- An amazing performance by Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross.
I think this video aired between 1969 and 1970.
One or two years late Stevie Wonder was going to start his incomparable career of creating and inovating. The genius marked the music history creating the most powerfull and fantastic songs of ever (in my opinion).
Watch it - Hudba
There's a reason why Diana and Stevie was among Motown's elite. It was not accidental at all. At the end of the day these are REAL, TRUE vocalists. Listen to how they sing so effortlessly.
Stevie's first vocal part, up to the 1:30 mark, may have been one of the most perfectly, recorded vocals pieces in the history of humankind.
The real Stevie is wonderful ❤😊
No fr....I was like blow away with his delivery
Stevie does things vocally that are absolutely amazing! His timing and placement is perfection never too much nor to little.
Diana Ross has sung with every star imaginable. She's the truest legend of all time.
That's so true I'm glad you realize that and to all the haters tell them to go sit down somewhere unless they can do better thank you for your comment
dionne warwick up there also
@@dennismcelholme3290 she never sung with Beyoncé
@James Hodson World Cup? Lol. If so, she's managed to make appearance legendary too. I'm ok with it....Diana is always GAME 😉☺️👍
She's also likely slept with every star imaginable
Diana’s speaking voice is even amazing 😉
When Diana did this with The Temptations, it was like she was singing with an all-time great team. With Stevie, she sang with an all time great individual. The Temp version is classic. This version is once in a lifetime.
+matman8540 Stevie nearly outdid Eddie Kendricks if that was even possible and I like that version as well....but Stevie can take a song and make it even better once he begins his vocals.
So relaxed two friends in harmony.
It's amazing how Diana Ross' speaking voice is as smooth as her singing one.
Diana and Whitney's speaking voices were absolutely dreaming. They could sing the alphabet and I'd listen all day! ..aahhh
Which ain't saying much

stevie's talent is staggering
Incredible!!!!
His voice is absolutely magical
That's why she is the BOSS.
I have heard Stevie say he fell in love with her the moment her heard her voice! Smart man! lol
@@buckwildproductions7354 so lucky for him that he was blind, as that would have completely ruined it for him; he would have been too horrified to even remember what Diane Ernestine's voice sounded like.
Diana sang so effortlessly. its crazy
I wish Soul music was still like this.
Y’all Diana is so dope! Such a legend. I mean they both are, but Diana has helped so many of the greats as we know them today! Go Diana!
Diana was 25 years old and Stevie Wonder 19 years old when this was aired in 1969.
Adam Glennane awesome
Adam Glennane wow
And even back then....Stevie easily held his own.
Damm 51 yrs ago Diana today 75 Stevie will be 70 this yr nothing but history in music
N I was just born in 69. Born into and at a great point in music!!!!
The way Diana hits that note in "I'm gonna make u love me!" Gives me goosebumps!
Diana was effortless as always 💜
No lip syncing here... absolutely wonderful.
Ah men................
Ana Castellano 6
Ana Castellano right
Adrien Brown where were the microphones located back then when they were hands free .. I see this a lot in oldie live performances
Why is that relevant? Why are all videos of great old music filled with sanctimonious comments denigrating all modern music, as if it's all the same. Step outside of the Top 40 and experience incredible lesser-known musicians doing stunning work today.
She's the best live performer who's ever lived, male or female. No one has ever had what she has. Ever.
The way he goes so seamlessly from the chromo-harp to singing is absolutely amazing!
Diana's hair is awesome here and really suits her. The performance is also awesome.
Once the sisters found, discovered , developed the beutiful hair options they become the most beautiful females in the world.
I cant even put into words what I just witnessed...That was beautiful!!
Diana's voice was made 2 sing those words I'm Gonna Make You Love Me.
So natural so perfect so Diana so supreme.
I felt that last kiss from Diana myself. She is a Queen Forever and Always in my book!
I could watch this over and over and over. Diana is such a little flirt-no wonder everyone was crazy in love with her.
I was never crazy I love with her. she stinks
In love with her? Did you see the way she slither up to him. Remininscent of a relative of hers. Alledgedly.
@@davidvack4382 How close did you get‼️
David vack another loser hoping Florence may come back.
She was fat and had a mediocre voice, that’s why Diana got rid of her.
Marie Wilton was just as bad.
@@dressmakersdummy54 yes Ms Ross also got rid of Gladys knight on that tour too didn't she? Such an insecure jealous witch Diane was.
She has the most Beautiful eyes I have ever seen. And a nice voice
Check out Stevie's incredible ability to improvise and embellish any song...Just FABULOUS. I can't stop playing this one.
