  • After we got the rotator positioned this job wasn't too difficult. Getting to it was definitely the hard part. This mixer was very top heavy and when they tried to turn the drum they said they almost lost it. Enjoy!

Country Repair- Thanks so much-- that's our property you saved. This was the 2nd driver to do this. First one recovered 3 times before managing to back a 1/2 mile to the road. Will there be a third one that makes it in the ditch or rolling over on us????? Could be more to come for your dedicated viewers.

Maybe the trucks will quit trying to negotiate your road until you fix it up so they do not have to back up that road, and don't have to negotiate the soft spots. just sayin...

When I drove a six axle Terex front discharge most of the time when we left the roadway the contractor/ customer had to sign the back of the delivery ticket that states there responsible for all damages and if needing a wrecker it was on there dime. I had the misfortune of rolling that mixer end over end at 90,000lbs due to the spotter on the site forgot that they buried huge concrete pipe and as I was backing he put me on that loose ground and over I went into a 12 ft deep hole. Things go silent when you think your going to be crushed to death but I got out abit banged up. Held on so tight I bent the steering wheel in half , my nuckles were touching. Didn't loose my job cause they knew the spotter screwed up. Took 4 heavy wreckers to get it out and over. Got it started and the mechanic brought a wheel from another truck, got the 10 or so yards of concrete out and drove it back to the yard. Glad I am here to tell the story. Greg

As a heavy equip operator and hauling very oversize loads, and a true concrete guy, and the time that mixer sitting waiting for the tow, ,,the cement would have bern setting up depending. Often quads get buried. They must dump their load or if offset dump their load. Ill guarantee it would have costed less money or close dumping 900 in cement , a dump truck or another ready mix truck pulling it out backwards on the road probably would have cost less. Not to mention tying but that ready mix truck up. Land owner to whom they were delivering to wouldn't have objected to having a free concrete embankment . Bla bla bla right or wrong. That truck was stuck and not even close to tipping over. Curious. How much did that pull cost.

Lets stop talking about it and just do. They put a man on the moon. The Egyptians built the pyramids, im pretty sure that truck will be just fine as shown by the video. I could have watched an oak tree grow 20 years faster than how long it took just to get that truck in. Harry, you're an old out of date part time farmer I'm willing to bet. If you we're a boss in this field, im pretty sure you'd have other things to do other than comment on you tube ,,,,, ,,in such a dumb. Way. If that truck is that important , were you paying the" operator""not truck driver" 50 plus bucks an hour with benefits and overtime to operate it. In the Wisconsin Midwest winters, the shit a tow operator has to put up with is beyond comprehension. 10 below zero, rip a truck down, be a mechanic, deal with traffic, interstates being shut down. Freezing to death, getting the truck unhooked at night in a blizzard, etc..etc.... And you're going to make a stupid comment on this easy haul. And..I have nearly lost several trucks myself from surprise events like a roadway collapse. Or..let out the air on the passenger side and rotate drum to discharge, that moves the mud over to the other side of the drum. Throw some timbers in front of the driver tires on the low side. Just get truck level.
