  • Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) covers a group of rare genetic disorders that affect motor and sensory peripheral nerves. Podiatrists may often see patients with CMT and are ideally placed to manage this condition. This video provides information on CMT and how to manage it from a podiatry perspective.

Thank you for the information. The background music does make the speech somewhat difficult to hear, by the way.

Do you have a reference for the reduced life expectancy research? As the NHS website and many other information sources suggest normal life expectancy

I really had no problems growing up with CMT, in wich i found out what might have caused this symptom. Some kind of pathogen disease and or environmental illness caused it. Proper testing can figure it out. What was found was 2 tick diseases, 2 candidas, mold mycotoxins and a virus, and these all turned nuerological and an immune suppressing issue and also worsened my charco-Marie-tooth symptom. Looking forward to getting stem cells which will repair the myelin sheath and nerve problems. No need for people to suffer when there are causes which can be found and cures which also can be made and are curative therapies available.
