Goals by Jordan Hearn, Gordie Riddoch and Nathan Rollinson sealed a memorable Chatham Cup Preliminary Round victory over Bohemian Celtic at Michaels Avenue Reserve in Ellerslie today.
The 3-0 scoreline was enough to give Scott MacKay's team a deserved victory in front of a small crowd of about a hundred.
The margin of victory could've been wider if not for good goalkeeping and a series of efforts that hit the post or crossbar, four in total for the visitors. Bohemian Celtic rarely threatened to score with Steff Gait called into action just once late in the second half.
The home side clipped the crossbar with a long range shot but the day belonged to the West Auckland-based Kiwi True Blues FC with supporters driving up from as far away as Hamilton, Helensville and Ngaruawahia to get behind the team.
