I meant to say "Illumination" not "Universal" when i was talking about the Mario Movie :3 BUT ANYWAY, YOOO A ZELDA MOVIE?!
This is HYPE!!!
Yeeeeee!!! I’m so excited
I think the thing with the Mario movie is it had to follow a guideline because there is 1 Mario story. With Zelda, Barring a few exceptions, every Link is a different Link. So unless something is announced by Nintendo, throw away all and any preconceived notion that this will retread a videogame story.
it makes sense as Universal owns them
I really hope it is animated but oh well and, they better make link have the least line in the movie better not talk at all cause talktive link is weird
I think an original story would be fun. And unknown actors for Zelda and Link, but more known actors for supporting roles.
yes super agree with unknown actors for link & zelda and then known actors for supports - im hoping they go with a dark fantasy adventure (labyrinth/mirrormask/pan's labyrinth/dark crystal) but I wont keep my hopes too high on that xD
The original story is a bit complicated with the whole lesser Hyrule stuff.. maybe oot. I hope oot
Yes! I get ppl wanting celebs but new faces could be so exciting!!
This with no excuuuuuuse me princess stuff that I watched as a kid 😂
Get a good cosplayer for our main characters, I've seen some insane lookalikes to Link there
I think the biggest challenge would be the tone like you said.
Until now the biggest problem with a zelda movie in the last decade was that by this point different zelda games had WILDLY different vibes.
A wind waker movie, and a majora's mask movie would feel completely different.
I think the best for them would be to go for the general tone of something like oot, where from the side it looks light hearted (and sometimes it is) but it has its fair share of dark disturbing momemts.
I just think that they need to do their own style and story. So that it can't be compared. Imitate Skyward Sword? We would then criticise whenever the art does come up short. The story is about an hero saving the princess from a big evil. A linear story (hero wakes up, town is attacked, hero is sent on quest to find a power or artifact, then rescue the princess and seal away the devil) would work, don't deviate too much from the formule. Ofcourse, the Hyrule map would be the same with loose variations here and there. But what works in their favor is that they have loads of story to draw inspiration from and if they listen closely to the fans what really works and what doesn't, then they might have a good movie. But a big blockbuster like Mario? Nope, Zelda is too obscure for that. Even Pikachu which is bigger than Zelda famous wise, managed to pull just close to 400m. I can see a 300m on a good day..
yeah, a wind waker movie might fall under the same vibes as the mario movie which I hope they don't do. Because they'd be really underselling the series as a whole if it only became a fun fan service movie. There's too much lore in Zelda games to not use unlike Mario.
I think Link should start as a lazy brat, followed by eventually taking responsibility and living up to the Legend of the stories. (More like he doesn't want to be a hero, but looks around and see no one is coming...and understands what must be done.)
OoT would be the smart direction, similar to the old IGN April Fools prank.
Majora's Mask live action would be a dream but it won't happen unfortunately. It's probably going to be loosely based on Ocarina of Time, Breath of the Wild, or a mix of a couple of them.
This is SUCH a difficult movie to make compared to the animated Mario… looooooots of possible pitfalls… can’t say I have high hopes but I sure hope for the best!
It's gonna be weird for sure. Silent Link? Talking Link? I don't know which is worse
@@stonaraptor8196 could be quiet link, ala Ryan gosling in drive
As long as nintendo is keeping a strictly confidential watch and believes that Sony will not do anything weird, to the characters the movie will most likely be fine
Nintendo is gonna supervise the film along the way until it’s perfect, They are very protective, I’m confident they will deliver.
@tinkerbelle686A stoic Link is probably the best and safest bet.
Personally, I hope they go for realistic fantasy feel. Something like Lord of the Rings in the Zelda universe would be pretty cool.
That's exactly what I was thinking
Same
Something like twilight princess
If they took inspiration from Princess Mononoke or Howl's Moving Castle, the movie could really create its own identity. If they choose to use fantastical elements in the world with a down-to-earth story, the movie could be everything we want it to be and so much more.
I wish it were an anime film but it's apparently live action...
@@Resonance1919I know it sounds bad but if the cast a good kid to play link and the atmosphere is amazing it could be good.
