Good to see you've found a replacement for Winston's classic 8 mile fudbike route. 😉 Ps. I think we could hear your sound test over the crowd at Sophie's fitba tournament in Meadowmill 📢
The auto clutches I had a few fail on the 110 engines. I was always swapping plates/springs trying to get them to work without slipping. I have another engine in my Yellow honda 70 and it has been to wales and all over and been perfect. Just luck of the draw I guess. The 125 manual engines are probably the most robust I think. Been fording and allsorts in the past with one. I think thats what ed march mainly ran in his adventures. I would say the standard 90 engines are the best if rebuilt and balanced properly but for the money i think its worth giving a lifan a whirl
Aye, it appears that lots of other folk have clutch issues too, it's just that the few folk who haven't shout the loudest. 😂 The Lifan is a horrible wee unit but it's cheap. I guess you get what you pay for. I'll be putting the Honda motor back in when the lifan gives up the ghost.
Got a lifan 110 4 speed manual,I've had kitaco, takegawa and my last was a honda nice 175 and I choose the lifan 110 ,awesome engine ,gears smooth and never jumped out of gear, over 3k on it now.
@@michaelbennett6550 Let me know how it goes. Everyone I've spoked to seem to either have issues from new like I have or start developing issues between 3-10k.

That's the Saltoun TT I'll have you know.
Sounds sweet, the wee little cub. Love them wheels, looks smart on that.
Cheers mate. You reckon the sound in the video was ok?
@@yodagoat A bit muffled compared to some of your other videos I think. Picked up the bike sound ok though

Use genuine Honda plates on the lifan and you won't have any issues
Where did you get the wheels and how much are they?
I got them from Kepspeed on offer. I think they're usually around £160 or so. I got them for £140 odd.
