To be fair, I can understand people using an AI voice. I know it is not appealing, but I for example would not be comfortable using my own voice to narrate. I stutter too much. Especially when I know that me speaking is the center of attention. So if I were to say do something like this, I would use an AI voice too.
Now, if the writing is done by an AI... that is just lazy. To that we can agree.
@@christopherpoet458 I get that but i still prefer an actual person to narrate. I've seen so many stories that look good and would be good but the AI voice ruins it for me. If I had a speech issue I'd just not do story readings on a social media site. I mean I don't know how to do brain surgery so i don't lol same basic concept I think.
I can over look a well done synth voice... but when I see a channel with 40 subscribers getting 10k views for poorly strung together words, with-in 4 hours of uploading..... Yeah... that bugs me. Why put in any effort at all when you make make the AI watch the video for you? This is why I like starbound too. He puts in REAL effort.
@@christopherpoet458I used to have a severe stuttering problem! Please realize I do not say this to be cruel, or sarcastic. But until you make up your mind to over come that problem, and seek help it will never be solved. One thing is that hearing your own voice is actually part of your problem. Headphones that blocked my voice so I was not distracted allowed me to speak clearly almost instantly. Take the time to get proper therapy, understand you are worth the work it takes to overcome.
Pretty good story, but one gripe. After our ‘protagonist’ crashed, the chase with the drone didn’t seem to connect with the rest of the story.

I do enjoy these stories but they sound so similar that I end up getting some of them mixed up! It's not that big of a problem because I'm a sci-fi geek/enthusiastic fan!
I thought the story started out in orbit around Earth, but about 2/3 of the way through it said that Zareth arrived at Earth for the first time. So... did the first 2/3 of the story take place around and on a decoy planet? A habitable third planet of abother yellow star?
Yeah that’s what I gathered too. A false Earth to show a faux reality of the human situation. Absolutely brilliant idea and seemed to be executed perfectly.

Well it'd probably be smarter to target strategic locations like Saudi Arabia. I mean, the 2021 Suez Canal obstruction alone had a substantial effect on the economy, and it was blocked for less than a week. Imagine if all the major trade routes went down at once and didn't come back for months or years.

Often I merely listen to stories while going about my day. The occasional time I might view the progress and follow along with theCC (Close Caption) mostly to make sure I hear the text correctly. As most of what is spoken on this channel at least isn't pocked full of AI pronunciation errors that make the experience that much more enjoyable to partake of. If I must have a gripe, which I really don't need to. Is that the video generated CC' doesn't need to be part of the video. If I want to have CC' I can turn it on if I like (which I actually do almost always turn on) It's just that the default CC used by the channel blocks a major portion of the background that I would really like to see the entire picture. When I turn on CC I change the font color to YELLOW, MAGENTA or CYAN (in that order) Size between 100-200% Background Opacity to 50-75% all depending on how things look to me. Normally I let the channel use their own default settings as well because it gives a feel for how the channels wants to make the channel fEeL. I'm okay with that. Feelings are legitimate, but I have ultimate control if I so desire. Thanks for your content.

Well excellent story but will be your food or conquered without question based on technology. But it technically would be long and bloody on both sides. That's the one thing that would actually probably pull us together as a people as a species as individual people we are now and countries.

Decent story, but I have a criticism.
The wording can get repetitive. Not always avoidable, I know, but a 22 minute script is not as long as spacing it out over chapters of a novel. So it is easier to hear and take notice of when the distance between instances is shorter. In this case it was noticeable. I would also pay a bit more attention to how things are described because as fancy as it might sound, it does not always hit the right note. Sometimes, less is more.