I don't see that movie to be any good .
Smfh I'm so over the ghibli zelda movie narrative. It's not gonna happen and unfortunately Nintendo is too money hungry to secure the perfect set up for that kind of production. Plus they shouldn't take inspiration from anything except Zelda lore.
Or Lord of the Rings which inspired the whole Zelda series
While I am a bit disappointed that we aren't getting a Ghibili Zelda movie, here is what I wanted to see in a live action verion:
-History of Hyrule, the Goddess Hylia, Demon King Demise and the Triforce
- Ganondorf as the main baddy with some more in depth into his character
- Link x Princess Zelda's relationship.
- Cast anyone that isn’t Tom Holland for Link.
- Link’s inner struggle between being a Hero of Hyrule and his own happiness.
- An original story ( not a copy of OT, BOTW or TOTK) that is well structured with it's own set of characters, a new version of Hyrule, and a epic action- fantasy with a dash of gritty realism that is build by confident writers.
So many people assume it's just gonna be based on a single game, but it's probably gonna take inspiration from all of them
Bro you have a lot of expectations at least half of them will be ignored and people are gonna love it. It's how people are
@@crow_g1639 Yeah but these are concepts and suggestions i am putting in. But my main concern is the relationship between Link and Zelda. i pray it doesn't turned platonic. I want their relationship be as well established as don in both Skyward Sword and BOTW/TOTK. Whether fans like it or not... their love and sacrifices for each other is what put this pair a special place in my heart.
@@keviaaar As long as the movie is not a copy of all the previous Zelda games, then I'm ok with it.
A Ghibili one would be so fire😩
After the success of the Mario movie, I was sure the Zelda movie was going to be animated and distributed by Universal so Miyamoto’s tweet completou caught me by surprise. Nintendo is always taking big risks and it seems like the Zelda live action movie might just be their biggest risk yetX
This isn't risky at all. This is as safe as Nintendo can actually get.
@@alexs29 Not at all. Being safe would mean making another animated movie with the same company that Nintendo had previously worked with, going to a different studio and doing a movie in a different media (live-action instead of animation) is a big risk.
Yeah the fact that it's live action worries me, I feel like no matter who the actor for Link is it'll just look strange and wrong.
live action? NOOOOOOO why can't we get a Studio Ghibli film 😭
Studio Ghibli would never make a film for another IP they do their own original ideas I mean I wasn't expecting it to be live action but if you really thought studio Ghibli was going to be involved you got to be smoking crack
@@The_MEMEphis Howls moving castle was a book and they did a star wars short film and yes i'm on crack
@@jessefellers It was loosely based off a book very very loosely it's like comparing how to train your dragon the movie to the book they're nothing alike barely recognizable of each other and the Star wars thing was like a 10 minute short and it was for a visions so they were able to do basically whatever they wanted didn't have to attach it to the main Star wars lore so if they did a Zelda movie it would be about one of the crabs going on at adventure by itself in a place that's not even hyrule probably
@@The_MEMEphisplease! god, I would prefer a ghibli Zelda crab sidequest movie. This is absolutely devastating news 😢
@@Nobddy Nintendo is very protective of their IPs I mean they got illumination to make the Mario movie God damn illumination probably the worst animation studio on the planet and they still made a pretty solid movie out of it so I don't think they're going to screw this up Sony definitely has a mixed bag when it comes to their recent comic book movies but outside of that they're not a bad studio to choose I think a live action Zelda movie will allow them to make it a lot more mature which I think is something that's good for Zelda
This is brave, Zelda has such a unique personality withing the fantasy genre and would be so easy to mess up. They need heavy involvement from Aonuma and Miyamoto on this.
Link has always cannonically talked. Look at how the other characters respond to him in the games. It's obvious that he does talk back and forth with them. The game just doesn't show you because it lets you fill it in with your own imagination. This is a videogame-only feature. In every other media where Link has appeared, (comics, cartoons, Japanese audio drama and even the Zelda 2 instruction manual), he has always talked. Of course he will talk in the movie. It would be awful if he didn't.
I really don't get why so many people think he doesn't talk. It's ridiculous.
Because barely anyone who plays the game reads the external media. Last time I checked, most people who like Zelda like it because of the gameplay and don't care much about the lore.
