    Well explained about the engagement, well showcased too.
    No way I am going back to 23mm rims after getting 30mm rims. Smoother turns, especially fakies. I've not tried any Nukeproof stuff, but this wheel is good value, alot of engagement for the money.

    Has the freehub gotten louder with 6 months of use? Any issues with the wheel now? I’ve heard some stuff online saying this hub can get insanely loud. I’m personally a fan of the loud hubs I love them

    Hey man, I’m going to upgrade the shock on my siskui n7. Either a dpx2 or a x2. Would the x2 be worth the extra $100?

    • @Kaedenfu
      @Kaedenfu  Před 3 lety

      The DPX2 is set and forget on the first one or two rides, meanwhile the X2 is going to take 4-5 rides to get dialed in. If you go the DPX2 route, make sure you look up the tune ID. Since it only has high speed compression (lockout) and rebound, a tune is pretty much a set amount of low speed. You’d have to do some research as I forgot what all the tune kinds their are, but I’d just make sure you get one for a progressive frame.
      DPX2
      Pros
      -Going to be simpler to do air can services
      -Easy to set up
      -Pretty smooth
      -Less expensive
      Cons
      -Only has high speed and rebound
      -Can be harsh at times
      -Make sure to get right tune
      X2
      Pro
      -You can make it feel however you want, really no limit to tuning
      -Looks super good
      Cons
      -More expensive to do maintenance
      -You can get lost in tuning
      -Takes a lot of time to get right
      -More expensive

      Thanks man, yeah I’m still really not sure. I kind of want an x2 for the “plowability” lol. Just hoping the dpx2 doesn’t still feel to harsh on the big hits and chatter like my dps does

      @Kaedenfu  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah, for the price I’d pick a used Rockshox Super Deluxe. You can service them yourself and in my opinion they feel much smoother then the DPX2. They are also cheaper then the DPX2 too. If off the bat it’s harsh, you can get Meg-Neg and the total would probably be the same amount as a DPX2.

      @@domanater480 I run the rockshox super deluxe ultimate with Meg neg on my n7. It was super harsh when I got it.I installed the Meg neg kit and it changed the bike completely. Meg neg plus super deluxe is really really good. I was between the x2 and super deluxe and chose the super d because I can service it myself without compressed nitrogen and it came in a 205x65 . The x2 comes in 205x62.5 and your u need to have fox service it to extend it to 65 mm stroke which will set you back like another $120. The x2 is more than the super d, harder to service and you need to send them off before you can even use it to it's fullest potential. For me, the rs with Meg neg was still less work and less money and will be a more user friendly piece of kit over time. Plus if you ever want to sell it you can remove the Meg neg can and sell it on its own. Hope this helps

    How have these been holding up? Might get this set since I’ve destroyed my Bontrager rims 😭 I’ll also add cushcore to them too if you think that would make a difference

      They’re great. Put a 29 rear on my Reign and is the same exact quality. Definitely recommend!

      I had the same experience with these. After 600 miles of smashing them through rock gardens they were still like new, straight as an arrow.
