this later on after studying .I am really worried plz anyone tell
Was it just an abdominal or abdominal and pelvis? What was the reason for the scan? It may have been the same or 1msv higher with contrast Other factors are protocol, body mass and year and model of the machine It takes on average 10 years for the DNA damage to show up I wouldn't get anymore at your age For soft tissue analysis MRI technology is far more accurate for high resolution imaging
@bluewave7120 actually I had been suffering from stomach ache for last 4 month .first I under went ultrasound test report was Ok .but pain reamained continuous So I went to another doctor he prescribed for CBCT scan whole abdomen with IV contrast .I got report yestreday .In that too everything was fine .Now I am regreeting why I did so
.I studied it causes cancer tell me It was seimens .But I don't know how much msv it was
Can I get any info regarding CT machine in report??
@@saurabhmishra6537If you contact the medical records dept and radiology all of the details should be released to you
You shouldnât worry as much about radiation as you should about the contrast dye. This dye and not the radiation really did a lot of damage to me. Itâs super toxic, especially for kidneys. For me besides kidneys it really affected my eyes, eye glands and salivary glands. But every one is different.
Ive had so many lost count. Plus over 50 dds and oral surgeons. Cant explain why im so sickđą
What if a child patient is indicated a CT scan but their parents are not informed about the risk? Is that right or wrong to do so?
they are always informed about the risks of ionizing radiation. I mean I dont know if they do in Somewhereistan, but in EU and NA countries there is no way you can get a CT-scan without being informed and sign a paper about it unless it is an emergency.
â@@someonesomeone529Not true...physicians rarely warn patients of the DNA damage and cancer risk of CT scans They are focused on the results and have very little training in medical school about cumulative msv exposure risk
The machine in ur thumbnail that is not a CT scanner that is an MRI scanner
Hopefully AI will crunch these petabytes of data and show a correlation between cause and effect? As a software engineer, it's a 100 mile code of If-then statements, and loops which will continue to require recent data to become 1% correct.
I wonder if Iâm being a hypochondriac but I seriously am so mad at myself for being so stupid. I broke my pinky finger, the base of my proximal phalanx about a year and a half ago, and unfortunately it healed with a malunion, I shouldâve just let it go, but Iâm a guitar player and I was considering doing osteotomy for it. I went to several different surgeons and got probably maybe 7 to 8 different x-rays over the course of the year, I also got a CT scan recently on my hand as well, I have been reading a lot about how I can damage the DNA, I canât really explain it, but before my hand felt stupid and now it feels retarded. I feel like my hand is so weak, I just tried playing the guitar and maybe itâs partly muscle memory but I feel like I basically nuked my hand and destroyed it. My hand CT was a high 4.18 mGy and 101 DLP. I also got a MRI to even though they said thatâs non ionizing. But Iâm sure there is still risk. Which is according to research about a year and a half background radiation. The problem is they donât tell crap about that as youâre going into appointment. Wish they did. Cause I read it can damage your dna and itâs not like after a year and a half itâs back to good. It stays with you forever. This is the most covered up conspiracy of our generation. Withholding the risks of radiation âąïž in our lives.
I feel like I should reply to this comment as its clearly affecting your life negatively. Recently ive done tons of research into X-Rays and ionizing radiation to try and calculate the dose which would cause cancer or any other health risks. From what I ve learnt from French and American sources there is no risk and I assume what is happening to your hand is either something to do with the bone or a placebo effect. The US government allows medical personnel to be exposed to larger amounts of radiation than the general public and the total dose they can be exposed to is the equivalent of around 15000 chest scans in a year. It is also worth noting that the lungs are more vulnerable to X rays than bones and skin are. If the scans were solely of your hand and not your organs that risk is extremely minimal. That being said I hope you are now doing well and your hand is healed, the sensation you are experienced is certainly not due to the radiation.
Have you research foods that prioritizes DNA repair? Blueberries walnuts etc? đ«
You had it for your hand dude. I had 2 for my head. Im the one that should be crying.
That's a high mgy for the low dlp I had a head ct and it was like 0.05 may I think and a dlp 950 which equals to like 1.9 msv
X rays have much lower radiation than CT...
Do ct scans cause heart attacks? My daughter had a heart attack after receiving a ct scan. And that was before she left the hospital.
Yes, after I received my CT I got severe chest pains and was temporarily paralyzed on my left side. Along with other devastating radiation effects. Whatever happened to your daughter after her CT is most likely related to the high doses of ionizing radiation. I got severe radiation poisoning after mine and almost died. We must share our stories and bring awareness to this
Also if your daughter is small and thin she would be more sensitive to the radiation doses.
â@@isabellamarinilli3990you're sure it was from that? You had diagnosed radiation poisoning?
Did she have it with contrast dye? Because contrast dye is more likely to cause such reactions.
I almost died after my CT scan because my doctors didnât make sure the radiation level was safe before putting me in the machine
how did you find out it was too high?
@@aqualol4281 maybe because some of my hair fell out, my bone density was effected and I had the same reaction as people with chemo would get
@@isabellamarinilli3990 That is a reason for sue. If your hair fell out that was a high dose.
@@DrRhyhm Believe me I am trying but itâs extremely hard to sue a doctor. I have contacted many lawyers.
I hope you get them. Completely unnecessary, those bastards should pay.
I had a brain ct scan in 2018 at 19 years of age. They didnot tell me about the risk of radiation.Every moment I cry to myself , what have I done to myself?....
I know how you feel bro. I got two of them now i can hardly sleep at night from fear.
@@apothos666 u feeling better now?
Don t worry one ct scan has no harm
@@apothos666Iâve had 20 scans. Iâm 25. I started at around 15. I just had one done April 2nd because I had to go into surgery. If anyone has a higher chance of getting cancer itâs me lol. Letâs not stress about. I was paranoid before just like you. Most of my scans were done in 2021. On the last one all my organs looked great so I think youâll be alright
I am under 40 and have chronic kidney stones- this year alone I have had 6 CT scansđłđłđł
Me 7 CT within a year đ
Well you have kidney stones that's a good reason to have them done couple weeks ago I had a head ct scan for no reason I pushed for it because I had a headache and felt light headed and my anxiety acted up my own fault for letting my anxiety win me over like that
Can they do an MRI for kidney stones?
@@jimmysavage258 no
I need your help sir! I was really stressed ,Because I took 1 head CT & 1 head and neck ct totally 2 scans in 1 month gap , after my CT scan I am having a pressure headache continuously throughout the day for more than 1 Month , and I came to know that ct scan cause brain cancer .I am 23 years old., Please help me Sir ..
I had two head CT scan too
A good doctor is whom you should ask this question
I had 1 ct scan for my brain when I was 19. Now I'm 21 and I'm good.
Same I had two idk what to expect
Please don't worry. 2 CTs is nothing and will not cause cancer. I have had many more than that myself. Also any negative effects would not happen so soon, it would take 20+ years. You are going to be fine.
I had around 3-4 ct scans in the gap of 6 years for head
Many people did multiple ct scans who I know
Some say too many like 10 can increase cancer risk not with few ct scans
Hey I'm 28 and I've had 2 for my head in the span of 9 years both for falls. Looking back I'm thinking both were extremely unnecessary but I'm a gullible dip and believed my doctors when they said i should go through with it. Now I'm terrified of possible future complications because of those scans. I wish i could take it all back. This has been eating away at my soul. How are you dealing with this? I wish i had someone to talk to but they just shrug me off and say I'll be okay. I want answers man. Its my own life they played with.
Me too i keep thinking about the possible risks and damages that comes with it it's driving me crazyâ@apothos666
