Kirby Buenbrazo I’m sure that’s what Tissaia said at the end too... 😂😂
It gives me chills all the time when she burned everything except Tissaia
Love “ I WANT EVERYTHIIIIIING” part

Also a bit ironic as it were the explosive bottles which lead to that dialogue exchange in the first place.
Tissaia: “Even if you were a beauty, no one would love you”
Geralt: “Damn this girl fine”
Yeah - shut up "Anna Henrietta"!
[the terrific actress who plays Tissaia plays Duchess Anna Henrietta in the game]
no is cute she jennefer always eva green
Technically she was right since Geralt doesn’t love yennefer, he’s sexually attracted to her but not in love.
Edit: Geralt in the Books struggles with the concept of love and the sacrifices it takes, as a result he loves a lot of women throughout the books, and the same goes with his "love" for Yen. So yes Yen in this scene is right, Geralt doesn't love her, just like he didn't love Essi, or Triss. Though Geralt is told by a dragon, who in the series is Brooch, that his only true love will be Yen, but the books seem to contradict this statement time and time again.

*jesus christ what an amazing line for her character*
So true had to listen a second time to make sure that was indeed the words said for that
line.
What is the original scene where she says this?
Anya plays Yennefer with the most confidence and demanding for your attention of a female role I've seen in years. She literally steals every scene that she is in and you can't help but be glued to her performance (and eyes). I think she's done wonders to Yennefer and was way more than I could of ever dreamed of since first seeing this character in the Witcher 3.
Listen Yen makes The Witcher tick period, trust me you won't change my mind....
When she yell "I want eveything !" that is so marvelous part of this story, a deep heart wish from a nothing girl to a high magician, good job anya you did it
Showing how arrogant she is and hypocritical, and I like that about her.
Mirano
You don't understand, she basically wants a child.
In the world of the Witcher no one can have everything and for sorceress and mages that means they cannot have children.
So when she says : everything she basically is wishing for a family.
Power, love, family. Those are the three all encompassing desires for wanting Everything that matters most to anyone.
No baby though, wanting everything
now she is barren.
Mirano I guess you’re not mature enough to completely understand Yennefer

I've never felt so identified with a character from a serie. Her story, her pain, the rejection from her father, the lack of beauty, the sacrifice to be beauty, to be powerful but still with a void.... Feel you sis.

She is one of the protagonists, but this speaks of how well done this story is, which is why it is my favorite. In fact, they don't even begin to know the greatness of this masterpiece.
both Geralt, Ciri & Yennifer are the main characters
The showrunner said she was her favorite in the book so she gave her A LOT of screentime. I would say Geralt and Ciri get a lot more than her in the books.
It's weird though that I think with how little screentime she gets in the book compared to the show, she's a lot more interesting. I think Sapkowski wrote her pretty well and that makes up for the smaller amount of screentime. The show Yennefer isn't that bad, but I feel like with all the time they invested into her I was expecting a lot more. Supposedly most of the writing team is inexperienced so I think it might take them a bit longer to get there for me. Maybe season 2.
Although I've been hearing some leaks on what Yennefer might do in season 2 and I hope it's fake because if it's true I don't think I'll like her anymore :(
There are three main characters. She is one of them

After seeing it again, I can appreciate the amount of care that went into this in selecting the scenes and combining them with selected audio from the series to craft this story of Yennefer demonstrating her suffering, struggles and overwhelming strength of will that got her through it all. It really makes me appreciate her character even more and this is absolute brilliance.
She’s fricken amazing and does Yennifer to the T!
She is so beautiful. The contacts on her eyes look pretty cool, this is the look that the Valyrians in GOT should've had.
True
They're not contacts, Yennifer's violet eyes are actually CGI. Geralt's and Ciri's are contacts, you can tell when you look closely. There are shots where you can see Yennefer's pupil expanding/contracting, which is impossible with regular contacts
I think they compliment her skin perfectly and overall her hair, skin color and the purple eyes just look..right

Can I just gush over the way the show handled this character? So many disabled characters are cured as some sort of metaphor for their character development, and as a disabled person I hate that shit. That's not how disability works. It hurts to work to minimize and hide my disability; like it hurts Yennefer. Her transformation doesn't make Yennefer better or worse. She is as intelligent, as ambitious, as kind, as depressed, as strong, as manipulative and sexual after her transformation as she is before. I love how complicated she is. How she is so angry and sad and conniving and bitchy and yet utterly charming and vulnerable. What an Icon.
This is an independent fictional world, independent character. You can't just assume she is there to represent disabled people as a whole, all aspects of your struggles. Some, sure, but not step-by-step ticking the boxes of what your lives entail. It sure shows how disrespected, undervalued, bullied and underestimated people with disabilities are - though I would say people that are different in general. Her character resonates with me a lot too even though I don't have a physical disability (a mental one though, but people don't notice that so my struggles don't occur because of my disability, rather than by being different in this robot-like society). You could also decide to see her transformation as non-literal, because it might as well represent an internal shift when you defeat your disability (you dont have to remove it per se, but stop being controlled by it).
There are myriads of possible interpretations in art, we can't assume them to be all specific metaphors, some authors even despise it, like Tolkien, so you wouldn't be able to say how you hate that Tolkien's represantation of evil is racist because the bad guys are southern men of dark skin and orcs... This simply isn't a metaphor meant to say something about contemporany society.

I was pleasantly surprised by how captivating her story arc was. It was just as enjoyable as Geralt’s.
I've always found acting intriguing, as it's more than what the average person perceives it to be. And Anya Chalotra tops my argument. Think about it; if you were to read a script and it were to say "everything" as a line, it wouldn't be moving at all. It's just a word. But she transforms that word- that simple, general word- into power. Emotion. That silent scream- on a page- would hardly be as powerful. Now, I'm not saying books are awful, as they have their perks. But Anya does it in such a way it's breathtaking. It's powerful. It's simple. It portrays all of Yen's pain and anger in one shot. It's simply incredible.

She is one of the best female characters I really like her with geralt
Her acting was so amazing and powerful.
The actress is amazing. She might be a top contender for Oscar someday too.
This Video is an inspiration and motivation no matter where you are what you are if you have the courage to change your future its you and only you are responsible
I’ve watched this an unhealthy amount of times
Yennefer is my favorite character in the witcher, her acting is so good knowing she's a new comer. Yennefers acting skills, beuty, and persona reminds me of young Eva Green and Penelope Cruz ;)
Rightly so
Brilliantly put together. The team did such a great job with Yennefer - from the writing, cinematography, to the costumes and makeup, and of course an outstanding breakout performance by young actor Anya Chalotra. Looking forward to season two.
thanks)
The characters of Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri (season 2) were incredibly well cast; so well, in fact, I fear I'll probably miss them when I go back to replay The Witcher 3...
Incredible actress and a stunning woman
Her strength, her determination, her desire of power but also her vulnerability makes her a being capable of doing almost everything.
Watching her go from the innocent, broken, but full of potential little girl she was to the powerful and unstoppable woman she is now, is just amazing.
Anya acting was phenomenal, Yennefer is definitely one of my favorite characters.
Also, to whoever edited this video.
You did an incredible job, hopefully your talent will get the recognition it deserves.
Although Yennefer is a great character, Tissaia has to be my favourite character- just her aura and presence is amazing (not to mention the actress)
I agree i would switch their characters. actress who portrayed Tissaia would be awesome Yen
Her character development is insane 🧡
