I was gonna explain my view on the homie. but bro i'm no wordsmith. so what i can say don't come close.
My Grandfather died literally this morning at 8:43AM from lung cancer so it was nice to stumble upon this song from the BBC article. He was a great man, a proud soldier and a loving father. He was flawed like all of us are, but he cared deeply for his family, his friends and his principles - and for that i deeply respect him. Yet just like the girl at the start says, it's amazing how quickly stories slip from your mind or become lost as you grow older. It's a blessing to live in an age now when we can document so much of our lives and relationships with others, i know i'm going to try to do so more now.
I'm so sorry for you loss! This makes me think about my mum who's been gone almost 20 years now so I feel you ! ♥

Shit... My dad passed away today, I am 22 but my parents have been separated ever since i was 5-6 years old. I didn't see him often enough when I was a kid and now he is gone forever...I even had plans to spend more time together with him this autumn, but I didn't get that opportunity. Not enough photographs, not enough memories, just nowhere near enough... He has another child from a different mother who just turned 12 about a month ago. The kid is fucking 12 years old and lost his father ffs... Life comes and goes, we can't take anything for granted. Take care of your loves ones, because you never know when the day will come. Take photographs and create those moments, you never truly know how much time you have left.

Create real memories and remember to tell people what they mean to you before it's too late,thats what really matters.........of course a picture can be nice to have,but it is much more importent to tell people how much you love them,and if they don't like their pic taken,then make little videos without them knowing;o)

This song was uploaded the day after my cousin died in a tragic car crash, the 9th they took her off life support. All I have is a picture of her as a newborn being held in my arms. I was a kid. I was afraid to hold her because I was afraid she would break. Looking back I am so grateful I did. Today is Christmas, the first one without her. The pain will take a long time to subside. Spend time with your loved ones, friends. Cherish every moment no matter how small.
