  • We asked On The Tools to put our Genius Gun Plasterboard Adhesive Foam to the test. The result? A single 750ml canister installed more plasterboards than a 25kg Bag of Drywall Adhesive.

    OK for a good wall but no use for packing out.

    I didn’t see the guy use a level on the foamed boards? How much resistance does the foam offer when tapping the board on to get level, if you ove do it and pull it back then what happens to the foam?

    drywall adhesive will suck any damp in the wall and cause black mould to grow the adhesive in a can wont transfer damp from the brickwork

    Nice, the other advantage is void behind the wall.

    Arnt you supposed to use mechanical fixings when using foam adhesive incase of fire??

      If you are installing fire retardant plasterboard as part of a fire system, then fire retardant screws would be recommended. If you have a specific project in mind, you are more than welcome to contact our technical team who would be able to make recommendations in terms of the products eligible for use: 01827 261 092

    6 boards???
    When i used it in the same adhesive application layout as you have i managed 1.5 boards (@8x4’) and at very best if your lucky 2.
    Do not believe you got anywhere near 6

      Multiple factors can affect the yield of Plasterboard Adhesive Foam (always ensure you shake the can prior to use to maximize yield, as well as temperature of the canister). Boards are supplied in different sizes, we typically state that Genius Gun Plasterboard Adhesive will do 12 meters squared of plasterboard paneling. Here you can find our Technical Data Sheet with full application details: www.soudal.co.uk/diy/products/adhesives/foam-adhesives/plasterboard-adhesive-foam-gen

    Does it continuously give off fumes afterwards?

    • @SoudalUK
      @SoudalUK  Před 5 měsíci +1

      No, the Plasterboard Adhesive is chemically inert once cured, meaning no fumes, no smells.

    Don't show you using the Genius gun to put up the plasterboard. Fishy

    • @SoudalUK
      @SoudalUK  Před rokem +1

      Genius Gun is our patented applicator, the red part on top of the can. It provides much better control when compared with other hand-held systems, with a trigger that accurately controls the flow of foam (similar to gun grade, without the need to buy/maintain an additional gun). It is also resealable, so any left-over product can be used on your next job. For a better explanation, feel free to visit our website: www.soudal.co.uk/diy/genius-gun

    None of the aerosol adhesives work.

    Rubbish, maybe ok on a true flat wall but if you've got service pipes etc to get over you need the dab to give you that depth. DIY maybe, trade no chance

    • @SoudalUK
      @SoudalUK  Před rokem +1

      As with any product, it is always important to assess suitability prior to application (so many variables to consider in construction). Indeed, in circumstances where there are service pipes, we would not recommend the use of plasterboard adhesive foam. You can always refer to the technical data sheet available on our website to check suitability for your application: www.soudal.co.uk/sites/default/files/soudal_api/document/F0030867_0001.pdf Alternatively you can contact our technical line for advice: 01827 261 092 (Mon-Fri - 9am until 5pm)
