May I ask, have DSP always been a part of RBW or they just acquired it recently? :)
@@sheikfrancia8912 Acquired it about last year or so - as soon as you saw Jiwoo on Good Girl and Somin and BM doing modelling stuff... that's where you can tell that it happened. DSP had been tanking for a while but RBW has a better handle on how to promote unconventional groups and now KARD is going to shows, getting interviews and such. It's really nice to see.
@@aislin2989 I don't know if RBW had a lot to do with it, considering DSP still operates as an independent entity and their entire management structure is still in place. I mean, I imagine they get more resources at their disposal (considering DSP tanked and was probably low on funds), but that's about it.
@@HolyConspiracyTheory pretty much it's all down to money - everything is still in place at DSP, but the top of DSP isn't where things stop, it goes back over to RBW.
Also DSP has been known for ages for their terrible promotions of their artists (Rainbow and April notably, which is absolutely insane when you realize that Sechs Kies started out in DSP, they should have been *rolling* in dough... but they basically broke Jekki right before they hit the absolute peak of their careers so yeah... DSP has always had terrible management skills) but RBW is far better at their knowledge of how to promote unconventional groups (literally Purple Kiss is their most 'conventional' kind of group and even then, PK isn't all that conventional) and this media promotion is showing that experience. I'm thinking that RBW is yanking more than a few of the strings at DSP bc they do control the money and the difference is very clear to me from when DSP was doing things vs when RBW acquired them.

Probably because DSP tanked and it got shoved to the wayside in the switch to RBW. RBW also probably wants Kard to be known more as a group first before doing duos or lots of solo stuff
@@aislin2989 @MadangChild no, it all got scrapped bc of the april scandal (which was later proven to be malicious accusations). by the time the dust settled on that, it was already time to start preparing a comeback and tour so there was no time. dsp has its issues but also try to spread correct info!
@@curiositykilledthekat I mean that is why I said "probably" - was going with most obvious thing (finances) to me bc honestly the whole April thing was merely a blip. Or at least that's what I thought it was.
Also I always assume terrible management and finances being a root cause with DSP groups just from their history.
@@aislin2989 i just felt like it needed to be specified bc the scandal was the /direct/ cause for it all, and it was not a "blip" bc the bullying allegations have been wild for the past two years and knets care a LOT for them. six months in an industry where you're supposed to have two comebacks in that timespan is far from a blip. the situation beforehand was far from dsp's glory days, but they would have debuted at least the duo if not them individually during the hiatus. shit happens.

I'm explaining what my thought process was with my first comment in my comments back to you. I'm not refuting your argument, I'm accepting it and explaining as to why I made an incorrect assumption in the first place. I'm actually very aware about all of the bullying allegations and how much knetz go bonkers on them. I was also saying that the whole bullying scandal thing was a blip on *my* radar (aka I saw something went jfc this shit again and never saw anything else about it so thought it was resolved) not that it wasn't there for everyone else.

good love was actually the song they were preparing with for the duo and breakdown was the song jiwoo was working on for her solo but dsp gave them to the group in the end

Despite being the first artist/group to be invited on the show, it looks really professional and well-thought out. The structure of the show, putting up relevant references when a topic is being discussed (pictures, clips, etc.), the interviewer, the questions, the overall vibe. I love that every time a member speaks, the camera focuses on the person and the name pops up too.
It's great that we got to know more about what they did during their 2-year gap. I had a feeling back then that a Somin-Jiwoo duo was in plans, but sad that it didn't happen. Thank you KARD for holding on, it must've been a rough 2 years. Thank you, HANBAM for having KARD and making them feel very comfortable.

The thing is that in Latin America, most of our groups (since the 80's and 90's) have been mixed gender. There was Timbiriche in the 80's, OV7 in the 90's and early 2000's, and RBD In the mid 2000's. KARD as a concept is familiar to us, but also new because of the Kpop aspect to them. I think, primarily, this is why they are so attractive to Latin American fans

this is why coed groups are so special. they can incorporate both masculine and feminine moves into the choreo, there's a lot of potential with adlibs and harmonies, and it proves that men and women can be close friends. this group has more of a familial vibe than any bg or gg i've seen. all of the members have such strong synergy, both on and off stage!

Actually, Enemy single by Somin and Jiwoo duo 💕 was definitely a masterpiece. It deserved a lot more reactions and success, despite this, it had quite nice reactions. I can't understand why dsp canceled our girls' debut as a duo, it could have been perfect. Look how sad Somin looks, they were born to be singers, no one shouldn't keep people who have a passion for it away from their music. 💕✨
I hope that after this comeback, we can see the Jeon girls' incredible songs and excellent stage performances more. ✨
