Best trucking job I ever had was 5 runs a week at $160 per run hauling molten sulfur. That was $800 for 55 hours a week, or $14.54 an hour. No bad money in 1996. But I had other jobs where I sat around 2-3 hours waiting for a load, and not getting paid.
