*I think I talk about "...no battery.." in the video: This is NOT the case. The WH-1 can indeed be powered by a battery. Just remove the two screws at the rear back plate and insert the battery. My apologies, Sergey!
10 reasons why I love this wah...
1. It's small
2. It sounds great
3. It doesn't mess with Germanium fuzzes or anything else down the signal path
4. It's called 'Japanese Girl'
5. It has 3 selectable band frequencies
6. It has no volume knob so I'm not worried about unity
7. It is 9-12V DC powered - *or 9V battery!
8. It's easy to use
9. It will fit snuggly on my pedal board
10. It's built like a weapon and will be very hard to break
No, I'm afraid I do not know where you can purchase one. You will have to consult the website. I know there's one dealer in Japan, but that's all I know. Sorry!
Fantastic demo! Really nice sounds from not only the wah but all four pedals! :)
That was sweet dot con! Nice kicker to Slash!
Had to chuckle. Thanks Brett and Suds. We just got whipped hard with some nasty weather down here out of Hobart! Thanks for picking my mood up.
From the StoneBandit.
Nice demo as always pal - good sounds and a great size for crowded boards - like the new video layout as well - great job behind the camera Suds! Cheers S.P.
Great pedal demo Video Brett, Thanks
We really love Sadie! thanx for this usefull review y will consider this wah, great sound and small to fit in my small pedalboard!
Great demo as always. Now if only AMT could come out with a similar sized volume pedal, that would be awesome!
I really love what amt is making, great products at real world prices. Thanks again man on a great demo, youres are by far the best, God bless Burgs
amazing tone love itttt
Love this thing. So small and purple. Coolness.
I am smitten. The sweep is smoothe, and the tone of the sweep is nice too. Most other wahs make the guitar volume too loud, but this one sounds even with the original volume. I will have my eye on this one. Thumbs up!!!
I've been using this was for a little while now and my only complaint is the placement of the led on its side; it's sometimes difficult to see whether it is on or not. Otherwise, I love its size, the selectable band frequencies is quite useful and its reduced size doesn't make it awkward to use at all.
Good demo - thanks man.
Got one of these after watchin this, it really is great...Not only is it economically sized and priced (got mine for about £70). but it's versatile, doesn't suck tone and actually sounds really really nice, full and organic...Works so great with fuzz. Highly recommend if you can find a dealer!!!
First! Awesome sounding pedal, too. It's great to see something a bit different than just another wah pedal
they just did it!!!! AMT LLM1... these guys rock!!!
omg it sounds amaaazing!
first of all, great vid burgs! been watching a while and you've helped sway me into spending money several times :)
to everyone else, if you email amt usa, you can get on a pre-order list. they're going to soon be released stateside. now, with that information, go forth and wreak havoc!
Very good video. I also enjoyed your video about the made by mike dream box. Keep up the good work.
@Burgerman666 thanx, I needed it! I'm purchasing my japanese purple girl now!
Can't wait for Burgs to demo that one too!
I use one all the time, love it, doesn't give me any grief and you have to be more sensitive with foot :)
Perfect! Sound of a big brother but size as it SHOULD BE!
Wow! I'd like to A/B it to my Fulltone Clyde Deluxe!
outstanding, i can't wait :) how'd you come about naming it?
your demos are fantastic, and i've come to really trust them. they've made me spend money! thanks again, and my best to you and the family.
A new version for bass will be released in early November, I think.
Now available in Australia! Thanks Burgs, another Burgs-GAS purchase for me!
Got mine today!
What is the name of the pedal drive purple you used at the end of the video?
Thank you.
Even more the reason to buy it! You must sign mine!
@Peter Gunnebro I think it hasn't got a buffer inside, because:
1. Clicking sound when turning on/off (generally a true-bypass problem)
2. No issues with germanium fuzzes (they generally react horribly to ANY kind of buffer)
Tried it, loved the tone but my size 48 shoes (12 if you're a USAguy) didn't like the small footprint. I'm probably buying one to put in a fullsize enclosure
@Burgerman666 I am so excited!
I love this pedal, I even made 2 reviews of it on my channel. 😸
Also, it can be powered by battery.
Deep Purple! from a purple wah no less. you're the man Burgsy. great demo. cheers!
im not in Austrailia but why is it that every nickname ends up with "y" jonnY BarnsY bursY and a million others, why where does that noncleneture come from
Hi Brett! Good demo as always... thanks! Do you know anything about the new AMT Electronics CN-1 Cab simulator pedal? I'm dying to see a test of how it sounds.. it seems is coming out in these days i hope still longing to put my hands on it... it's a great tool you can use to terminate your pedal chain with configurable speaker emulation, plus headphone out and aux in... will you test it for me? :-) thanks very much
That's great...I'm looking to replace my old Morley Power Wah, and the Clyde Deluxe was the leading contender until I saw this...now, if it weren't for that popping switch...can it switch to buffered bypass?
Burgs, i got my little loudmouth yesterday - i may make a video for it tonight (though it won't be as professional as yours are!).
i only got to play it briefly last night, and maybe i'm wrong, but i think it boosts your signal just a hair...
actually they're pretty widely distributed in the USA. ebay has a number of them for rrp with free shipping.
So I've been looking at the AMT mini series to make up a small very portable pedal board. Does it feel very easy to control like a normal sized wah pedal?
