The frog in this video was thought to be a Florida bog frog. I now know it was not that species. Due to it being a juvenile I still have not been able to identify it. If you know the species, please let us know.
Very nice job you do a lot with a modest set up, impressive. Best hands on explanation of the real world use of the Raynox. Thanks.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Enjoyed the video and photos. The Raynox working distance was helpful as well👍👍
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Noticed one thing on this video that I love being the old age that I am. You moved your hat backwards to shoot and look through the viewfinder, then moved it back to normal when walking around. hehehehe
🤣 Yes, I can't stand my hat backwards. Occasionally I will forget it was turned backwards, but usually it won't stay that way very long.
Great vlog mate! Awesome compilation as well! The high angle shot of the common buckeye is stunning, thanks for sharing☺️👍👍👍
Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear you enjoy it.
A nice micro safari ! :-) . Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video thanks for sharing interesting you using the 40-150 i have this lens along with the 60mm macro, look forward to the next one.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video. I will one day get the 60mm macro when I can afford it. Would love to give it a try.
Good luck on your new channel. I have been checking out the same thing. Hi from Northern Ireland.
Thank you! It's a great kit. I'm in Florida, USA.
Awesome pics.. A new sub.. All the best from Colorado USA.. 😎🇺🇸
Many Thanks! I believe Colorado is just as hot, as here in Florida currently.
I bought the same thing a couple of weeks ago and I was surprised that it didn't really work with my 40mm macro lens. It works pretty good on my 70-300mm lens though. Not easy doing macro with it zoomed in at 300mm but the magnification and working distance is good.
From what I can tell, anything under 60mm and the Raynox isn't great. It's meant for telephoto lenses. It certainly gives a cheaper macro option over paying high amounts on dedicated macro lenses.
It says on there website "Suitable camera lens: f= 75mm* or longer focal length." for the DCR 250
@@riley56566 Yeah I bought it based on a youtube photographer who just said it would double the size of your image. No mention of needing a longer focal length. I might have have read some reviews where people mentioned it though. You can never go just on the opinion of a youtuber who's being paid to spruik a product.
Dude, you already have a cracking macro body, just buy a macro lens.
I do already have an Olympus 30mm macro that I love. Eventually I'll get a 60mm macro.
I'm one of those guys that loves playing around with budget gear.
@@motivatedoutdoors That's fair play. Hey, as long as you're out there snapping away, I might just as well shut up :)
@@eclap78 🤣 that's all it's about. Having fun!