Anyways, unrelated rant time. Personally, I actually hate the Hyrule Historia. I think some Zelda fans need to stop treating the series as if it SHOULD have a definitive timeline, when in reality Nintendo doesn't even think about timelines during development and just worries about it later. Every Zelda should be treated like a new and separate story (minus direct sequels like MM and TOTK). The official timeline is so convoluted and nonsensical precisely because Zelda was never meant to be a multi-part interconnected story. Same with Kingdom Hearts. Compare that to the Trails/Kiseki games, which WERE planned to be an interconnected story from the start and are still ongoing, which has a VERY clear timeline.
So TLDR, if you really want an interconnected game series, stop expecting Zelda to be it, play Trails games instead lol.
@@McCaroni_Sup
I agree with your additional point!
"I really don't get why so many people think he doesn't talk. It's ridiculous."
Because new fan only played botw and totk, and inside they said link decided to not speak.
@@Goudlock ugh, really? I haven't played a Zelda game since Skyward Sword, so I don't really know what they're doing with the new stuff.
@@toxicmanbaby1069 i played all the zelda game, but i really really don't like the new formula they use in BOTW and TOTK.. I can't even say their my "least favorite", i can only say that i hate them.
If you haven't played a Zelda game since Skyward sword, i really recommand between world, and the remake of link awakening haha
Remaining neutral for now until I see the cast. The difficult thing about making a Zelda movie is there are so many iterations of design and narrative. Which game will they adapt?
Whereas Mario is pretty singular in its design and it worked very well as a movie.
Super Nintendo version
I suggest neither game and make their own story. That way no comparison can be drawn, just only inspiration.
Starring Chris Pratt as Link and Jack Black as Princess Zelda!
@@c.nelson3148 So hyped 😬 🔥🔥🔥
Love Wood's genuine excitement about this !! So good.
yeah man
Wood is the biggest Zelda fanboy. I wouldn't expect any less.
I'm also wondering what story they will make. Will it be based on a video game? Which timeline will they use? Or is it going to be a brand new adventure for Link? Overall I'm excited to see it once it come out because it's Zelda
Probably like the Mario movie just be based on all of them combined
Honestly the fact its zelda means they can literally do anything they want
Either something original or ocarina. That's my guess
I think it'll start somewhat with his origin and than branch off into something like ocarina of time or its own story?
Based on the hit CGI games lol
Ok so there has to be 5 things that have to be in this movie no matter what being Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, the master sword, and the triforce
The storyline potential is a good point... I just hope there will be a bunch of Easter eggs throughout, like a mirror on the wall being the mirror of Twilight, if Ocarina isn't featured then maybe it's being played by someone walking by, Loftwings flying by (but hopefully fully featured) a lot of possibilities here
A live action Zelda is an interesting take by Nintendo. Hope it's a good movie
Nintendo needs sony 🙏🏽 thank you
Producers actually are hands on. They basically direct the director. There are some who are money people, but the main ones creatively impact it a lot
if they are just a money provider then they are executive producers.
Bullshit. It can mean everything or nothing at all. Arad and miyamoto will be hands on the whole time.
no bad words pls
@@Mirage475
They don’t “direct the director”. A real director doesn’t let that happen and producers understand that. The movie is the screenwriter and directors vision on screen.
@@DoctorRevers that depends enirely on that being wyat the producers want or not.
Productionsnonly happen and get off of the ground because of the producers. That what their credit means. Sometimes a director is themself a producer because they want to make and direct a specific thing.
But a lot of the time a producer or a group of producers are just business people who want to churn out some crap. So they oay a director who will juat do what they say and writers who will do what they say. And make the product the producers want.
Just look at new star trek. Secret hideout/alex kurtzman. Every episode of star trek discover has over 20 producer credits. And most episodes are guest directors. Broght in to direct one or two eoisodes that have been written already, by people who are employed wroters of secret hideout. Not by a writer who has a vision for a story they want to tell. Just someone hired to write for a company. Often with story writers above them who decide what the story of each episode is. Then heir jobs is just to write the dialogue and the specifics. And even then theres executive story editors above them who can change what they write to andd things and to make the story consistent between episodes over a season.