I was a little boy when this came out on TV, and already at this point Stevie Wonder was and still is my favorite singer, well over 50 years later.
And the incomparable Miss Diana Ross, yes she was gorgeous and still is and she is still the boss.
I loved the music at this time in R&B history. So clean, so creative, such good singing.
Diana and Stevie together! It's a SOULGASM!
Stevie's the real deal. Doesn't get much better than this! Diana and he singing this song was a marriage made in the stars!
Wow. Young Stevie was fire! I wish they had recorded this in the studio.
RE Stevie Wonder and "creating the most powerfull and fantastic songs," one might say the same about the team of Holland, Dozier, Holland, Barry Gordy and Diana Ross. Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross are without a doubt two of the greatest popular music performers of the 20th Century. Thank you for sharing this video
If you don't like this, you need to check yourself for a pulse.
Or a soul or a conscience or a heart or a set of values...
+Mercurial Stranger if you think Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder were lip syncing you have serious issues lmfao
In those days, they placed the mics above (over the performer). I wish they go back to doing that. Sometimes you could see it during taping. Or the shadow of the mic.
They are not lip-syncing. You cannot lip sync talent. You can give that award to Madonna, Britney and the other "so-called" artist. )
IKR
He made this song a THOUSAND TIMES Better!!!!!!! MY Goodness what a tremendous talent. And yes of course Mrs Diana Ross!!!!
You done lost your damn foolish mind.
Stevie was a looker back in the day damn
Yea he was
he was beautiful
...is beautiful.
Ayesha Curry How's your cookbook? Lol
+K Moore lolololol
I love how flirty they were. Sheesh!
Published on Aug 19 2010
Dianna flirted with a lot of men. She's the BOSS.
U mean like this, Baaaaby?
Flirty back then vs pure vulgarity today
She flirted with EVERYONE at Motown and fucked alot of them too, especially it's owner Berry Gordy
Damn! Diana had swagger.
stevie and michael are the only guys that can make me smile!, they make me so happy it touches my hearts n makes me cry
You can tell they really loved each other in the good way.
Say what you want about Diana- but she just had it back then! Her vocals are great here! And Stevie-classic.
Stevie's remarkable sense of phrasing and tone in his vocals lets him take over any song and make it his. Diana sings it like she did on the recording but Stevie hardly goes by the standard set by the Temptations, which made every performance of his an adventure where you didn't know what to expect. What a genius, not just with singing too obviously.
This is my first time hearing this song with these two icons. Their voices are so beautiful together. 💕 💞
her voice gives me the chills.. so nice
Its like honey.
If her voice gives u the chills, then someone of a Phyllis Hyman caliber must give u the hives, the chills AND the runs. That Phyllis Hyman has the most beautiful female voice I've ever heard
@@punkanellylovejoy702One of my top5 in female American voices alone with Sarah Vaughn, Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick and Rachel Farrell
@@beyourself2444 I was never really familiar with Sara Vaughan's singing But apparently she was a pretty unique and rare singer. Chaka Khan was a great singer but I wasn't really into Chaka Khan's music. Plus she hollered alot. Her hollering sounded beautiful at times, but there were many instances where her hollering just didn't appeal to me at all. I loved Dionne's style of singing and the sound of her voice and so many of her songs.
@@beyourself2444 I liked Aretha's voice (usually) and alot of her songs but she often made these hollas that didn't sound nice at all to me. And that Patti LaBelle does some phenomenal high notes but she screeches too much for me, making some of the ugliest sounds known man (or woman or tranny or UFO). With all that over singing and showboating that she does. Now I don't often condone violence but why can't someone (for just once) run up on that stage and just haul off and SLAP that Patti. I know that's mean cuz Patti has a beautiful spirit but still someone should just SLAP that woman when she's onstage doing that stuff (though her fans seem to LOVE it).
when diana kissed him, he had had that really large smile like he was in heaven!
Oh man, REAL SINGING, MUSIC. And Mr. Stevie and Ms. Diana are so beautiful. Awwwwwee sing the song lovely people.
I know she was in love with Barry, but am not sure how she could resist Stevie! He is so very charming!
So charming!
Love had nothing to do with it (on her part). Trust me.
Diana Ross is certainly in a class by herself. One of the greatest entertainers ever!
This is just perfection....and you can tell, there are definitely vibes between them😏
Right now 2016 Stevie and Ms. Ross need to get together and do a tour across the US.
+sherrod000 I second that e-motion!
sherrod000 omg
Love Diana's stroll across that stage. lol
Solid Gold. After 50 years, this performance still gives me chills and mucho, mucho smiles.
