Glad you show it all - the dink days, the backlashes, and the broken-off terminal gear. It’s definitely relatable. Good luck on Clear Lake. Hope you make it out to Texas again, buddy. We miss ya.
Great vid sir. I appreciate your dedication to learning to use it. One thing that I do when learning a new fishing technique or bait, I take just one rod and that specific bait out and fish it all day and force myself to figure out. If nothing else, I figure out what DOESN'T work and adjust from there. It is how I learned to jig fish, T-rig worm fish and trolling. Anywho, keep up the good work. Appreciate you posting.
The birds nest at the end...... That I can relate too. Awesome stuff as always.
Now that was a grind. That delta can humble a person quickly and believe me I have been humbled my fair share while out there. Good luck in the upcoming TOC's and hope you slay em.
Tight Lines!
I keep on waiting to see you on the water. We frequent some of the same spots. I appreciate you being so open about what you choose to throw. We are somewhat different in regards to our approach, but that's how you learn new things. Again I appreciate the time you put in for our viewing pleasure.
Right on, Patrick! I'm sure we'll cross some day! Tight lines and cheers
Greg B...the only you tube fisherman who blurs out the fishes bunghole out of respect due to a foul hook 😂😂
Respect for us or respect for the fish? Why am I asking, of course it's both!
lmao
😂😂😂
Another great episode. Always enjoyable no matter the results
Good luck on tournament day cant wait to see those videos 🎣🎣
Been waiting for your next tournament video for weeks, let's goooo! Get it Greg!
Great video! Good luck man on the tourney!!
Watching your videos always makes me want to get out on the delta. 👍🏻
I'm glad to see some one else gets the BIG professional overruns bedsides me I got one so bad I had to put on new line, but I'm just learning to use the baitcaster. 🙄🐸
lets gooooo i cant wait for you to gain confidence in big baits
I’m glad to see you throwing a bigger bait 🤗
Yea I agree. The drop shot isn't one my favorite baits to see tossed around
Congrats on 80k brother!
Thanks Luke!!
Congrats on hitting 80K!
Thanks man!
You say a grind. I say a good day on the water. Love the video Greg. Keep them coming. Best CZcamsr out there.
I can already tell im gonna like this one with the hogg
Hey Greg that is why these videos are very helpful! If you only showed the great days some people would think that they just weren’t go at fishing. Thanks for keeping it real!!
Good luck with that birds nest! Glad I'm not alone! Always fun to watch and learn.
Tanx Greg...! always good time spent on delta..., magic place 😍😉
Yessir!
Another good video! Nice meeting you at Clear Lake last weekend
Good to meet you as well! Tough up at CL in general
Your bad day is a good day of fishing for me! Enjoyed another vid, Greg! Good Luck up at clear lake, Greg!
I know the feeling man. Sometimes I hit one of the other rods when I cast and get a muther of a backlash. I will normally cut the line and re-tie
Good one Greg! No giants but volume. Cant wait to see the tournament video.
That thing is huge!
All fish sizes are fun to catch to me..But it sure is nice when the big ones bite. Awesome video Greg can't wait to see the clear lake video
I have those days here and there, that backlash on a pad at the end relates all too well 😂 makes the good days that much better
Keeping it real!
Good luck at clear lake Greg!
Man sometimes it can be so hard to replicate a day on the delta. Even if its only been a few days since you smashed em, if the tide is different, moon phase, water clarity changes, wind is or isnt blowing, it can completely change the bite.
Its crazy and so hard to dial in but thats what makes it fun too
POV: your still camera 2 and glad Greg’s making another video ( keep up the good work Greg! )
Love it bro, I use one of those wake baits here in Florida, caught a 15 lb soft shell turtle once on it.! Bluegill color
I’m going to the delta next week, with a kayak I bought Inspired by you. Can’t wait
yessir, Omar! good luck
@@GregBlanchardFishing you made my whole week by replying lmao hope you’re doing well sir!