Wow, great camera work Sadie - I was wondering if you were hiring a film crew since you're all famous now, then I saw the credit in the vid ;) Very professional.
-Jules
cheers mate
And now, with a bit more of perspective and experience: AMT WM-1 or Plutoneium Chi-Wah-Wah? I want any of both and I need an "authorized" opinion: pros and cons!!
Brett, once again and some other user already posted this question.
The golden overdrive !
What is it ?
And what are the other ones ?
thanks.
How would you say this measures up to the Chi Wah Wah? I've got one right now and I'm thinking this might be a better fit.
Hey Burgs! I'm going to buy my first wah soon. Would you reccomend this one, or do you have something better in mind in the same price range? cheers :)
wow, any comparison to the dunlop mini wah? it works well with gain? cuts through a mix without a volume boost?
thanks
Just minutes away from the Postman delivering mine. Woohoo!
I contacted AMT directly and they put me on a waiting list. Today, I got an email telling me it was ready and I just paid for it and expect it in a few days
Yep, this'll keep your treble intact no problem.
@tollchuck its the basic audio fuzz
Have you noticed any noise issues when on a Pedalboard with a Voodoo lab power supply underneath? I have a Joe Bonamassa wah, and its noisy as hell...wondering if this would have the same issue...
What is a vt-drive? Well, besides a distortion I mean. I've never heard of it but it sounds awesome! Can ya give more info please?
Great Demo! Can I buy this in the US?
if you open this thing up, there actually IS a 9v battery connector
I just got one for $80 and love it so far ♫
hey can you tell me where you bought this for $80? qas it new?
I hope amt comes up with a switchless version. :)
I want you to put on the market early even in Japan.
there is a similar small wah called the chiwahwah (lol) from Plutoneium. Ever heard of that, what would you think of comparison?
nice! thank you burger!!
Hey mate - just wondering if u can remember (i know this video was a while ago) if you were running the wah off a 9v or 12v power supply? Thanks.
What do you think of the short treadle? I tried an old George Dennis wah a while back and found the short treadle awkward. Sounded good, though.
Wait so will it work with my Catlinbread Merkin?
me too!
I just got one of these used and the on off push switch makes a annoying clicking sound when using the wah.
Does yours have a similar sound?
...bet those bumpers don't look so pristine now!
What is the gold cheese wedge looking pedal you are using? It looks cool.
I'd also like to know what are those two purple and redish pedals....
this idea of a smaller wah pedal is great but you still position it in the middle of your foot which means you are still taking up the same space on your board and your toe would be hitting other pedals. You could position your foot more on the toe but then it would feel unnatural right?
I think it would work in the back row of pedals or next to your power supply.
Anyone figured out where to buy this pedal?
@Burgerman666 Yeah! i was sure you had one in your hands!! :-) that's great, i got the sense of your comment and so.. please try it as soon as possibile! :-) . Have a nice trip on the road! by the way one of your last video with Sadie and your wife about the spider jumping on the barbecue was so funny! ahah laughed a lot.. regards
You know I saw this vid right about the time you posted.
I have been trying to obtain one of these pedals since and still no success.
Burgs, are you going to create a demo for the Little Loudmouth?
I wonder what pedal you think is better between the MXR MC404 and Japanese Girl Wha?
How much power in mA spends these singular Wha? please help me
Thumbs up for that music :D
Interesting, but, oh my got en himmel what is that gold fuzz box?
oh gotya thanks. if i would have only waited.
Does this company sell volume pedals as well? if so, where can I get my hands on one?
My Japanese Girl is on the way!!
But.......What brand/model is the purple colored overdrive pedal?
I can't seem to find how many amps this pedal takes from its power source. Does anyone know what the power consumption of this baby is? (how many miliAmps)
@riciy Check Burgs CZcams channel, he demo'd the Chiwah when it came out!
Would this work on bass?
actually for bass guitar there is the WH-1B
how do i buy one and how much is it? i cant find on the web site
Wow
is it true bypass??
where can i buy this? im in the US
How much does it costs
What do you think Andy or GMD would think of this?
very noisy reverb it seems
how does it compare to the wilson wah?
someone send me a link to buy this, I found the website, but I must be blind.
@badhandtim1 oh, woops..my bad...didn't notice ;)
If they send you the CN-1 Chameleon Cab, please demo that. I want to justify buying it along with the SE-1 for recording and avoid the cab emulation out of my Marshall JMP-1 which has its problems with some sounds.
I can't recommend this pedal. The construction is fantastic and I don't think anyone could ask for more. I'd expect it to last as long if not longer than a standard boss pedal. But I found the tones to be far to muddy. There was for only one useable tone, the rest were just far to muddy. Plus there was to much of a "peak" for me. Meaning that there was a severe change in the filters progression and it would quickly jump from low to high. But that's just my two cents.
It's probably the amp you are using or the settings. Also could be your guitar and or the guitar and how your settings for that particular guitar on your amp are set.
so chi wah wah or this?
They need to update their site, no sign of WH-1 there at all... :/
where in the name of god did you buy this and how much ?
Oh MAAAAAN! Do they make a volume pedal of the same size? If not... WHY NOT?!
Nope, but controlling that sweep does take a moment to get used to given the different interface. A small price to pay (no pun intended!) Cheers, B. :)
is it akward to use with it being smaller then a normal wah?
I agree. Too bad cuz I think it sounds good other than that.
