    I ended up winning one of these in a contest. Although mine is coming all tricked out with tires, lift kit, lights, tint.... I'm very excited to receive it!

      Wilber V 42k I believe it was, one thing I’m seeing is the windshield doesn’t take rock chips very well, in one day I got 3 chips that crack right away. Other than that though it’s a great vehicle

    For the prices they charge, LED lighting and seven inch entertainment screen should be standard. Base radio doesn’t even have XM.
    It is a really competent and iconic vehicle. Capability is other world. I recommend any one rent it for a week and drive on highways. While the ride is improved, steering still wonders and it’s a two handed constant adjusting deal. You may be ok with it, but it definitely doesn’t track straight. Loose steering is probably a function of capability for off-roading.

    • @TheTestDrive
      @TheTestDrive  Před 4 lety +2

      Paul M agreed - the lighting can’t be that expensive to make part of the base pkg and so many vehicles come standard with CarPlay now. And you’re right, at high speeds it still wanders but it is a massive improvement over the old one. Not sure if it can be improved more and still have the off-road capability. Perhaps if they had different driving modes for the steering or a street-only version that isn’t as off-road capable but is more planted since most people will never off-road their Wranglers.

      The Test Drive I love my Wrangler. It’s my second one! Two-door, manual trans, soft top. A REAL Jeep! We like it for backroads on the weekends there’s always a fight for it if the family has to split up! We LOVE IT on the weekends! But it’s not an everyday drive. If it ever becomes one, it’s not a Jeep!
