    This video will show how to remove and replace the bumper, to access and remove the headlight housing on an Audi A6 between the years 2005-2011. Dude, you saved my bacon! I’ve got a fun little project I’m doing with a salvage title that needs a little bit of work. You’re saving me a ton of money! Excellent video! Thank you thank you.

    Great vid. I’m giving it a go rn. Perhaps including the socket size for the bolt removal would make the vid even more informative but, that’s just being a princess and losing half the fun of finding it out for yourself😆.
    GREAT Vid. Thanks man👍🏽

    Excellent video - I have an intermittent fault with one of my bulbs so need to clean the connector / inspect the wiring and this looked like it was going to be a complete ball-ache before I watched this video - thanks! Very good presentation.

    very informative, but please, for the love of god, using a metal screwdriver to pry the bumper away against the paint? Hurts my soul to see x)

    3:40 don't use screwdriver or any metal tool because you'll damage paint on edge, should use flat plastic trim removal tool

      Pull bumper skirt forward and those side skirt clips open and you can drop bumper off. No need for tools.

    Should you also disconnect the negative battery terminal before disconnecting the headlights?

    The alignment of that headlight is now fucked uppp 😂 you can see that with all the gaps

    • @CarCareKiosk
      @CarCareKiosk  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you for your feedback - it appears that the "gaps" you are referring to is actually a shadow cast through the top of the housing where the plastic bends in the corner. We show positioning the housing centered in all of the bolt holes from the factory and the housing is aligned as per spec

    Wow! Very nicely done and great video! I have a 2010 A6, and just the Xenon bulb went out. The rest of the lights in the headlight unit are all working, except for the Xenon headlight bulb. I finally got an error in the car for it, but even that hasn't come back on again. Is it cheaper and worth it to replace just the Xenon bulb?

    • @CarCareKiosk
      @CarCareKiosk  Před 4 lety

      Yup - just grab a pair of new xenon bulbs (so they are the same color temperature, brightness, etc.) from our partner Sylvania here: www.sylvania-automotive.com/apps/vlrg-us/Vlrg/?CarCareKiosk

    Great guide and walkthrough but the remove the bolt by turning it counter clockwise was quite redundant. SMDH if you don’t know ‘lefty loosey, righty tighty’ you have no business even touching any tool

    I have a very unusual query, an insect somehow managed to get inside of my RH light housing, any one know how this could have happened or how to solve?

  • @Christopher28fair
    @Christopher28fair Před 3 lety +1

    I'm PRETTY sure everyone knows you turn a bolt counterclockwise to remove it.

      absolutely do not have to do all this to replace halogen bulbs. its a tight fit but can be done by reaching around to the back from the engine compartment.

      No just move the reservoir and air filter out of the way and you can change them easily in less time than this. This is like if you damage your lights or If you want a new bumper installed

    Very bad tutorial. You've destroyed the paint and maybe the bumper on the lateral brackets...
