I completely agree, when i first played i was in fifth grade, and the whole intro was cool, but the best part of the game was exiting Helgan and just staring at the vast mountains and endless trails to explore. Then after that brief moment of wonder my adventures began!

It’s crazy how powerful the music is. hearing these songs gave me a sense of comfort but also sadness that I’m not back in 2011 playing Skyrim with no worry in the world.

For everyone asking I'm great. I am loving this game but it's glitchy on windows store so I'm gonna buy it on steam
@@ImDirtyDan73 just a bit of advice if you plan on making multiple characters, when you first start the game on your first character profile right at the beginning you can save the game before your character jumps of the wagon right before the character creation screen. Once you’ve done that you can save just after you finish making your character back out into the menu screen and immediately load up the “prisoner” save file which will allow you to completely skip the intro scene and get right into making your next character.
Bought the game yesterday and enjoying my 1st ever playthrough 🙂❤️

It's crazy . This game is 11 years old. This is forever in gaming years. It's as if hundreds of thousands of people still loved and talked about a movie from the 70s.
Oh man, all those nights spent outside Whiterun walls with 1:15:45, looking for some ingredients you're missing for the potions for the morning adventure, killing a dear and making some leather gauntlets on your way back Breezehome, going to the Drunken Huntsman to check if he has any new bows since it's always opened, and maybe buy some arrows... My best moment was when I started playing and fought the dragon at the Western Watchtower for the first time. I saw it arriving from the mountains with its wings deployed and that song started. I thought to myself: "This game is gonna be fucking epic".

Well yesterday i was making my way to join the imperial legion and out of fucking nowhere this dragon just like flies over my head and lands almost besides me. A lot of deaths later i finally defeated it on my own, it was awesome.
I'm sure it wasn't the same though. The one you fought in "Dragon Rising" has a name, this one could be some random "Dragon", "Blood Dragon", "Frost Dragon", or "add some random dragon to the word dragon" dragon.
And damn you f**king dragons for my crispy burned horse almost everytime!

It's difficult to say, but I will say that it probably is the greatest RPG ever, at least the best I've ever played. It's not even just the best RPG I've ever played, it's the best GAME I ever played. I hope the next Elder Scrolls game is just as amazing if not better. During my shitty years of Middle School, this game was my escape from reality. I would sit in class for 7 hours waiting to get home and play this game until 1 in the morning.

A couple of years ago I was involved in a low budget, film student movie, shot on the Ilse of Skye off the north west coast of Scotland. I played an old Saxon warrior, a bodyguard of a dead king. Costume was a beautiful authentic wool, fur and leather job, handmade by a woman who had worked on Game of Thrones, with a gorgeous Saxon pattern sword. (Underneath, I was smart enough to wear my thermals, waterproofs and a pair of Sealskinz socks.)
In-between takes, as the crew set up (which can take bloody ages, let me tell you), I'd wander off a ways, and look over the Cuillin mountains, pop on my earphones, and hit Play on Skyrim's OST.
Time stood still in those moments. I was in another world, another time. An experience I'll never forget.
This game will always have a special place in my heart

for example i know almost every code in the "cheat" engine on pc.
That's what mods are for. playing as a thief or as an assassin or a a blade or a storm cloak commander. you can change so much it's like a new world every time.
Looking at the cover, thinking this guy looks badass, and then realising he has some of the crappiest armour in the game.

2:15:55 I remember being like 14 years and seeing my best friend's brother fighting Alduin. The Xbox 360, the colourful sky, the spells, the music. I didn't see anything like this before.
Never did my naive Warcraft and Nintendo playing ass see something like Skyrim before. It was breathtaking. I just wanted him to look at the sky all the time.

Sometimes during a heavy blizzard I like to hike up a mountain peak and shout Clear Skies up to the skies and just watch the aurora borealis while the soundtrack plays in the background. During those moments it feels like a virtual world is more beautiful then real life.

One of my favorite things to do in Skyrim was just go exploring. Most video games you were fighting all the time and it got old real fast.

This is one of the very few games that I wish I could erase completely from my memory. That I could experience it all over again. That first time you walked over a hill and saw Whiterun in the distance, the first time you ventured into the draugr catacombs, that first walk in the birchwoods outside Riften and that first time you were attacked by a dragon.

I feel the exact same way. If only it was possible :'( Skyrim has given me so much more than any other game has. I cannot count how many hours I have spend on that game killing bandits, harvesting dragon souls, experienced the wonderful world and nature of Skyrim, killing more bandits, exploring dungeons and catacombs, killing even more bandits etc. If it only it was possible to experience it, all over again...
i feel the opposite, i hope i will never forget the game and all its amazing moments so maybe one day we can get an even better game and then compare it to the masterpiece that skyrim was.
Simple, get wasted before every time you play it. The nest day you won't remember any of it.

