    2 months ago I picked up the P1P as my first foray into 3D printing and I'm loving it. Building myself a Marrock helmet and armor which I got off your website and it's been a blast learning how to do all of this!! If I cheaped out and got something a bit more affordable and had to do the bed levelling myself or having to deal with failed prints, I might not be so hyped for all of this and it probably would have ended up as a giant paperweight. So glad I chose Bambu!! Love the channel!!

    I was also considering the X1C but went with the Elegoo Neptune 4 Max as I want to try and print helmets like your awesome designs in as few parts are possible, preferable in one piece for the main part and then all the decors beside it. It prints fast, much faster than my old GooFoo Mido Core-XY style and so far I am pretty happy with the outcome on the stuff I have printed :)

      Core XY also doesn't put the belts under the load of a bed slingers at similar speeds due to the weight differences, large beds have a lot of momentum pulling at those belts

    I would check out the new FLSUN S1 before you commit to a lot of Bambu printers. My FLSUN V400 prints faster at better quality than my Bambu, so I have extremely high hopes for the S1, and the pre-release footage looks promising. Heck, V400 are sold for cheap now also, you'd get the higher build volume and speed you're looking for. The round Delta format is also conducive to helmets. I will be the first in line for a larger Bambu though, because I'm hooked on multi-color printing. But for single color and speed the FLSUN can't be beat. EDIT: Well, I made this comment in the beginning of the video when you were talking about the Creality, somehow I brain farted on the title where you already forked over 15k...I'm not the reddest apple in the orchard 😂😂

      Yeah but the flsun printers don’t have the volume. But they are pretty darn handy for leg and arm parts on armor. And that aren’t exactly slow either. I think they have a pretty good place in a print farm depending on what your making but as sole printers I highly disagree.

    CR-10s were never top of the line printers lol. They were always an expensive budget option.
    How are you offsetting the "lower value" of multipiece helmets to your customers? As in: multipiece helmets involve more labor and will never be as strong as singlepiece buckets, even if they've got a higher level of detail it's still a big difference.

    • @GalacticArmory
      @GalacticArmory  Před 5 měsíci +1

      You might want to use a stronger glue if you think multipiece helmets aren't as strong as single piece prints. The point of failure on all my multipart prints has always been the print itself (which would also be the case on a single helmet print) - not the glue bond.

And as you used Cr-10s before this (BTW the only printers I own (old school single Z CR-10, a huge CR-10 S5, and a newer CR-10 V3) you obviously didn't need the enclosure so could have just gone with the new Bambu A1... which right after Xmas I'm getting one for myself!

    The biggest concern with Bambu Lab is privacy concerns. It was just discovered that Bambu Labs is still sending data in the background even when using Lan only mode. If you value your privacy stay away. Competitors are quickly catching up to bambu labs. The biggest advantage the X1C has is that its ready to go outside of the box, which is a big value for a business. I would not put it past bambu labs to push out firmware updates that reduce quality in some sort of sneaky way sort of how the iphone was slowing down older phones so people can upgrade. This is the downside of a closed system. I do not trust bambu, and I have an X1C that I use for novelty items. Its a great printer, but beware of the company itself.