Theres a lot of productions were everyone is just a person hited to be a yes man and do what they are told by the people wih ultimate control, the producers.
I'm so excited for a live action. I always hoped to see a Zelda movie like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.
Anyone keen or on the fence for this should read the Manga for the games, I’m reading the twilight princess one atm and it is soooo amazing! Adds so much depth and a better idea of that link and makes Midna such a better character. Can’t recommend enough!
Manga is not comparable to live action films....Link still has no voice in the manga, your voice is his voice. Will be hard to deal with him not talking for the entire movie.
YAY!! I’m so excited, but honestly pretty nervous😂 I hope that it doesn’t take too long to get more information to us. I really hope they keep some of the light-heartedness
I wonder if they will make it as long as the lord of the rings movies
That would be awesome, and it makes sense
I'm hoping like star wars
instead of collaborating with Sony.... Nintendo should collaborate with new line cinema, Peter Jackson, and weta digital. make zelda a grand epic on the scale of LOTR. 👍
lol... and have vigo Mortensen (aragorn) be Link 😂
I hope
I really hope they cast new actors for Zelda and Link. It will be a lot easier to see them as their characters instead of seeing the actor playing the characters. Especially since this will have to be one of the first/few times Link ever talks (you have to have your main character speak).
your the best youtuber ive ever watched man so genuine and a overall actually a great dude! keep it up bro and keep inspiring!
I think it should feel like a classic lighthearted Nintendo story but should know when to get dark
Chris Pratt as Link, “it’s a me Link”
With Avi Arad (pronounced; ah vee ah-rahd) involved, I'm extremely hesitant with the movie. Everything with his name isn't always terrible but... Just watch Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man 2 as prime examples of where his hands were on the projects, he always makes things too extremely packed with story getting too convoluted.
I'm somewhat glad about 2 things. Wes Ball as director. I watched Maze Runner Trilogy. Kingdom Of Planet Of The Apes just released. It definitely looks like he can bring the Legend Of Zelda feel to live action very well. Also to hear that Nintendo and Miyamoto will be heavily involved in the project.
I'm sure Arad is the reason this movie will be live action. Watch it take place in the modern world, too.
It's also written by the guy that did the Jurassic World trilogy.
2:30 you're thinking of Executive Prooducer ("just throws money"). a Producer does have a heavy influence on the creative aspect, especially in early development, while the Director's job is to execute the Producer's vision
This is so awesome! Can't wait for Wood to play Tingle!
I really hope this movie is beautiful. My expectation is gorgeous cinematography
Please hire Emmanuel Lubezki for this film
I think it is safe to assume that this will be an origin film.
I can not imagine anyone who has been playing the series of games since the binging in the 80’s hearing about this, and thinking positive thoughts…
I am speaking as one of those individuals, so yeah, the idea of live action just to start with already makes me want to curl up in a ball and try not to think scary thoughts.
I’m n all honestly this should be an animated feature simply and purely out of love for the fantasy aspects of this beloved franchise.
There is just so much potential for missed opportunities to execute profound story and character concepts and accuracy.
I don’t need to say much other than the first Sonic movie almost wasn’t good and the biggest problems it faced were due to it being live action.
I can’t say much more, I am just going to cross my fingers, check my expectations at the door, and hope for the best.
You bring up a lot of valid points, about who is going to play link and Zelda, personally I think the best would be to have not-famous actors play them, so that it feels fresh in the sense that they don’t carry previous movies personas into them (for example imagine Nicolas cage playing link or Ganon). Also, I worry about what you said about what personality link is going to have, I just hope they don’t try to make him “funny”. Curious to hear your thoughts!
Regardless of what the trailers look like or who they cast I will be in the theater seeing it for myself. I love the series too much to not give it a chance
What if link is dwayne johnson or tom holland
@@stefanieslater8950 I'll still go see it
I love the series too much to EVER give it a chance lol
Yep, me too.
@@stefanieslater8950Triple H should play GANONDORF, that would be a perfect fit.
The serious question is are we going "Twilight Princess" route or are we going "Windwaker"? Cause that's about the 2 extremes we got here.
