Wow .. I saw Lou Wong in your video . Back in the 90s I used to go there and order extra large tougeh and a chicken .. hahaha just for myself . Love the temples as well thank you CK . It's a blast from the past . I'm very happy seeing my home town through your eyes and taste .

You certainly covered some outstanding places here . I have just returned from Ipoh and generally find you can't go wrong when eating there . Sadly , I must tell you that we were ripped off by the bloke running the stall at the front of Yee Lok restaurant ( jalan raja musa aziz ) one night . You still need to have your wits about you ! Great city , one or two bad apples .

What ashow: you are already moaning, when the food, but not the taste just arrive in your mouth! So authentic, so realistic, wow!

I just went to Sun Tuck Kee and they are swatting flies. Ipoh Tuck Kee two doors down on the other hand is about 70% full at 4pm. Logic tells me go to the busy one. Both of them sell similar stuff. Certainly I want to try the Yu Kong Hor. Ipoh Tuck Kee has four outlets. Sun Tuck Kee is not one of them and not related. Cashier at Ipoh Tuck Kee told me a staff broke away and opened Sun Tuck Kee. Whatever the reason they can’t work together and broke apart opening next door, I can’t judge, but I’ll go to the original and busier place.

@@rose4252 The traditional, original and authentic dim sum is serve with pork. Those halal one is just to cater for muslim eater only, and it is way out from the traditional, original and authentic.

seeing Cheong Kee’s son taking the helm and having headful of white hair is so melancholy. he used to sit by the side wrapping wan ton while his dad cooks the noodles. that was his only job besides the occasional pouring of cold water to the pot and he did that for years.
he takes a swipe of minced meat onto the wrap and uses one hand to twist beautifully to the finished product. a real sinsei
