I love the old cuts.. makes me happy to see most of these jewels old cut :-) a part of history! I despise the current jewelers taking value away from old cuts because they think it's imperfect for the current age... an old cut diamond is a true handcrafted masterpiece :)
I do agree with you on that, i really like the old cut, it more lavish! Putting the stone in the center stage.

Actually, the old cut stones are more expensive than their modern counter parts of the exact same grade. In the last 10-15 years OEC = old European cur diamond have become hotly sought after and command higher - nearly double the prices of exact same grade brilliant cut diamonds.

Graff obviously likes to use pear cut and marquise cut diamonds. Their pear cut and marquise cut diamonds are cut extraordinarily well to eliminate dead zones.
