Not only was the atmosphere different than today, but also the amount of land mass available to them. If another advanced civilization existed millions of years ago and they built their cities like we do, then much of their civilization was close to the coasts, like there are today. Once the Oceans had risen those cities are now under not only a lot of water, but also whatever material has been deposited on top of them! Just another reason we wouldn't see evidence of them today. Personally, I think the breakdown of all materials to their basic forms would be enough to make them appear to not leave recognizable evidence.

Great video. One thing I found odd was that they assumed the early people (that made INCREDIBLE cities/structures) needed fossil fuel. How do we know they didn't have another way to move and cut stone or power the things they used to achieve these results? I mean, the city planning alone explains that they understood social impact WAAAAAY before the advent of history (written word 5,500 years ago.) when we were just forming villages. There is a book called the Pharaoh's pump by Edward J. Kunkel that has an interesting take on it being a hydro electric generator. That being said, there was a question asked, what tools did they operate with such power? I think humans are just bigger ants. We think we're intelligent, but we are no different than ants in so much of our behavior. Cities - hives. Hivemind - media etc. I don't think we're more intelligent than people from BC. Only individuals are smart, without them we'd be back in stone age - you know how to use a phone, but can you build one? 99% of us would say no.

If there were advanced civilizations in the past, they might not have invented plastics, electronics, powered flight and other technology. They could have advanced as much as the ancient Egyptians, the Mayans, Babylon, ancient China, etc., and those were really advanced civilizations.
Or their level of technology could have gone a completely different way...for eg. Flying devices....matter manipulation etc. But no phones ...or internet or computer or technology like ours. ..but advance technology in their own way....technology which are even advance then ours ..in the I own way...but if they see our tech they would be surprised too because they are also not that advance in this aspects...because our technology went into two different branches

From my own interest in pre ancient history, and my own research, I have to say this show circles around a lot of my own theories
I think the mistake with the previous civilization hypothesis is that it assumes advanced relatively high technological society. Even a Bronze Age species would leave geological evidence in the form of resource extraction such as mines. I would think it’s more likely that if a previous civilization existed it would be at the level of tribal groups with the first early stone based permanent cities being built here or there before being wiped out by a catastrophe. Though such a civilization would be extremely hard to detect especially if it was buried in the arctic, sunk into the sea, or swept away by tidal or glacial forces. Like the video said evidence for primitive early humanoids is difficult enough to find by a similar non human species that existed two million years earlier would be damn near impossible.

While erosion wipes out every trace here, the rover and flag on the moon would stand longer than 300k years (only if no meteorite hits it).

The human time line goes back about 750,000 years. Now consider this Dinosaurs lasted 165,000,000 years. Who is to say they did not have a sentience civilization at some point. They are so precise that you can cut your finger on the edges. And they are made out of granite and diorite which is much harder to work than sandstone which I believe the exterior of the Pyramid’s are made from. Also all the stones at Puma Punku were destroyed with something that would be equal a nuclear blast. Even modern stone workers can’t figure out how these stones were made at Puma Punku.

That is very interesting to know that's something made exists that was intelligent enough in the prehistoric era of dinosaurs that's why I think it's important to study underground and all four corners of the earth.
The exponential technological growth of the United States in such a ridiculously short period of time has greatly increased the probability that earlier versions of humans could have become technologically advanced, and eventually died out for a myriad of potential reasons, multiple times over the entire history of the Earth. The original Sphinx and Great Pyramid could have been the downtown attraction to an ancient Las Vegas style city that existed 100s of 1000s of years ago and eventually modern Egyptians came along and attempted to replicate their construction, and scratch hieroglyphs on their surfaces and claim them as their own. We just dont know for sure. But what we do know for sure now is that given the right conditions a human society can advance at an exponential rate, and just as easily wipe itself out.

Yeah if there were any ancient civilizations they ALL had to use oil and coal. So revolutionary to think our way is the ONLY way.
If they were capable of using some type of clean free energy then they may not have left any significant signature as would be left by our conventional fuels and would also be undetectable just like archaeological evidence like buildings and pottery and would also contribute to the lack of evidence of these advanced ancient civilization's past existence.
In my travels and studies of Indian epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana I can say that ancient Indians were way more advanced with Gods and Goddesses in existence on land in that time with superb cities full of not just people but riches beyond your imagination. And then Kaliyuga started with the end of World War 1 or the War of Mahabharata. The Indus valley cities have radiation which means sometime in the past nuclear weapons were used. Plus Indians are the only people who still follow their Gods and practices... all other pagan religions around the world have been destroyed by Christianity or Islam or some other. So factually when this Kaliyuga ends, the Golden period will start and I will be there.

It is actually not so strange that you cant fit a piece of paper in between the stones in the pyramids and other such buildings, considering that such buildings are thousands of years old, and small vibrations (like when the wind blows on them) would eventually grind them down into this perfect fit.

Taking into account the amount of water that covers our planet, how hostile the elements can be and how our skin and anatomy are so sensitive to the sun and elements. Our fragile bodies were not designed for this environment. We simply adapt. This planet is the perfect homeostasis/habitat for a reptilian race. This really gets you thinking, especially when every ancient culture spoke about, drew and said to fight a reptilian race.

Although there were no modern examples of metal tools which are a 9 hardness on the Mohs scale, There were plenty of other minerals available which were much harder than the stone being used, they would easily make better tools than modern steel. If you lack skill, you assume others do as well. If you were an idiot before modern times you would likely perish. Only the “talented” people had a higher chance of survival. One item , is like an advanced computer chip , like nothing around today , another is a metal vase , highly decorated , in excellent condition , still embedded in its rock matrix , or the impression of a wagon wheel on coal aged over 300,000 years old , the vase , over 2 million , and the chip , over 5 million years .
