The 3 way ECT wiring the 3 wire going to ECM the one wire is coolant level supply +5 volt, the second wire is coolant level signal, and the 3rd wire coolant level return... don't worry we will make a 3 way ECT wiring diagram. May I ask if what year model is your car?
hi, i have a problem with my car, my radiator fan does not work automatically. only works with bypass. fuse, relay and motor in good condition. so I changed the water temperature sensor. but the problem is not solved. so I checked the sensor socket fuse with a test pen, but there is no current even when I open or close the switch. so is the socket broken? or is the socket to the temperature sensor really made with no current?
What Car Ang year model? The one wire from ECM to sensor has a current signal 5V then the other wire from sensor to ECM has a current return to ECM when it high temperature. Your test pen cannot read the current because your test pen I think the bulb is more than 5 volt. Try to use digital multimeter.
