Awesome video man! F-450 is a beast. Powerstroke Arod just posted his first customer with 1 million mile 6.7 powerstroke, 1.3 million miles exactly. I think Ram is a very strong competitor for 2021 HO Cummins with the cp3 pump and 1075. But ha, Ford is getting it done gracefully. This is the best time to be in the market for a diesel truck. I am absolutely loving my 21 F-350 Tremor 6.7! Can't wait to see the video with F450 pulling your trailer.
Does that chip delete your warranty? Same thing about the turning…..wow. Having had a Ram 3500 and a F350 it’s a game changer. The power is crazy….I haul 16,000 lbs often and while you know it’s there you do tend to forget it. A beast!!! You guys did a great job.
Confirming my Duramax has a DEF Gauge in the screen but I’ve got to scroll to it. Definitely think Ford makes the best looking duallies. Those rear fenders are so aggressive. That front camera washer always trips me out Lol. Why can’t you just wipe it off at the gas station? Love it!
Never have I ever get to see a Ford 450 with a long bed wow I wish ram will do the same with the 4500/5500 I’ve seen some custom beds on the ram and they look badass but ford really clutch this one
That 430 rear end does eat the fuel even with the 10 speed, but if you can afford the 80 grand the fuel should be a piece of cake. The Ram does have a more appealing inside but hey as long as I have the uplifter switches I am good. Now just try to find one…..LOL.
Those V8's fly, but according to to my Ford buddy who isn't a happy Ford owner right now, they break a lot. I personally think everything breaks but his Ford has had more trouble than most.
I will be honest, I do hear about Ford problems more so than the other 2 and it makes sense, they sell more trucks and pushing them out a lot quicker 👍🏾

@@JB_WhoWork the pump is so bad that Ram recalled all of their trucks that use a CP4. Ford won’t do it because they are known to deny warranty claims on these failures by blaming bad fuel and not the poor design, but more importantly, Ford would have to fix their trucks that date all the way back to 2011. I might switch to Ram for my next truck if they ever get a 10 speed just because of this recall.
Ford has the best looking dually on the road right now. Those lines are so clean. Ram dually proportions are comically large. They went too hard in the paint.
A 450 is really at the top of my possible list for the next tow rig BUT If that 2022 Ram 3500 DRW drops with an Allison 9 speed the Ford ain't happening
One other thing I'm not too fond of that Ford did on the 450: The wheels are no longer true Alcoa, made in 'Murica. They're Alcoa-like, but made in China. Well documented the corrosion issues that owners have been dealing with.
@@LGBFJB46 i agree, but that is 250/350 specific. The 450s suspension setup is completely different. I'd be a bit more concern with the horrors of the 10spd trans with trucks over 50k miles right now.

I think so too, most people hate on RAM but I guarantee majority only regurgitate what other people have said.. I typically see RAM trucks lifted, deleted, and being driven like race cars and I’m sure most of the guys having issues are the ones modifying them...
Nice truck. I think duallies are so cool. I’d have one if I didn’t have to drive it every day. They are far and away the superior tow vehicle. My chevy doesn’t let you put the Def gauge at the top there but it does have a gauge you can display in the center screen. What it does do in tow/haul more is switch the volt meter gauge to the transmission temperature gauge. Well I guess I should say it does that if you have the technology package.
I tested a 10 speed duramax yesterday speaking of GM👀 I’m with you, living with a dually day to day is big boy problems I don’t want right now but lawd have mercy it feels good having that stability... Yea I thought I saw a DEF gauge in a GM truck recently but I couldn’t remember where 👍🏾

I know we all say that with 2500s and even 3500 SRWs but the truth is they are still just pickups. The dually is made for this kind of stuff and it shows.
I agree. And then I would add if you are going to be towing a lot of long distances for just the added stability. They are overkill for me though. But like I said for no more than they cost compared to a 2500 I would have still bought one if I didn’t have to drive it everyday lol.
It really angers me that Ram will not make a true 450 competitor. So many truck buyers love the 4500 but wish there was a 450 competitor from the factory. That wide track front axle is next level when towing big-boy 5th wheels or even long trailers. I have to hand it to Ford here on the 450. Sure, the F450 unloaded will beat the hell out of you, but throw some weight behind it and it gets down and dirty.
Yea the V8 diesels mated to those quick shifting 10 speeds are quick off their feet for sure but I noticed loaded off the line performance is in the favor of the Cummins/Aisin configuration 👍🏾
I was literally putting my deposit on my 3500 Ram mega cab dually on Saturday, now I got to go test drive this 450 tomorrow.... dammit man I've been a Dodge owner my entire life and i can't believe i am wavering, but i have 20k 5th wheel arriving in July and this just may be the better truck
Let us know how it went. They are hard to find rn but myself and everyone that has driven my truck says the front axle makes it so much nicer to maneuver than not only other long bed duallys but even short bed single rear wheels. A friend of mine has a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel and when driving my truck said he's pretty sure the 450 turns tighter. I'm not a brand loyal person and liked my Silverado the best of all the trucks I have and I've had ones from each of the big 3 but I was pretty much sold by the time I got out of the tight dealer's lot! I don't think you can go wrong with any of these new trucks but the wide front axle made my decision easy and I haven't regretted it at all, except when making my payment haha and unfortunately they are all expensive now 🙃
It's a nice truck f450...but ford is still comparing the f450 to the dodge 3500 ram which i think ford can't keep up with when it come to tq and towing...f450 and the ram 3500 is not and apples to apples...I say...but the ford 450 is a nice truck...but not that nice...love the vids man keep it up man..."Jah love"

Is it an electric shade that covers the sun roof? And is the sun shade insulated? Living in Florida we get baked by the sun and if the shade isn’t insulted it gets kinda toasty... I have the SRW 1 ton Denali, but I have to say all the big 3 trucks are good looking trucks. My Denali is extremely comfortable, but if I were doing construction or something along those lines I think I’d go with a Ford truck.

