Turn off the light, close your eyes, and fly to across the universe. Ian a genius.
This young lad guitarist is truly great.
Listen to Martin on the album. A man in his prime playing his heart out. Why did so few buy that album ?
I wonder what hes doing now, twenty years on. Hopefully still kicking it!
..he is from music-conservatorioum of Budapest..!
That young lad happens to be Ian Anderson ❤SON!! NO KIDDING!!!😊
The blond gitar player born in Germany/Rosenheim in '83..& study & play all round the world..!😉regards from Budapest❤🤍💚😊
What a privilege for all the young in the orchestra playing wonderful music written way before they were born by the incredible man at the front. Ian Anderson, genius, and forever the greatest frontman.
A
That's essentially what orchestras DO, but this is like getting to play with Vivaldi in person!
I'm proud to claim that while the composers of this genre were slogging through endless tours and lawsuits, m-m-my g-g-generation was getting this music into our piano lessons, academic arts roundtable discussions, and post-rehearsal jams so that it's essentially classical/opera repertoire.
@@VallinSFAS Id not seen the name Vivaldi in decades ....... I ain't worried... worry is such a waste of time and energy
@@davidpatrick1813 Que vient faire Vivaldi ici?
Crest of a knave is truly magnificent. Tull at its best. What a fantastic band since day 1. They copy no one and no one can copy them.
Not a copy, but check out Andrew Tisbert, and his band, "Attic of Love" he does incredible covers of Tulls best songs. Check out his band, (Attic of Love), doing "Bridge of Lost Desire".... Prepare to be blown away.
@@williambaldridge1203 Never heard of him so thanks. Nothing to say was excellent and now on Time for everything. Love Tull because I love musicians and am currently blasting out on Martin Miller band. Layla and Kiss from a rose Wow !!
One of the reasons Crest of a Knave was nominated for and won the Grammy.
Yes, much to Metallica's shock, Jethro Tull beat them in the best Heavy Metal album category 🤣🤣 priceless
@@aaronherbison7316 Ian wasn't there but Lars was.ha
@@aaronherbison7316 Yes, the string sections on this bring out the best in Ian's Heavy Metal foundational musical basis.
They only won the very first ever Heavy Metal Grammy because there wasn't a Genius Masterpiece category.
Heavy Metal/Hard Rock
The Father of "Prog Rock"!! Absolutely...................I'm at a loss for words...WOW!!
I love Ian Anderson ( Jethro Tull is my favourite band ) but we've got to give Robert Fripp credit for inventing ( or, at least, making popular ) progressive rock.
I agree Jethro Tull the best progressive rock band and Ian Anderson the best musician in rock .Ian and Jethro Tull above all bands in the planet earth .
Ian makes the flute an extension of his soul! WOW
@@javierllerena5756 Jethro Tull, The greatest live band of all time.
Uncle Ian is genius, jethro tull band as always play high level music and the orchestra is very supportive to extra ordinary performance.....really love this

As wonderful and magical as ever, after all these years ...
Yep, and this particular song has always been crying out for a full orchestra playing on it, out of all the songs jethro tull have done this is the best one for orchestral arrangement. In my opinion of course.
I've loved this group forever and their the very best in concert. I consider it a honor and a privilege to have met them!!
So true
Köszönjük, mi magyarok, Ian, hogy íly gyönyörűen zártad szívedbe Budapestet!
A truly worthwhile blend of rock and classical music. And Ian's is singing as good as in the old days. Beautiful!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IAN ANDERSON!! Such an amazing performer!! Everyone does a phenomenal job....Love the orchestra as well !!!
My favorite music.
Greetings from Ukraine. Thank you.
Ian, thank you for closing Budapest so beautifully in your heart.
Perfect end to the working week! Amazing performance.
One of Ian Anderson's masterpieces. I love this long song to bits and I was lucky to hear a similar live version with an orchestra twice, many years ago, circa 2005 and 2006, plus a live version by Jethro Tull in 1987, my first concert of the band... The orchestra adds some really nice texture to this track. Beautiful and epic !
Masterpiece, Anderson it's a Genius of Music.
A fantastic performance. Love you Ian Anderson.
OMG amazing... Lots of remembers...
Another virtuoso performance from Ian on the flute
Habe dieses Stück in Essen in 2004 oder 2005 zum ersten Mal ganz bewusst gehört und sofort geliebt 💞
Good arrangement with the orchestra, like it.
This is art history. Ian Anderson.
Show!!
this music hypnotizes me, i almost fly, thank you
He's coming from loud heavy music from Madison Square Garden in 1978 to this beautiful masterpiece concert. Such a long way. What an inspiring man ! xD
I was the guy that brought my “Jethro Tull boombox” to heavy metal parties back in the 80’s. I risked my life for you Ian. Thanks for continually creating legendary music. 😊
I did it in the late 90’s and early 2000’s but we won folks over.
Every time I watch Ian play with an orchestra I just wonder if they realize that they're playing with a legend!
A master!! Great musician with a whole legacy of music to all. Thanks Ian!!
Grande Ian!!!
Bellissimo
Grazie" Ian🎇🎇😌
It's just INCREDIBLE!!!!

Magical loved every note and word.
Brilliant!! Martin Barre will be missed for a long time.
By reading this I thought he had passed away and I didn't know. However, he is alive and well.
The young guitar player is doing a good job though, really like. Who is he?
@@Robocop-qe7le Ian fired Martin. this is Florian Opahle
Savannah Church of Christ (Savannah Georgia) seen him in other concerts, he is amazing. Is sad to hear Ian fired Martin. As talented as he is, ian alone is not jethro tull.
Mi-ar plăcea un concert Jethro Tull ,,HOT NIGHT IN BUCAREST"!... INEGALABILUL IAN ANDERSON..

There is nothing better, love it.
Jethro Tull. Musicalement toujours majestueux !
Im argento. Ian and the group was -for me- one of the most important. Im 66 old.
one of the best ever
Ian Anderson is pure magic!
He is such an incredibly versatile musician! Check out the funk on the flute about midway through. This is a masterclass in musicianship.
I bought a few Jethro Tull albums growing up in the 1970's. I still have the original "Living in the Past" classic cover photo-album looking recording. It brings back many memories of weird, but fun mellow innocent times from my teens.
What a FANTASTIC PIECE OF MUSIC! Can't express anything more wonderful to describe it! 😅😊
Great sound on this, I can hear every intake of breath Ian takes before delivering each line. Even though his voice isn’t what it was he always puts on a performance worthy of the music catalogue he’s amassed. Bravo 👏🏻 Ian.
...I agree with all of you...❤️
Ian Anderson is my favorit ... 💚
I'm from Germany and "JethroTull" was my "FIRST LIVE EVENT IN BERLIN (DEUTSCHLANDHALLE ... 4.ROW... AND THAN ... IAN ANDERSON PICKT AB HIS FLUT AND BEGAN TO PLAY ... "LOKOMOTION"...

Please stop the obligate ever-lasting complaining about ' The Voice ' , simply accept it ( or don't and just walk on ... till the next crash about ' The Guitarplayer ' ... ) and enjoy the everlasting fantastic music of mr. Tull : Ian ' Jethro ' Anderson & Co.
