Celts lost fair and square. The physicality and the fouls not called during that first half was insane. Real reason Celts lost is because: Ray Allen missed consecutive WIDE open threes and some open curl jumpers AND the Celts begin losing the battle on rebounds near the fourth and in it. Sheed was a loss, but let's not act like he wasnt continually slapping willy on them rebounds😂

its sports "entertainment" now. If Sheed played for the Lakers he'd been getting 8+ FTs a night guaranteed. The refs are just there to keep things close and interesting so that the TV revenue continues pouring in. During the Stern era large market teams were guaranteed to get favorable calls because that is what grew the league. Now with Silver era we have seen smaller market teams win in the last 3/5 years(Toronto, Milwaukee, Denver). My naive hope is that Silver will continue this trend of letting the league run its course every other year if it means the league continues growing like it has been.

A percentage of those fines should go to community development in those home cities where the fines are committed. The other percentage should go to retirement for those players. Not sure if this is the structure, but in my opinion makes the most sense. DEEEEEEEETROIT BAAAAAAASKET BAAAAAALLL!!👊🏽💯

🤔RASHEED was an absolute killer and appeared more athletic than TimDuncan. HowEVER dude just wouldn't stop with the refs regardless of the call. He also shot a lot of straight shots as opposed to being in the post and driving to the basket to draw fouls. Jump shots just don't draw that many fouls when you're a big man. KG was a big man but was so skinny it looked different and Duncan would get low and draw defenders obviously to him or Parker would give him the ball so low that other players had to OBVIOUSLY FOUL HIM. None of this takes away from the FACT the refs DO CHEAT, but just throwing context that I watched Sheed and I loved his game, but dude shot a lot of jump shots and sometimes would argue when I couldn't see his reason.

I mean it goes for football too. When the offense is getting to hot they call a holding call, when the offense can’t get anything going they call PI. Now they’re incorporating these personal fouls on regular sacks. It’s all bs but we still tune in cause it’s entertaining

That Det Vs SA series really put the NBA in a pickle. Those refs didn’t know how to call that series. Both teams were great defense teams, but damn… watch Manu get every floppy uncontrolled drive to the paint call still bothers me. That was the series that ruined the NBA. After that the front office was like never again are we seeing defense. S/