@@JB_WhoWork I agree with the mega cab, that would be sick. For my use I prefer the truck not having a pickup bed for the simple fact that it’s easier for me to hook and in-hoop my gooseneck/5th wheel. With the dually it’s a pain in the behind climbing the fenders. And no I’m not old I’m only 34.
@@JB_WhoWork currently a cb650r. It’s kind of a modern retro bike. It’s a sport bike but the ergonomics are more upright and comfortable and there are no fairings. Not sure how versed you are in types of motorcycles but there called sport-nakeds or just naked bikes. I’ve been thinking of getting the new 2021 cb1000r when it comes out though
@@JB_WhoWork What happens is you get ice ruts in the road, two wheels cannot track in one rut so you fish tail all over the place. Some even take one wheel off each side, it looks really stupid.
I heard that the number of holes on the wheel is different and that is an identifier. I was pretty disappointed and its probably some bean counters decision. But, the Alcoa name was thrown around a lot before and Ford dealers probably do nothing to tell new buyers differently. I wonder if Ram 3500 Duallys use Alcoa? Maybe JB knows?
At least it will monitor my trailer's tires. It's a lot easier to feel a problem with the truck tires than the trailer's. That's not to say I wasn't a little disappointed and I called my salesman while I was on my first long trip to see if I was just being stupid. Since I have to choose having the longevity and strength of the steel belted tires outweighs that steel blocking the TPMS signal 🤷♂️
Ford knows they have something RAM can’t compete with, hopefully they wake up and give the truck world what it needs. Side note, payload will suffer worse on the RAM...

Dude, Ram gotta bring it because Ford definitely gonna do it on the cash cow Super Duty. I think they're gonna have some tricks up their sleeve when they move to the 5th Gen cab. They always do.
No tricks just intensive research and development, engineering and the courage to try new things and think outside the box. The on board generator/hybrid system didn’t happen overnight. Ford has been doing hybrids since the early 2000’s and they’ve been continuously working on it since then. FCA hasn’t devoted any time or money developing advanced electric propulsion systems so there is no way they will be able to compete with Ford’s Powerboost technology.
@@khakiswag not necessarily true. The Pacifica PHEV and forthcoming 4XE JL Wrangler will serve as the basis for Ram, obviously with bigger batteries for a large vehicle. I suspect Ford will still lead the way though, because as you say they have been doing this for while(all the way back to the Hybrid Escape in the mid 2000s). That all-electric F150 is going to be interesting, just in time to steal the show from Rivian and Hummer.

The 2020 and up GM’s do have a DEF gauge, it’s in a scroll menu not one of the main gauges such as the fuel gauge.

I'm fairly certain the 450's engines are not rated at 475hp and 1050 torque.
I think I’m going Ford this summer. My Ram now needs a new gauge cluster. The dealer said it’ll be down at least two weeks.

@@JB_WhoWork currently a cb650r. It’s kind of a modern retro bike. It’s a sport bike but the ergonomics are more upright and comfortable and there are no fairings. Not sure how versed you are in types of motorcycles but there called sport-nakeds or just naked bikes. I’ve been thinking of getting the new 2021 cb1000r when it comes out though

@@JB_WhoWork What happens is you get ice ruts in the road, two wheels cannot track in one rut so you fish tail all over the place. Some even take one wheel off each side, it looks really stupid.

Did Ford go back to American made Alcoa wheels? Or are they the Chinese made wheels?
When did they stop using Alcoa? Alcoa supplies the aluminum for the bodies of the F series and Expedition.
I’m not sure but I heard they were not genuine Alcoa wheels...
I heard that the number of holes on the wheel is different and that is an identifier. I was pretty disappointed and its probably some bean counters decision. But, the Alcoa name was thrown around a lot before and Ford dealers probably do nothing to tell new buyers differently. I wonder if Ram 3500 Duallys use Alcoa? Maybe JB knows?
I’m not too sure, the 4500/5500 have similar wheels optional for those rigs and they just say forged Aluminum last time I did a review on one

At least it will monitor my trailer's tires. It's a lot easier to feel a problem with the truck tires than the trailer's. That's not to say I wasn't a little disappointed and I called my salesman while I was on my first long trip to see if I was just being stupid. Since I have to choose having the longevity and strength of the steel belted tires outweighs that steel blocking the TPMS signal 🤷♂️

Dude, Ram gotta bring it because Ford definitely gonna do it on the cash cow Super Duty. I think they're gonna have some tricks up their sleeve when they move to the 5th Gen cab. They always do.
No tricks just intensive research and development, engineering and the courage to try new things and think outside the box. The on board generator/hybrid system didn’t happen overnight. Ford has been doing hybrids since the early 2000’s and they’ve been continuously working on it since then. FCA hasn’t devoted any time or money developing advanced electric propulsion systems so there is no way they will be able to compete with Ford’s Powerboost technology.
@@khakiswag not necessarily true. The Pacifica PHEV and forthcoming 4XE JL Wrangler will serve as the basis for Ram, obviously with bigger batteries for a large vehicle. I suspect Ford will still lead the way though, because as you say they have been doing this for while(all the way back to the Hybrid Escape in the mid 2000s). That all-electric F150 is going to be interesting, just in time to steal the show from Rivian and Hummer.
