  • After attending the CMTA Physical Therapy Workshop in late 2017, CMTA Board Member Steve O’Donnell realized the tremendous need for a series of CMT physical therapy-centered exercise videos. As an avid and committed workout enthusiast, Steve has seen first-hand the crucial role fitness plays in slowing the progression of CMT symptoms.
Steve has partnered with renowned Physical Therapist/Neurologic Clinical Specialist Mike Studer to create a comprehensive fitness program for all levels and abilities that focuses on the following five areas: Flexibility, Balance, Strengthening, Endurance and Function. Please take the time to watch these videos and participate at your level. When you have mastered that level, challenge yourself to take your function to the next level. It is Steve’s hope that this workout will inspire you to get moving!

I love this. I like to balance on a half ball platform. And then do squats. CMT won't hold me back

I am a bodybuilder so I am definitely in favor of exercise. Officially I have not been diagnosed with CMT I should have been diagnosed yesterday but the doctor I was referred to will not take my insurance. I take vitamin B7 which is a water soluble vitamin. I take it in very high doses. Vitamin B seven helps rebuild the myelin sheath and I have managed to get better balance with using it. Because I am a health nut it has been hard to truly get diagnosed. It’s been mega years I have been seeing neurologists. I honestly don’t look like I have a damn thing wrong with me. I have lost around 80 to 90% of feeling in my feet and probably in the neighborhood of 30% in my hands. I am a 52-year-old woman. I have been bodybuilding for over 40 years.

@@tracy08161967 have they run nerve conduction tests on you? that's one test they use to diagnose CMT. FYI According to the things to avoid list for CMT, megadoses of Pyroxidine (B6) is one of them. I'm not sure how that relates to the B7 you have been taking. Good luck!
