Great video Ben! In the early years I wanted to trade every day the market was open! Even those " quasi-holiday" days like today. Now I skip these days. I even skip days where I just don't like the price action after the first 2-3 hours. I know what I like and what I'm good at. I only have so much mental capital and focus. Why waste it on a market that isn't giving much if any opportunity? I've learned to hot it big on days I like and back off or skip days I don't like.

Calculate your required breakeven Winrate from your actual RR:
1-(R/(1+R))
R= total Profit / total Loss.
Calculate your required breakeven RR from your actual Winrate:
(1-W)/W
W= total Winning trades / total Losing trades
The winrate % are in the decimal format, for example 50% = 0.5
The RR are in the RR format, for example: 1 Risk to 2 Reward (2 : 1) means 2.

For example 36% winrate:
(1 - 0.36) / 0.36 = 1.78
This means if I have a 36% Winrate with a 1.78 to 1 RR I'm in the breakeven.

Many people don't realize that a strategy is simply a set of rules that an individual follows. It has absolutely nothing to do with the market whatsoever. The key to success is finding a set of rules you can follow consistently.
For instance, if you know you are impatient, think about it this way: decide to draw a downward trend line. If the price breaks the trend line, you go long. You could buy at the close of the candle, which prevents you from getting emotional. This action becomes a cue you are waiting for, acting as a strategy to overcome your own impulses.
Remember, the focus is on managing your own behavior. Tailor your strategy in a way that helps you overcome your weaknesses, and you will be successful.

Yep it takes time. We trade Hft...in this genre it is more about math and algo controlling the entry and exit conditions.
Ive found that using opposing account positions is the way to analyze the market. Basically are you losing...ya na...you are on the wrong side.

You really don't need to know THAT much to be a profitable day trader. Being profitable enough to pay your bills....definitely a different story. Not knocking your profession...I admire your success and I'm trying to get there myself. But doctors we ain't.

Yeah, cuz this knowledge is worth $$$. Google search candlestick patterns. Memorize them. Start there. Watch SPY, QQQ, and IWM relentlessly for a few years. Notice the way it moves day to day. Keep watching videos. Options Millionaire has alot of resources on his discord for free.
Any youtuber can give you a good strategy to learn from. You don't have to pay money. But one thing that would have sped up my journey was Journaling my trades do that and you will succeed