“One of those days” when he catches 20+ fish is a tough day for this guy. That’s be a killer day for me. He’s way better than me lol
Good day for me if i catch one! 😂
Great video! Big or small, at least you caught them.
what i was most impressed with your buddy on the other vid was his ability to cast the hawg almost underhand with minimal splash.i think that is key when putting it in the right spots for the bigs.
definitely! his mechanics are on a diff level and no doubt makes him more efficient with that bait
Can 10000% relate to just wrapping it up after the birds nest hahaha, always good to see some realistic fishing
I've been fishing by Orwood Marina and throwing speed traps that's whats been working for me. There are alot of good fish by the marina too for some reason. But for some reason they like the speed traps alot barely got anything on spinner-baits or worms.
Greg catches more bass before I finish my coffee than I catch in 2 weeks.
Committed to it!
Congrats on breaking 80k!
Thanks CJ!
I would always fish my baits all the way back to the boat! :) love the videos and hopefully you can become more comfortable w the sponge bob bait!
Ahh more at work entertainment. Thanks!
Great as always. Backlash Greg........now I feel I’m in the same league. Ha Ha
Lots of fish there, small but good ones!
When you kept missing them fish, they are all most likely taking off to deeper water so try hook setting towards the bank. Great video
Greg throwing big baits...Let’s go...
Thanks for not editing the bird nest out! Makes you still seem human! Great video as always!
Fingers crossed for Clear Lake - curious to see if the punch/forg bite continues...
I can never wait to see the results - congrats! Amazing job, can't wait to watch all the nail biting action!
There is nothin like that wake bite
What’s your favorite knot to tie for the jig and popper? As always great vid 👍
At least you got bit a lot with the popper. I have definitely been there, with grinding and the nesting 🤬. That’s when you know it’s time to pack it in! See you next time.
That sponge bob square bill is insane 😂
I'm going fishing Saturday morning. The temps are going to drop a little bit and be in the 40s that morning. There are tons of very small threadfin shad on Wilson lake this time of the year. What should I try to get bites on? I have a drop shot, small swimbait, spinnerbait, chppo, and a frog tied on. 👊👍
I'd try an LV500 or lipless in shallow grass first thing!
Yippee catch a giant!
Greg, I watch all of your videos. I was wondering if you could do a short video your file management and video editing? I went a few times and data files are huge. Thanks in advance for any thoughts
Nice fish
You should preorder one of the new curado 300s for swim bait fishing
i'll look into it, def need a true swimbait/big bait reel!
Greg can you teach me how to punch? I'm knew to the delta and I wanna try something new.
Greg- what is your favorite launch on the delta?
Greg should do a salmon catch and cook video, sounds nice.
Glad I’m not the only one who throws a backlash
Greg bruh! When are you going to start producing music videos..lol you’re intro stay 🔥bruh!!! Lol ✌🏾
I’m sure you may have mentioned it in another video but I probably missed it. How come you didn’t fish the KBF NC this year? I mean besides KBF being on the decline for many reasons I won’t go into. I know it was a pandemic year but its been getting smaller every year.
lol. Bird was messing with you. haha
We’re you in bass pro shops on Sunday? I saw your truck and kayak I believe
wasn't me man, i was up at. Clear lake!
Try a craw. Was throwing a Ragetail Craw last Friday. My game plan for tomorrow.
Where is this place? Look like a nice spot
How fast does your kayak go?
What are your fav toxic baits
I have some advice for you Greg go and check out the Storm lures and check out the large size swimbaits they have. They have swimbaits that really look realistic that you can buy I believe from 3"s to 10"s I've never tried them before. Because my lake sucks. But in the areas you fish I have no doubts that they will work for you. I believe saltwater fishermen probably use them more I'm guessing. Please go and check them out they really look great. Verygood video Greg and good luck on your next tournament Greg.🙂
Hey greg, where did you get your tournament board and scale?
ketch co is the board
where do I buy the wade hog??
Have you ever tried a rooster tail on the delta?
nope
Try a casting jig in those rocks, they get hung-up a lot less.
Hey Greg I'm trying to get into kayak fishing I've done some research but I'm kind of stuck on what kayak to get.Do you have any recommendations for a budget friendly kayak for a beginner.