I would imagine in the middle. I would hope for something leaning a little more serious but still fun. But who can say 🤷
Oh, I see what you mean now! If I were lost and my phone stopped working, it would definitely be a challenge. In that situation, I would try to find a nearby public place, like a store or café, where I could ask for help. They might have a phone I could use to contact someone or even provide directions. If that's not an option, I would look for any landmarks or signs that could help me navigate my way back. It's always a good idea to be prepared and have a backup plan, like carrying a physical map or knowing some basic navigation skills. Stay safe out there!
I hope they choose relatively unknown actors for link & zelda, that they go with one of the older game's stories rather than breath of the wild / totk & that there;s at least some darker parts / creepy or scary scenes in the movie or even some weird scenes like the singing frogs or prince with holes everywhere in his garden from link's awakening. Would be awesome if they could blend some of the older game's stories & characters! My hope is that it'll have Mirrormask / Labyrinth / Pan's Labyrinth / Dark crystal kinda vibes? basically dark fantasy adventure? I love & miss those kinds of movies, maybe I'm thinking more abt Majora;s mask than some of the more lighthearted games though
Mario Has Been dethroned...
I wonder if the movie will fit somewhere in the timelines, or if it will be its own new thing.
The timeline was kinda destroyed by TOTK but in sure ppl will try to slide the movie in😂
The amount of insane clips they could make with take for example bullet time and fury rushes since that slows time it would look awesome sort of like a slowmo anime moment
Wes Ball was my favorite director in 2014 and was a huge inspiration for me to start my career in film.
To finally have a movie by him again be ZELDA is incredible
My thoughts/first impressions are that this didn’t need to exist. It should’ve been animated like Mario was, would be much easier and better to adapt that way in a good way, but we’ll see, I’ll keep an open mind for now till we get a trailer or smthn. And my thoughts on what story their gonna go with is none, hopefully they do what the Mario movie did and make it it’s own story but loaded with Easter eggs and nods to all of the past Zelda projects.
I think the spiderverse team could have made it look amazing. The choice to make it live action is so confusing to me. I think even if they did everything perfectly with perfect sets and perfect cgi it would be missing a lot of the zelda charm.
Zelda stories are also really drawn out because it focuses so much on world building. I think to fit that into movie length the stories either going to be very rushed or just be basic standard fantasy story and ignore so much of what makes Zelda great.
I hope the movies good, but I'm incredibly skeptical
Avi Arad has been part of some incredible projects but also is known for forcing characters and situations into movies to sell toys even if they don’t quite fit… he was OBSESSED with Venom and forced him into Spider-Man 3 which is why it got so busy. Let’s see how this plays out. 🤔
@BeatEmUps
Hey wood caught you guys talking about this on the nontendo podcast and was wondering what's thoughts in the direction of the old final fantasy seven movie?
you guys didn't seem to bring that one up for game movies there or here
im so scared about this, i hope they dont mess it up, being animated they could made it look more like the games but with live action oh boy who do you cast?! what game will it be based on? and isnt ocarina of time hitting its 25th anniversary? what if they annouced the casting same time as a remake of ocarina of time? that be mind blowing
I was so confident we’d get a Zelda movie, so I’m really glad they announced it.
I'm thinking that maybe they're trying to go for a Twilight Princess vibe or kind of story since that was the most similar to live action.
Orcarina of Time with The Rock as Link and Vin Diesel voicing Navi
The maze runner movies were really good so my hopes are high for the direction this movie will be going in.
Such fantastic books
That was literally the first question I asked was will Link speak? how will they make that work in a movie with other characters that do speak and have lines? they can get away with it in the games but a live action movie is a different story. Is live action Link just going to stare at other characters and nod or make some noise like in the games? these are the questions I have.
Or I Mean He Could Talk Cuz In The Manga Stories He Does Talk in Oot And Everything
Link talks but in-game he doesn't have a voice or talks that much because Nintendo wants "us" the players to feel like we are voicing Link for immersion's sake. You forgot he explains things to people or ask them questions?
