- The Official first episode of "Project Whitey", the one that started it all. Now that other projects are behind us, it's time to begin resurrecting the "rode hard and put away nearly dead" 57 GMC. The special thing about Whitey is the combination of factory V-8, short bed, panoramic back glass, and factory installed Napco 4WD. Redneck Restor4ations serves as a means of documenting all the fine details of what will someday be another standing tall vintage Jimmy.

I like these videos this guy makes
13 Years later.
Hope you are healing up my friend
Love the show and Pontiac power! Bless you for saving these old workhorses and bless your ingenuity!
Gotcha... it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”
Dad turned the wrench all his life on & off the job. In '67 he'd taken a 57 IH custom cab & transplanted via a driveshaft bypass, a 57 Pontiac v8 w/automatic trans. & Dubbed it his "PonyBinder". Stirrin these 49 yr. old memory chips on this one, you are... Thank's 92317
how did i not find this sooner. best youtube channel ive ever seen
‘A Real Truck, For a Real Person, And go Have Some Real Fun’! Just like it should be...here’s someone that’s realistic and understands what practical builds and refurbs are all about!

Interesting To Note!Thxs.
the bloopers are a nice touch to the vids
When the music started at 3:10, I thought you were gonna sing. Whitey - the musical. :)
This guy is awesome.
10/4 on the Real Fun!!!
'55 to '57 nGMC's are my favorite trucks ever, I wish I had one. But sadly (not) I'm stuck with my 1954 GMC 250 Deluxe, 1-ton with the 9 foot longbed.
Thanks for taking that truck out of the junkyard. It deeply hurts me to see a classic truck crushed.
If anything, let it just rust away in a field.
How many more trucks could you build if were not for Out Takes?
Love the idea of useable restores.
Have a 1979 c 20 3 speed
You were Guide a hambone back in those days Jeff Bradshaw.
I hate this episode. This is the first and only one that I "tried" to make an episode.
looking forward to seeing more on this truck ,,, 2 years plus now?
i'd drive it like it is
btw, the little fuzz drifting around your feet, is that the same grey fuzz that comes and goes in an episode here and there more recently?

347 V8 I Was Thinking 327 Or A 348 If Gm Built A 348 At That Time.

Wait!! Wada they do when they see their car all done???? Those same folks were seen having their house done over by some guys who do a whole house, including furniture and a full size sliding billboard for $25,000.00 in seven days.
Whats the cats name ?
dislikers work for discovery channel...
KITTEH
Love your content, but it’s blurry. I’m new to your channel.
Posted in 2009. Back then, CZcams was in its infancy and I didn't have a video camera per se. I was using a Fuji Fine Pix still image camera!
I have a 1960 gmc 6 cylinder super charged Detroit diesel I would like to sale
Don't restore it, just keep it running and drive it. Take it to classic car shows in mostly unrestored condition occasionally and have fun with people's reactions.
But rusty has a cooler paint job
*If anything, let it just rust away in a field.*
well its better than hearing it go CRUNCH
watching paint dry is far more entertaining
hey did you see him kick the kitten?
If you would just show the restoration and not try to be an "entertainer", this would be watchable. Why does everyone try to be something they are not? Can't hang in here. Too much garbage on the internet.
I hate this "episode". It was indeed "trying" to be something and it shows. After editing I went back to just talking to the buyer . I thought several times of puling it, but my wife likes it. C'est la vie
REALLY?? 30 minutes of power washing your truck.....REALLY?? Makes me not want to watch any more of your episodes. :-/
Da Mann That (pressure wash) video was created and posted solely for the owner as part of a phone conversation we had. He had never seen the truck other than some poor still shots. This way he gets to see the purchase he made prior to the build. 213,00 views and 23,000 subscribers later, I think it has done quite well! Go to my playlists to and select "project Whitey" to view the whole process to date.
