      Oh yes absolutely, and me! I never got on with the thicker wires, the 28 seems so much easier to weave with 👍❤️

    Your pendent almost looks as nice in the back as in the front. I really like this one alot!!
    The instructions you give are so well done. I like your soft voice. Thank you for NOT wearing alot of nail polish. I'm ADHD and it distracts from the wire wrapping.
    I also am going to change to 28 gauge wire. I've been using 24 and it doesn't bend well enough to look good to me. I make kind of this, but I used 2 glass drops. It's really bulkier than I like. It was a first one, so I'll find smaller stone and small point back jewel to use. Thanks again!!!!

    I love how this came out!!! I have a question I’m hoping you can answer for me- is liver of sulfur safe to use on a piece I wrapped with a prehnite in it? I know prehnite is a 6ish on the mohs scale, so not a soft stone, but I’d be terribly upset if I stained or ruined it!!! Thank you for all of your tutorials, I have learned so much watching them!! Thank you for the wonderful and clear tutorial, this is my second wire wrap pendant ever and i was able to learn two new weaving techniques from this video! I really like the finished product i made using oval unakite cabochon which looks very elegant and sophisticated. I just have one question that came up when i was weaving that i hope you can help me with: i used 28ga gold wire from beadsmith, and when i was doing the weaving from the spool, the wire is not very obedient and would get quite crooked sometimes. i am wondering if it's just because i am new to this and need more practice, or if it's the wrong wire, or if i need to straighten it with the nylon pliers prior to weaving? Thank you for your generous sharing! Best wishes

    • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  Před 2 lety +1

      I wind my weaving wire into a bobbin, or cut shorter lengths as I go. I don't work off the spool as I find (the same as you) it tangles up and is a nightmare.

I don't know if this is the right place to point this out, but when I clicked the link to your Etsy shop I was warned that the site is unsafe ('invalid certificate') which is going to put people off buying there, which would be a huge pity. • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  Před 3 lety +1

      Someone else asked me that too. You could try it but for the design you need a gap above and below the stone so I don't think that would be easily achieved with a marquise shape 🤔

    • @KellyJonesJewellery
      @KellyJonesJewellery  Před 3 lety +1

      A 20mm stone will work fine, change the amount of weave repeats and add about 5 or 6 inches to the wire lengths (at a guess) and add about 100 or 200cm of weaving wire