Every time I listen to Skyrim music, my mind begins to travel ... so many memories come back, when I and my brothers tried Skyrim for the first time, it was love at first sight, a game unique even in its imperfections. Finished and refinished several times over the years. Now I'm here, 10 years after its release, and listening to these music again makes me nostalgic for those carefree times ...

Ahh the nostalgia of Skyrim from me is insane. I still play Skyrim to this day, but I’ll never forget when my friends older brother introduced me to this game for the first time back in 2011 (I was eight years old at the time) I wasn’t able to play it myself, but watching him play it inspired me to play it when I got older. Yeah I still play it, mods or no mods. My friend and I are still friends, although I we don’t talk to each other, we have matured and gone our separate ways. And his older brother is in the military been in it for almost four years. Just glad to have experienced Skyrim

I love Skyrim SO much. I actually have a story to tell: So, Back like, a year ago, our family gaming console was the Xbox 360. We had Skyrim for it. It was one Christmas when my Dad got it for us, and I was the first person to play it. I fell in love with it. After all, my dad DID say that the whole family will LOVE it. Anyways, for months upon months that is all we played, was Skyrim. So then, last Christmas, we got a upgrade to the Xbox One. But what we didn't think about, was Skyrim. We later found out that they didn't have Skyrim for the Xbox One, and that the Xbox 360 version wasn't backwards compatible with it. So, we couldn't play Skyrim. And ever since then, lol, it seems like our family has been going through a depression. UNTIL. That UNTIL is big game changer. We found out that the remastered version of Skyrim was coming out for the Xbox One at the end of October. Our family was joyful and happy for weeks, then we got tired of waiting. And now, October is just starting, and now we know: ONE MORE MONTH! Ever since then, it seems like every night we have stayed up talking about our previous Skyrim lives and how fun it was, and how it will change, how hard it will be to gain back all of those levels we once had, the adventures we went on, we even had discussions comparing and contrasting our opinouns about different things, like magic or no magic? Imperials or Stormcloaks? Good or evil? Miraak or Auldiun? (I personally like the Imperials, but you probably don't care.) And we are still waiting until the end of the month today. It is coming SOON! LOL, I actually want to tell you about my previous Skyrim life. You are probably getting tired of reading this comment, so you can stop here if you want. Anyways, I had decided that I wanted a sort of casual life. If you read the Hobbit at all, I am like Bilbo. I like home and my town, but I sort of feel the itch for adventure at the same time. I had a house in Whiterun, I was a citizen there. I went to the market square everyday, and meet new people. My favirote person from that market square however was the one Breton that owned a market in the bottom left corner of the square. Man, me and him were buddies. However, I soon realized that I had the itch to earn more money. So, I had remembered a lumberjack in Riverwood that was willing to give pay people for work. So I started going to Riverwood a few days a week to earn a few gold pieces. It did help, too. I got like 1000 pieces a day. Now, yes, I did go on advetures and complete some quests every once in a while. Then that was until I found a glitch that got me 10000 gold pieces, so I was rich. Life in Whiterun was nice, too. I had a house, a wife, and 2 kids. I would go hunting outside the city walls every once in a while. I was friends with Jarl Baulgruff. I was dragonborn, I was a pretty popular dude in Whiterun. And life was perfect. A lot of other Skyrim players made fun of me for how I liked to play Skyrim, even my Dad did. I didn't care that much though, I just laughed along with it. Actually, there was a time when my Dad said, "Haha! All of the world is burning down due to Stormcloaks, and everyone is dying due to dragons, and you're sittin' here in Riverwood tryna' earn a few pieces! HAHA!". I personally though it was funny too. Okay, that is it for this comment. If you have read up to this point, good job. You are now legendary, and you will be recieving your very own helicopter at your door in about five minutes. (It's a scam.) Anyways. . . Bye, I guess.

Meanwhile, I spent my time in Riverwood killing everyone. Thousands of hours murdering, both stealthily and by running through the town with my dual wielding swords, everybody, then I would reload the save file and try doing it a different way. Magic was pretty fun too.

I can't understand why in the comments "The Streets Of Whiterun" ( 1:55:17 ) is hardly ever mentioned, it's one of the most beautiful compositions I've ever heard, it's like a mixture of nostalgic memories, a feeling of safety as if one were at home, and of softness like snowflakes.

Sadly Elder Scrolls Online does not compare, maybe the Witcher 3 can satisfy my need to play another open world fantasy game?
