  • In this video I explain the common reason why your engine won't start caused by no injector pulse. Some of the common causes are faulty crankshaft position sensor, bad harmonic balancer, worn or broken timing belt, shorted fuel injector and faulty ecm.

Hello, nice vid. I have a daihatsu sirion 2 with K3-VE engine and it stopped running all of a sudden. It cranks, but no start. I checked all the fuses/relays, they seem good. I checked the crankshaftsensor and it's giving me close to 2000 ohms. So that seems ok. I tested the harness with ignition switched on, no voltage. Any idea what that could be. I still have to check to camshaftsensor though. Regards

    Hi
I have a 2017 Volvo V40 that suddenly wouldn't start. I had breakdown attend. They put Easy start into the inlet ducting and the car ran until the Easy start ran out. I have no errors. When cranking I have fuel pressure off around 50psi on the low pressure side and 100psi on the high pressure side. I cannot hear and injectors firing when holding a screwdriver against the body of the injectors. I'm contemplating getting a cheap oscillo scope to test the output from the ECU. If that doesn't show an output could I use a secondhand ECU and get it reprogrammed without incurring the cost of a Volvo garage? Thanks, Mike
