    * 3 pounds Cassava (frozen and thawed)

    * 2 shallots finely minced
    * 1 tbsp dry chili flakes
    * 1 Serrano chili (optional)
    * 1/4 cup chopped scallions

    Never had Attieke before. Is it similar in taste to gaari? Regarding the green sauce, I tried your recipe before and OMG! It was already good after blending...so good that I wanted to stop right there but I heated it through as you suggested and 😮 😮 😮 . The flavor was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!! For anyone watching for the first time, Nanaaba is THE TRUTH! No need to wonder if you should try her recipes. I’ve tried several and it NEVER FAILS to deliver👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

      Yes it is similar to Gari but moist.... You can also prepare is by steaming gari. Check CZcams

    Attieke is sooo good! With fried tuna , they call it "Garba". With a side of tomatoes, parsely, onion, and coriander...yummy!

    Woow! I grew with my grandmother in Jamaica where did everything the ole fashioned way, we grater the sweet cassava and put in a special kind of bag and made a layer where the cassava in the bag would under or between the wood and we would leave out to squeeze out the liquid and dry in the sun all day until it became dry and then we sieve it and lay on a very hot pan and bake it on wood fire that's what we call bammy! And we have it with fry fish too or any meat of choice!! Bring back memories.

      In Sierra Leone we eat Fried Fish, Cassava bread and gravy. I went to. the Bahamas and saw a lady preparing this dish. I was shock.

    It seems everyone in the comment section is saying its an ivorian food. Well its a ghanaian delicacy as well. It's a tribal food of the nzemas' in Ghana. The nzema people are also located in Ivory coast as well who are popularly know in as Apollonians(Apollo people). Akyɛkɛ( which is the correct spelling)is a more popular food in ivory Coasy as compared to Ghana. But just in case someone says its an ivorian food and not Ghanaian. Well news flash its both. All the same its one of the best food ever.

      Nanaaba's Kitchen yes sis a Lot of people assume I am Ghanaian because of my name 🤣. Mansa is my middle name and it is a mandinka word derives from the ancient Mali Empire meaning king/ruler/conqueror. It was the title of the rulers such as the Famous Mansa Musa.

      This is actually the easiest and quickest way to prepare it. They spend more time in fermentation, and getting the texture right. It is so worth it though, as I’m sure you know. Thank you sissy 🙏🏾💕

      Greetings I wonder if you are talking about the cassava used cause from what I know as a Jamaican there are two different type of cassava sweet cassava and bitter cassava, and they both are in white tuber and yellow tuber the sweet one that we cook like yam and there are white tuber and yellow tuber same goes for the bitter one that carries more starch and that's the one we used to make bammy and bammy bread

    Had it with fish and Aloko when I visited Côte D'ivoire and it was delicious. Cannot use Nigerian cassava straight away though because I think ours needs extra processing to avoid poisoning.

    Woooow. Extraordinarily awesome. I learnt something New. I felt it looks like Garri flour except it’s coerced and unroasted but steamed. Love the stir fry of the spices well flavorful and yesooo we don’t do things plain in our kitchen 🤣 looks incredibly delicious 😋 with that grilled fish. This is a must try oo. I will go hunt cassava by fire by force😋❤️❤️😘

    Excellent. It looks yummy. I cooked Shito this afternoon, the shorter method. It came out exceptionally good. Hey the standing at the stove 😂 but I loved every minute. My first Shito- perfect and delicious. I am worried that the three jars will finish in no time. My cabinets do not have locks. Love you Nanaaba. Please keep up the good work. I am a good cook now in the house. Hubby always smiling when I stand at the stove. Thank you 👏🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Not mainly from Ivory Coast. Attieke is an Nzema dish originating from Western Region before being adapted by the appolo (Ethnic Group) from Côte D’Ivoire.
