Cool cars. Take them. Boards would be great. You might grt to meet Tim there. Got your card today. Thank you very much brother. Thanks for the shout out. 😊
Thanks Charlie, I got some boards for the ones I'm taking. I'm hoping to meet Tim from Throttle Power if he's there. Thanks again and have a good weekend.
I love the Ol' Down & Dirty Fairlane, she's my favorite of my slot cars. It should be fun i'm thinking. I'm hoping to get some deals on a couple of kits also. Thanks Will, have a good Sunday.
Like everyone else is saying....do it!! You wont regret it!!! Show off your work with no expectations...you might be suprised!!!! Everything you showed looked awesome!! Most of the shows ive been to dont judge the base unless youre in a diorama class, so either take the guides off if you like or use the grooved board...but JUST HAVE FUN AND ENJOY YOURSELF!!!
Thanks Chris, I appreciate that. I'm gonna make me some boards this week to set them on, I don't want to take the guides off all them, just the Karman Ghia. I appreciate you commenting.👍
It's fun just to show your stuff, any awards are just icing on the cake. All the 'ghia needs is some plastic in the windows to enter it as a "slammer".
Shows are a lot of fun Markus, you can meet so many nice people, I would encourage you to go and enjoy, meet some folks, if you happen to pick up an award, Bonus!!!
I think it'll be fun, I'm more interested in the swap meet but this will be cool. A slammer? Instead of the slot car class? Reckon that would be ok? Black the windows, is that what you mean?
I agree, Your Vega is going with me for sure. Not so sure your sister is going with me, gonna be there a few hours. Call me if you want to go with me, I'll pick you up on the way.
I'm thinking it'll be fun. I'm not expecting anything more that that for sure. I'm interested in the swap meet more than anything but I figured why not? thanks Eddie, I appreciate ya. Have a good rest of the weekend.👍
I'm a swap meet guy my self. have taken a couple down just to show made it just a little fun curb side kits don't have motor would make a better display with the base under them.
It don't hurt to put a model in the show. If you are going, put some in. I liked building slot cars several years ago. I've thought about getting back into it a little. I had several within 20 minutes, now it's more than a half hour to one... But it is associated with our local 1/1 drag strip. I've got a couple bodies I had ready...need to get some stuff to build a few chassis...
I disagree, everyone has a car worth showing! Take a car(s) and participate! It's not about winning anything, folks will just be happy that you brought something. Your builds are always a good conversation starter and it leads to making friends. My philosophy, always go, always take something and it will never be a waste of time! This is half of the hobby in my opinion!
Thanks Billy, it's always cool to meet other folks with the same interest's. I'm gonna take at least 4 of the slot cars, and it won't be a waste of time for sure. These things are vintage by now, lol. Thanks Billy, I appreciate ya.

I haven't been to a show yet either. I'd pick your best ones and have fun. I love the Fairlane drag car! Looks awesome!😎👍

@@HotrodzModelShop465 Yes, blacked out windows, so you don't need an interior
@@HotrodzModelShop465 yep, black out the windows
@@ramblers69 Thanks Tom, I'll black the windows.Should i take the guide off of it so it sits flat?
You need the boards

I'm gonna make a base for all the ones I'm taking except the Karman Ghia. Are you going to that show in Louisville next weekend?
@@HotrodzModelShop465 no I'm in Michigan.