I have the same feeling as you. I think this is the most desired film of my entire life, and I’m excited and terrified. I know I’m going to cry at the cinema, and I hope it’s in a good way 💚
i hope its happy and fun its some part but also serious and griddy in parts and that link talks throughout the movie and at the end link takes a vow to always be there for zelda and take a vow of silence as well idk I'm just making up things but that would be cool but cant wait for it
Oh. No. Im. Scared. Im so scared that this will turn bad
I’m scared for the creation of this movie…I really hope it’s a good movie- for the sake of my childhood
Same, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3DS version is one of my favorite childhood game
Thanks for the information have a awsome day wood
It would be great if link was somehow cursed at the beginning, and the movie quest has a side effect of getting his voice back. With the final scene having his voice back and going to say something, and as soon as link goes to talk the film ends with a sudden fade to black.
Just casually announced lol and Sony Pictures is distributing the movie? What a crazy timeline
Sony picture has been doing this longer
Nintendo needs help
Not that crazy
So hyped for this
'Well excuuuuuse me princess' needs to be included
I hope that since it’s going to be live action we get a hybrid of CGI characters and live action backgrounds like what was used in the incredible Terrible Fate video!
I wish it was a different style of film than live action but we r one step closer to a Metroid movie. I saw Mario 3 times, I'll see Zelda 4❤
I heard brie larson wants to play samus in a metroid movie and i can totally see her as samus
I am super nervious it’s live action, I feel Zelda is about the art style which I think will be lost. I’m always nervous it won’t be taken seriously enough for what it could be…
Sony is a good choice though out of other live action options.
If I was making this film, I'd give it the Peter Jackson Lord of The Rings treatment. Huge scale, intimate heart and themes, incredible score, real practical effects as much as possible, miniatures, great actors, and a great script. As far as the story, I'd distill the best themes of the series into one film (and follow to the story and events of Ocarina of Time as much as possible), and follow the tone of Ocarina as well.
I'd cast Tom Holland as Link, Lilly James as Zelda, and Christian Bale as Ganondorf. Lol. At least those are the first name's that come to my head when I think of actors for those roles.
My hope is that that they don't go cheap and push out a movie for the sake of money. Really hope they approach it with care and try to make a classic for the ages. We'll see though.
I hope they mix all of the zelda aspects together like open free world from botw, story like totk, items like what are in mm, and theming or tone like tp or ss
it all depends on whether it is "live action" or not
if it is live action, then it is as bad an idea as establishing a time-line linking all Zelda games
This could mean a Nintendo direct coming soon!?
My thought is that the cast will be what ends the February direct like marios cast did.
@@bluethesportsgamer7795I kinda feel the meme are coming By making fun of those actors who played by link or Ganon 💀
as long as Nintendo is producing at 50% with Miyamoto, they will have their word to say and they will do it right. As Miyamoto said, they are working on it FOR YEARS. So they may have already declined many versions of the script and they announce it now just cause they are satisfied with the version they have.
How i see this is one of two path do an original story with the classic beats or taking most of the beats from one game and turning that into a movie (most likely if they did that it would probably be based on like BOTW).
Cast
everyone is played by Chris Pratt lol
If you know the history of Nintendo, you know that working with Sony is kind of weird.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster is my choice for Link. He worked with Wes Ball on Maze Runner and I mean, look at the guy. I just don't know if he would be old Link or young Link.
Holy cow this could be like biggest thing ever
TBH I’d rather a series than a movie. That way they could flesh out the characters, lore and storyline.
This is amazing news! I personally dont mind that the movie is going to be live action. Sure, animation is my personal favorite medium, but if we can get an epic, serious story on a grand cinenatic scale then Im absolutely down for it. Nintendo has the chance to make this a phenomal film. I hope they get it right.
Btw, when I mean serious, I just mean I hope that the story takes itself seriously and isnt too overly jokey or parody like. If Miyamoto is involved, I have hope the former will the case.
It will be interesting to see how they pull off the main actor (Link) going the whole movie without speaking.
I wish Ridley Scott were directing it. Imagine his eye for visuals, coupled with an aesthetic close to but not exactly like his film "Legend". That'd gotten me a midnight screening ticket guaranteed.
Nintendo is gonna have a strong input and supervision on the film with Miyamoto and company looking with magnifiers along the way, they want a malleable director who can accept input, Ridley Scott will probably ruin the film.
