Thanks for the awesome shout out, I really appreciate it. It sucks that the glass for the Earnhardt car is messed up. You may be able to sand and polish it out though. The little pick up is going to be cool as either a gasser or an altered. There should be some useful extras in the Mooneyes kit.
@@Reds_Scrapyard I'll have to get in there and see what all is in there.
Great shoutout for Red! Really cool add to the stash, and nice update!👍
Thanks Will, I found it in my stuff from years ago. Forgotten Stash? Have a good safe rest of the weekend and a safe week ahead.
Nice update Marcus
Thanks Sam, have a good, safe weekend.
Red is a awesome guy, cool Challenger kit, your Nascar build is looking great Markus, 😎👍✌️
Thanks Tom, have a good safe weekend.
I like the idea of finishing those kits....looks good!
Thanks Billy, I've got several to get finished up. Have a good safe weekend.
On the rear axle of that NASCAR chassis is an oil pump to circulate the rear axle oil through an oil cooler. The pump is driven by a toothed belt that is in turn driven by a pulley on the driveshaft yoke. Usually the cooler (a small radiator) is mounted in the back of the floor of the car. It will generally have a fan unit mounted over it to take air from inside the car and blow it down through the cooler and out through a screened opening in the floor to under the car. I love that 29 Roadster Pickup. That rear axle is yes... a Halibrand Quick Change. That early style used Ford V8 ring and pinion gears in the Halibrand housing. Powered comes in from the driveshaft. Passes under the axle using a long shaft all the way to the back. Then on the end of that long shaft is a gear that drives another gear above it that's on the end of the pinion shaft. Then the pinion shaft takes power forward to the ring gear on the axle. These 2 gears at the back are the quick change gears. You can easily and quickly take off the rear cover plate to get to these 2 gears at the back. They are easy to remove and replace with a different pair of gears to change the rear axle gear ratio with messing with the ring and pinion and fussing with getting them set up and meshing properly. This axle setup uses the axle tubes on the sides from the Ford rear axle assembly. There are other later Halibrand Quick change axles like the bigger, beefier one found in the Monogram sprint car model kits from the 1980s and newer. Looks like I'm setting myself up as the rear axle expert here. I'm definitely not that. Just sharing what I DO know at no extra charge. 😎 I forget what that frame your using under that Model A body came from. The parallel front leaves are definitely not Model A which uses transverse leaf springs front and back. So please refresh our fading feeble old guy memories what that frame came from. Your reference to taking the car apart and sending parts to the blaster is cool. As a retired fabricator (race cars of many sorts, hot rods, muscle cars, etc.) I have done that many times. Build a car. Then take it all apart and send pieces like the frame to be chemical dipped and others to the blaster to prep them for fresh paint and final assembly. I build models the same way. Do all the fabrication then take it apart and paint it. Many model builders and many of my full scale customers want to go straight for paint. Or send the car for paint when I'm in the middle of fabricating stuff that will affect the paint. I was just looking at pictures last night from a 67 Mustang road racer projectI worked on about 12 years ago. Photos were from a test session at Willow Springs Raceway. I saw the pretty paint with flat black on the rear fender because the tires available now are different from those available in the 1960s. The rear fenders had been replaced because somebody had hacked the original quarter panels and added huge fender flares. So they needed to be replaced. I wanted the car to be tested BEFORE paint. Cost the customer a couple thousand to get the rear fenders re-painted after reworking them to fit. There were other paint issues too.🙄
Thanks Dusty, I love the detail of the Nascar kits such as the pump for the rear end cooler. I'm a long time ( from childhood ) Racecar Junkie, Thanks to my Daddy. Have a good safe weekend Dusty, I appreciate ya commenting.

@@HotrodzModelShop465 you’re welcome!
Great shoutouts, Marcus!👍
Thanks Will, Have a good one.
I built the Ramchargers rail in the 60s. Built it OOB. Got a 2nd one with the modern transporter. Used rhe bed ramps to build a trailer because the transporter truck is not my style. Modified the 2nd rail cut off the nose at the rear motor plate/firewall. Cut the tail off at the roll cage lower diagonal so the aluminum seat shell was exposed. As was common in cars without an aero tail. Neither one survived the earthquake in 71. Now that both versions are out again, I plan to buy a couple or more of the rails. 1 to build OOB again. 1 to build my 2nd one again. 1 to build with the Bantam Coupe body from the 1 to put a T roadster body on. So that's 4. I have a frame for a Jawbreaker, which is the Ramchatger chassis with a cut down 32 Tudor body shell. Which is kinda big and wonky for a Comp Dragster nody shell. Most used 23-25 T roadster, 32 Bantam Coupe, or Fiat Topolino. All compact body shells. But the Jawbreaker frame lacks axles. That Ramcharg e rs rail is a good one. Don't put it down because some folks don't like MPC muscle car kits rue to simplified chassis compared to current more detailed offerings. Got some good deals there. That deuce is a fine kit too. It is actually a kit of a real hotrod from a long time ago. Maybe you SHOULD have taken your slot cars. Some fine models in thos slot cars. Just because nobody else entered, so you beat yourself. Nobody entering means the category won't exist next time. At least you would keep it alive. I'm subbed to Tim's channel. I'm still catching up on what I missed in the hospital and all the doctor visits since. I'll get to Tim's Derby City show. He does pretty good coverage.
Thanks Dusty, I like all the Old School Dragster's. The 32' 5 window is one of the Coupe's I've been wanting. I hope you get those kits to do your builds again. If I'd hadn't had something come up that I absolutely had to get took care of I would have taken the Slot Cars. Dang, I didn't think of it as the class might not exist due to no interest. Tim always has Cool coverage of where ever he's at, Model Cars, Real Cars, He's a really Cool Feller. Thanks for checking us out and commenting.

From me, One Word.......EUREKA!! GREAT FINDS, Thanks for video Fella and Hey, I'm Fairley new at this modeling thing, but didn't even know there was a Revell car of Ken Burns and Carroll Shelby's Cobra. I gotta Hunt that one down. Thanks

You played it very very cool Man! The end of the day headed for the door, that is the time to ask what they would take for a kit. Those fellows don't really want to take those kits back home. Slot cars came out great, I havnt bilt 1/24 scale slot cars in a long time, good memories, thanks!
@@slowridemodelcars1687 Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed them and I'm glad you had an old memory come to you. Have a good and safe week ahead.
It don't hurt to put a model in the show. If you are going, put some in. I liked building slot cars several years ago. I've thought about getting back into it a little. I had several within 20 minutes, now it's more than a half hour to one... But it is associated with our local 1/1 drag strip. I've got a couple bodies I had ready...need to get some stuff to build a few chassis...
@@LambchopBuilds the place I used to race them closed a long time ago. I always had fun with them.
You need the boards
I agree, Your Vega is going with me for sure. Not so sure your sister is going with me, gonna be there a few hours. Call me if you want to go with me, I'll pick you up on the way.
I haven't been to a show yet either. I'd pick your best ones and have fun. I love the Fairlane drag car! Looks awesome!😎👍
I love the Ol' Down & Dirty Fairlane, she's my favorite of my slot cars. It should be fun i'm thinking. I'm hoping to get some deals on a couple of kits also. Thanks Will, have a good Sunday.
Why not take them all
I've got 6 in the running but I think i'm gonna narrow it down to 4. Thanks for checking them out. Have a good Sunday Don.