They made magic - Love & Respect
beautiful, you can see they adore each other xx
"what's happening baby? - Me" hehe.. gotta love that.

This music was made to Diana's voice! A perfectly combination!
oh my.... what is he, 19 years old? can you imagine?
Can you imagine he signed motown at the age of 11 ..🐑
Brilliant timing on that Mrs. Robinson cymbal crash.
This is an AMAZING video!! Two musical prodigies of their time building off of each others performance.. and compared to today, SO NOT FAKE! They look like they are genuinely having a good time together performing.
Just this small performance from stevie wonder ..shows that he was a musical genius his voice and timing with Diana and his riffing in between her versus an absolute musical genius.....when he hit that high note I got goosebumps
The Boss has such a great voice.
DIANE 💖
Yes Bruce Springsteen does indeed have a great voice
Wow...these kids were really young and talented, where does the time go??? They're
still two of the Worlds Greatest Legends til' this day, you go Ms. Diana & Mr. Stevie!!
The way he bends the melody in the first verse is beyond brilliant.
Other than that, interesting to see her struggling at times to phrase with this prolific improviser!
Jeeeeeeasus! Two young masters playing with beauty, power, and love
2023 NEVER ever saw this before!!! But it’s WONDERFUL n I LOVE it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
You can see the smile on Stevie's face when sings this song. For him as it is for us, pure joy. I don't believe Stevie's blindness has handicapped him. He has been able to use his imagination and creativity to create his musical vision. A pure genius, optimist, and beautiful person. Thank you Stevie Wonder.
Wow. Late browsing through music, classics are what I find.
Dig it, baby! #metoo
Stevie Wonder, sempre me emociona. É o maior cantor do mundo.
Stevie was so handsome too! Nice duet! 😍
2020 Who's Still Into Legends 🎶
I've always loved her, she was a class act and so was Stevie. I'm from Motown and grew up listening to them day and night. They don't make music like this any more!
i was born in 1982..a hiphop head thats knows great and classical music.this is just great
Stevie and Dianna, Jesus how much better can it get
Two Motown legends,Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder holding it down, respect
Stevie does things vocally that are absolutely amazing!
oh my god!
fun, innocent, real, playful, intimate.....
....and then he whips out his harmonica......
too good
The INCOMPARABLE Stevie Wonder. We are so lucky to experience his genius in our lifetime.
like in a walk in the park he breaks into a classic with another legend.. then the harmonica and then waltzes over to the keys for another round ,...amazing the talent that was required back then.
It's always special when musical icons of this caliber come together.
Honey-dripped voice of Diana Ross give me goose bumps and Stevie is just Wow!
more talent on that stage than every one of today's artists combined
This is one of my favorite videos I found. 2 icons. Never knew Stevie looked so smooth when he was young. Plays multiple instruments, His tiny little noises and vocal sounds he makes during the song, his timing is genius. Their performance is organic, like they are really enjoying each other. 😊
How many of you are old enough to know what Stevie meant by referring to Diana as "Mrs. Robinson?" Click thumbs up if you are.
+John Smith I'm not. Would you be kind enough to explain it to me?
+Kendrick The reference was to the 1967 movie "The Graduate" that had an older woman - "Mrs. Robinson - having an affair with a much younger man. The song 'Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel is from that same movie.
Thanks!
+John Smith I was born the same year the the Graduate came out (1967)...so Yup...I got what Steve meant.

beautiful, beautiful, amazing... so lovely performance Diana and Stevie, that's what I call a perfect duet.
OH - MY - GOD! Such a beautiful performance! That's AMAZING.
This is the first video where I've seen Stevie Wonder when he's young, so much soul!
Stevie is a living genius. Someone stated that 200 years from now that he would be remembered along with Mozart and Brahms and I definitely agree. You had the opportunity to witness his greatness.
What a treat it is to hear these two legends perform this classic song. It was wonderful when Ms. Ross & the Supremes did it with the Temptations & it's just as good here.
Great performance.....Stevie puts his stamp of originality on it.
After 40+ years his voice still sounds the same. Amazing!
Such a legendary performance
WOW. Always loved this song, but this version just terrific--with Stevie Wonder's vocal pyrotechnics!
Amazing duet!
If there was one moment in time that made me love Diana it is this.
I love the contrast between these 2. Diana singing it so clean and simple with her undeniable charm and Stevie dripping soul all over this sweetness.
diana makes it literally look effortless when she sings
I just love Diana that's y she stole mjs heart shz such a sweet babe