Now, depending on how they'll go around this, but i hope there will be at least some reference to "Hey" for 10 minutes.
I hope they adapt Breath of the Wild and add more depth to the characters and the world while exploring Link and Zelda's relationship more.
Ah yes...realistic Kass....giant ancient divine beasts...randomly teleporting thanks to a tablet...totally works in a live action movie...

@@heehehoohoo It ruins the style with Zelda, if this was Metroid sure.
This is gonna be tough, but I think this is gonna play out the same way the mario movie did, everyone is gonna be sceptical about it until it comes out, then everyone is gonna love it.
i had a feeling they were doing this, so glad our dream came true also i remember one day were tom holland went around the internet xD with all of those zelda characters as link ganon and as zelda xD
Damnn.
Zelda and chill Play background.
Huge +👍
It also been announced the writer of the movie who previously did the Jurassic world trilogy.
This is amazing !! Finally, after all the April fools stuff and fan made vids this is amazing!! Can not wait for this, I always get excited for things like this I also can not wait for the MGS film that they announced long ago and hopefully will get off the ground and going soon but beyond excited for this !! Happy gaming everyone!
I just started doing voice acting now I definitely don’t want to stop it would be so cool to be in a movie like this
Who says they have to hire an adult actor? Why not just make it as Young Link exploring Kokiri Forest and saving the Deku Tree. I'd watch that!
if they do Twilight Princess as the basis of the story the 2006 child in me is gonna cry. Twilight Princess would also be a great choice just cause its already a very cinematic game and has imo one of the best stories in the zelda series
I know what that link master sword replica is from
Mideval depot i got the dark link version
I will be thrilled if it has very recognizable locations from the BOTW/TOTK Hyrule
I’m almost more interested in who’s gonna play ganondorf. Like are they gonna go a calamity route or (my hope) a menacing ganondorf. Like imagine a Thanos type- powerful, menacing, but with the heart and sadness of the wind waker version
The Rock as Ganondorf. Kevin Hart as Zant
Everyone has seen the new potential of video game movies. Filmmakers are paying attention they're not messing this one up
My idea for a Zelda movie would be to do something ENITIRELY different from what we’d be expecting- tell a story with the theme of a Hero’s journey and a ton of magical realism- make the main actor (Link) someone in their young twenties that we are entirely unfamiliar with- and tell a story that originally comes off as classic and cliche but then is willing to dive into some unknown lore about Zelda to make her character and the title of the film both stand out and be significant. Throw in an incredible music score- and the slightest of references to appeal to the true fans- and a VILLAIN with an actual stage presence- and we could have a masterpiece on our hands. But this is NO easy task.
An action adventutre comedy where the characters are a bit too serious for their own good would be my favorite tone for the legend about a missing elf princess. Some mystery would be nice too if that is at all possible.
I smell a different Zelda announcement coming also.
I’m not really surprised that Nintendo would consider green lighting a Zelda movie, but a live action one? I know it’s a generally good idea to keep expectations to be as low as possible, but I had somewhat hope that Nintendo would go with a animated movie of some kind instead, ya’know something along the lines of the Mario movie or just animation you’d see in the dragon ball super broly (with or without the CGI) or studio gibli films. As for the cast, anyone’s guess is as good as mine, but imagine for moment if say Dwayne Johnson or Jason Momoa (or someone else with a similar build. Can’t think of anyone else rn) got the role for Ganon.
omg Bob with the kill, too soon! Lmao
Austin Butler could play Link. He was basically Link in the Shannara Chronicles. A half elf which a Hylian is basically that. He had a sword in season 2. Just have him not talk and put a hat on him then you got Link.
If Vin Diesel doesn’t play Ganon Dwarf imma be pissed off. Peter Jackson should direct it.
My guess is that they are gonna take some stuff from the more recent Zelda games, like how the Mario movie took stuff from Mario odyssey where the plot was Bowser wanted to marry Peach.
No, even better...link gets his sword from a weird dude in a cave
"Its not safe to go alone. Take this!!"
Wow that sound like its gonna be a good movie keep uploading wood your my favorite youtuber so if you quit ill be devistated