Outlaw Deception is a good size kayak ... Very stable... $700.00 range
@@fryeguy9939 Thanks man will look into it
@@fryeguy9939 Thanks man
Cool to hear you're getting into the sport. mY first kayak was a lifetime manta off amazon so that's really my only experience with a budget friendly kayak, but hey, I caught fish out of it and it was fun to Mod/DIY.
Greg you have to fish the wade hog the entire day. So you aren’t tempted by the other baits you should just bring one rod. It would be an epic video/challenge!
Do you have any good spots on the delta for bass I’m just a beginner and where do you launch
They are everywhere. You can't really go wrong with any launch. You just have to go and put time in to figure them out.
@@visualkeirockstar Ok thanks
yep, everywhere. i cycle through like 10-15 launches depending on tide, wind, etc. Some days are good, some are bad. Delta is tricky but every so often you'll get on them
@@GregBlanchardFishing Any launches you recommend though? Because we have a boat so we cant really cycle through
Amazing how the bite changes so quickly.. Anyone else wondering, "What the heck is GALT'S GIANT THERMOMETER?" lol
Hey Greg where do you usually launch at
I would like to know too
man, like everywhere i cycle thru all launches on the delta based on tide, weather, time of year
I told my wife to take the kids and the house if I ever bought a $125 lure.
Take them somewhere because you’re going fishing with your new sweet swimbait?
Who pays retail?
The $17.99 large whopper plopper is the most expensive lures I ever bought. That day I bought two of them it was like $40 with the tax. That was 3years ago and only caught 1 bass on one of them.🤣😂🤣😂never again.😂🤣😂🤣
@@stevenvalenti3722 oof!
@@stevenvalenti3722 I bought one a month ago! My first cast I forgot to flip the bail on my spinning reel and snapped the line. Thank god it floats. But I did proceed to catch 5 fish with it after I paddled over to it and retied so it wasn't a complete bust.
👊🏾👊🏾🙏🏾
👍👍👍👍👍👍
what happened to the gantarel
still got em
Hitting the delta for the first time this year on Saturday. Would love a popper bite!!
Greg you didn't make it out to the KBF National Championship this year?
I didn't, was planning onto when it was the spring but couldn't make it happen with the schedule change
@@GregBlanchardFishing Aha! Hopefully next year. COVID messed everything up, so I’m hoping I can make it out to the next one as well.
Nice video man. I'm glad that you're not like those other channels. That "let's go" overly hype garbage.
Slow, jointed wakebaits have been my secret bait for a long time. Think BBZ rats. They straight up get bit, year round. At least in SW Arizona.
Does your buddy sell jigs? Also wondering if he has a CZcams channel
nope but hit em' up, he makes em @aldiewaldie (on IG)
@@GregBlanchardFishing noted, good looks dude🍻
In and Out?
I have called many days a wash after birdsnesting by reel. 🔥 video anyway .
haha always a good sign to head home
When casting big baits, don't forget to leave some line and let the momentum of the swing carry your bait instead of "flicking" (hard casting) like a conventional bait. I've had breakage from the stretch of my line or even snapping on casting with braid. Check the lines! would hate to see ya lose any expensive baits! and again.. my signature comment... SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP
I'm telling you dude, Megabass poppers. They are pricey but you arent going to be disappointed. And yeah, backlashes like that late in the day is a good time to call it.
Dedication to Improvement, that’s why I keep coming back. Well, that and to watch you catch 4” bass for 30 min straight 🤭
Hahha! dinks need the love too! lol
Greg Blanchard totally read that “drinks need the love too”. Especially Sierra Nevada Hazy Lil’ Thing
Haven't seen a salmon fishing video yet
Try to commit throwing the bigger bait all day....stilll a good day of fishing...thanks for all you do
Me: 15 4" bass Great day!
Greg: 15 4" bass bad day.
Do a pan fishing video man like I want to see some California blue gill like how big do those things get you know up here in northern Indiana the fishing just is mediocre
second yay
Yo man I'm not trying to be rude but can I have that rod
